Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 {Norm}

In the vast expanse of the Interstellar universe, a catastrophic event occurred over 949 million years ago, leaving Earth in ruins. The devastating cataclysm, known as "The Great Calamity," had a profound impact on the human body, resulting in the emergence of psychic powers.

These extraordinary abilities, known as "psychic powers," became an integral part of human existence, with two distinct types of abilities: unique abilities that were exclusive to each individual, and martial soul bloodlines that were passed down through family bloodlines.

However, amidst this new world of psychic users, there existed a rare and peculiar group known as "norms." Norms were individuals who, despite being born into this new world, did not possess any psychic powers.

They were as good as instinct, and their existence was a mere 1% of the population. Meeting a norm was a rare occurrence, and they were often viewed as anomalies in a world where psychic powers were the norm.

In this world, humans had undergone significant changes, resulting in the emergence of various new species, including werewolves, vampires, witches, and many more.

The average human lifespan had also increased, with some individuals living up to 2,350 years old. The world of Zsentre, a vast and interconnected network of planets and galaxies, was home to a diverse array of cultures, species, and civilizations.

Ludovica, a young woman with striking features and an enigmatic presence, was one such norm. Born without any psychic powers, she was raised in the backwater trailer park of Sewun, a place notorious for its dark and seedy underbelly.

The trailer park was a hotbed of illicit activities, with a thriving black market and a constant flow of shady characters.

Ludovica's early life was marked by uncertainty and neglect. As a child, she was abandoned in a trash can, left to fend for herself until she was discovered by Zoey Alton, a charismatic and cunning individual who owned a club and ran a black market operation.

Zoey, a queen of seduction, had a reputation for being ruthless and calculating, but she took a liking to Ludovica and decided to raise her as her own.

Growing up under Zoey's care, Ludovica was exposed to the darker side of life. The club, a hub of illicit activity, was a place where people came and went, often with ulterior motives.

Ludovica witnessed countless acts of debauchery, from Zoey's numerous affairs to the shady dealings that took place in the club's backrooms. Despite this, Zoey was a complex figure, driven by a mix of motivations that were both selfish and maternal.

She taught Ludovica how to survive in a world that was hostile to norms, and Ludovica grew up with a unique perspective on life, shaped by her experiences in the trailer park and the club.

As she navigated this treacherous landscape, Ludovica began to develop her own set of skills and strategies, ones that would serve her well in the trials that lay ahead.

Ludovica's beauty was truly otherworldly, as if she had been plucked straight from the pages of a fairy tale. Her light silver lavender hair cascaded down her back like a river of moonlight, each strand shimmering with a subtle, ethereal glow. Her eyelashes, long and luscious, brushed against each other with every blink, casting a hypnotic spell on anyone who dared to gaze into her eyes.

Her skin, a soft, snowy white, was pale yet radiant, as if infused with a gentle, inner light. It was a complexion that seemed almost fragile, yet somehow, it only added to her allure, making her appear even more delicate and vulnerable.

Her legs, long and slender, were a sight to behold, with a subtle, athletic strength that hinted at a hidden power. Her fingers and hands, delicate and refined, seemed to be made for artistic pursuits, as if she were a pianist or a painter.

Her lips, soft and inviting, were a gentle, rose-petal pink, and seemed to be perpetually curved into a subtle, enigmatic smile. It was a smile that hinted at secrets and mysteries, a smile that seemed to hold the power to captivate and enthrall.

Despite her petite stature of only 5'2", Ludovica's presence was imposing, her slender body seeming to shimmer and glow with an inner light. Her eyes, those stunning, mixed crimson and rose gold orbs, seemed to hold the very essence of her being, shining like two bright stars in the darkness.

They were eyes that seemed to see right through you, eyes that seemed to hold a deep, ancient wisdom, eyes that seemed to be windows to a soul that was both fragile and unbreakable. They were eyes that seemed to be the very key to her being, the source of her power and her mystery.

As Ludovica moved, her very presence seemed to command attention, her beauty and her aura combining to create a presence that was both captivating and intimidating. She was a true goddess, a rare and precious gem, a being of light and beauty in a world that often seemed dark and cruel.

Ludovica's life at Seru Academy was a testament to her carefree and indifferent nature. As a norm, she didn't possess any psychic abilities, making her an outcast among her peers. Despite this, she had formed a strong bond with her best friend, Paige, a bright and cheerful student with pink hair and bright blue eyes.

Paige's enthusiasm was contagious, and she often tried to rouse Ludovica from her slumber. "Best! Today's the day we take the exam for Dixia Liyin Academy!" Paige exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement. Ludovica blinked, yawned, and closed her eyes again, unphased by the prospect of the exam.

"Huh, no, I don't care for it," Ludovica replied, her voice laced with indifference. Paige chuckled and handed Ludovica a bag of food from Azcee restaurant. The aroma wafting from the bag was heavenly, and Ludovica's stomach growled in response. She touched her tummy, and a slow smile spread across her face.

"Let's eat," Ludovica said, digging into the food with gusto. As they ate, Paige chatted excitedly about the exam, but Ludovica's expression remained serene and uninterested. She was a mystery, even to her closest friend, and her indifference was a shield that protected her from the world.

Despite her apathy, Ludovica was a complex individual with a rich inner life. Her past was marked by abandonment and neglect, but she had learned to adapt and survive in a world that seemed determined to overlook her. Her relationship with Paige was a rare exception, a bond that had formed despite their vastly different personalities.

As they finished their meal, Paige glanced at Ludovica with a concerned expression.

"You're not even a little nervous about the exam?" she asked, her voice tinged with worry. Ludovica shrugged, her eyes closed once more. "I'll just sleep through it," she murmured, her voice barely audible.

Paige laughed, shaking her head.

"You're impossible, Ludovica," she said, smiling. But despite her friend's teasing, Ludovica remained unperturbed, lost in her own little world of indifference and apathy.

As Teacher Yan distributed the papers, Ludovica's eyes began to droop, her eyelids growing heavy with sleep.

She took the paper, still half-asleep, and stuffed it into her bag without even glancing at it. With a final yawn, Ludovica stood up, her movements slow and sluggish, and began to make her way out of the classroom.

She was already looking forward to taking a nap at home, and the paper was the last thing on her mind.

As she walked out of the school, the warm sunlight hit her, but it didn't seem to have any effect on her sleepiness. She trudged along, her feet carrying her on autopilot, until she reached the park where she was supposed to pick up the twins, Justin and Jennie.
