ALESSIA
We all sat in the living room—each of them on a sofa, while I sat on the upholstered ottoman with my jotter and pen.
My eyes lifted and landed on Axel. He winked.
A shiver ran through me, and I quickly looked away. I hate him… and my body has totally lost it.
I cleared my throat and turned to Azriel. The cigarette between his fingers was making me uncomfortable.
"Can you put that down… just for now?" I asked gently.
His gaze locked on mine. He didn't flinch—and neither did I.
Then a soft laugh escaped him. He nodded and placed it in the ashtray.
"Done, Doctor. Now go on," he said in a low, commanding tone.
I blinked and looked back at my jotter.
"You all didn't follow the first treatment, and you expect me to be happy about that?" I snapped.
"Doctor, Kade can't stand it when you're angry… and neither can I," Asher said, his face shifting into mock sadness.
His brothers chuckled softly, shaking their heads in amusement.
I shut my eyes in frustration, my fists tightening as I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself.
"What are your observations during the date?" I asked, forcing my tone back to professional.
Axel sighed, about to speak, but I shot him a cold stare.
He chuckled. "Of course I had observations—even with that short time," he said, defending himself as if he had read my thoughts.
"Please, Asher—what are your observations?" I asked. He seemed to be the one who spent the most time with her.
He straightened up. "She's cute… and a bit funny. But she's weak. She cries a lot, and Kade doesn't like tears," he said, his tone and expression serious.
I wanted to deal with that so-called Kade—but how? Mira was still weak and hurting. And I'm just a Beta… How could I even handle a powerful Alpha when I couldn't even deal with Liam?
I wrote down what he disliked, then turned to Azriel.
He leaned back, arms folded across his chest, his eyes locked on me. Whatever was going through his mind… It wasn't anything good. And I can't wait to leave this place.
He sighed, then sat upright, clasping his fingers together.
"She's bold… but she's from the Shadowmoon pack. I don't like getting entangled with women from that pack," he said calmly.
Something about that made my chest tighten. He didn't like women from my pack—that included me. I shouldn't care what he thought… So why did it bother me?
I swallowed hard and slowly wrote down what he hated.
Then I turned to Axel, gesturing for him to speak. Something about Azriel's words was getting under my skin. Did he hate our pack because of Liam, or was there something more?
Axel cleared his throat. "She acts sweet… but I don't like sweet ladies, Doctor. I just like you," he said shamelessly.
I nearly choked on my own breath. What the hell was wrong with him? Did he have to make me uncomfortable every single time?
I wrote down his "dislike," my hand trembling as my heart raced, memories of what had happened earlier with Axel flashing through my mind.
"If you all continue like this, I don't think you'll ever get healed," I snapped.
"I'm already healed, doctor," Axel cut in teasingly.
Damn this beast.
His brothers' eyes shifted to him. "Really?" they asked in unison, and he nodded mockingly.
"The doctor is my witness," he said, his eyes locking on mine. "Tell them, Doctor—what did you feel?"
A surge of uneasiness spread through me as my grip tightened around my pen. What was wrong with Axel? He was so shameless. Did he really expect me to admit something like that in front of them?
"Enough of your nonsense. Don't you dare think I'm one of your playthings. I'm happily married, and nothing will happen between us. I won't disrespect the mate bond," I snapped.
Their eyes locked on me, their expressions unreadable.
My brow tightened as I wondered, what were they thinking now?
Axel stood up and walked toward the wine shelf. Wait… why did this scene feel familiar? Something like this had happened before.
I watched as he handed glasses to his brothers and poured drinks for each of them.
They all sipped their whiskey, staring at me blankly. My pulse raced... Goodness, what on earth is going through their minds now?
I took a deep breath and marked the first treatment as unsuccessful.
Now for the second treatment. They were going to have a foursome—with a woman. One who wouldn't be soft, wouldn't cry easily, and, most importantly, wouldn't be from my pack.
"Your second treatment will be right here in this place tomorrow, so get ready. You'll be having a foursome," I announced.
They all froze, staring at me in total disbelief.
"Hope you're going to watch, doctor… to observe whether the treatment works," Axel said, raising a brow as if daring me to refuse.
I hadn't planned to watch, but if he wanted to make me uncomfortable, then I'd challenge him right back.
"Of course I'm going to watch… I'm your doctor, remember?"
He chuckled, slowly taking a sip.
"Make sure she isn't an omega—and not from the Shadowmoon pack," Azriel added softly, sipping his wine.
Gosh… did he not know I was from the Shadowmoon pack? His words hurt more than I expected.
"Doctor, can you blindfold her? We don't let them know who they're pleasuring," Asher added.
I chuckled, shaking my head in total disbelief. "Really? Not like you haven't been doing this all along."
Asher sighed and downed his drink in one gulp. "Doctor, we're being honest with you. We usually blindfold them. Everyone found out we're lustful because the doctors Blackwell asked to arrange the women for us couldn't keep their mouths shut. And guess what happened to them after that?" he asked.
I slowly shook my head.
"Boom on their head," Axel cut in, mimicking a gun with his fingers.
My breath hitched.
They were shot?
"Do you know why that old man is still alive?" Azriel asked, referring to my mentor, Mr. Blackwell.
I slowly shook my head.
"Because no one has ever found out we've been suffering from sexual dysfunction for fifteen years. The old man kept his mouth shut," Asher added.
I sighed as I stared at them. Everyone had something they were hiding… even the most feared Alphas.
"Little doctor, this is your warning—keep your mouth shut. Or I'll personally put a bullet in your head while you're sucking my cock," Axel stated coldly.
My skin crawled with irritation as my gaze shifted to him. "Can you stop being shameless? Gosh, you disgust me," I shot back.
He chuckled, and the others joined in.
Wait… were they actually enjoying my frustration?
I stood up abruptly. "I'm going back home."
"No, Doctor. "It's only 2 p.m.—you still have four hours," Azriel explained.
"You failed to follow my instructions. Why should I follow yours? I snapped.
He held my gaze, then chuckled, taking a slow sip from his glass.
"Fine. I know you're tired because of my touch earlier—you can go home and rest," Axel cut in shamelessly.
My heart stopped.
"Your touch?" His brothers asked quickly, confusion written all over their faces.
I shut my eyes, frustration and embarrassment crashing over me.
"Damn it…
