Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Right Choices

ALESSIA

They looked at me briefly, then returned to what they were doing.

Why did it hurt more being ignored by them? Or was Liam right… that I'm not worthy to stand beside them?

No. I refuse to just stay quiet.

I cleared my throat again. "So… based on my suggestion last night, I'd like it to be done today."

Asher stopped tapping his fingers, slowly opened his eyes, and turned to me.

"Really? Who are the she-wolves?"

This time, all their attention was on me. I walked over to one of the single sofas and sat down.

I have a group chat where I set people up on blind dates.

But I'm an anonymous admin because there are Shadowmoon pack members in the group, and I don't want them to know that their Luna has been the one setting them up on blind dates.

If Liam finds out, I'll be in deep trouble.

I took out my jotter and pen. "I have a group chat with some patients I've treated with similar issues—"

"What the fuck?" Asher snapped, cutting me off.

My heart dropped.

What's wrong? Is it because of my suggestion? Are they not okay with it?

Asher slowly got to his feet and walked toward me, his eyes fixed on my face.

Then it hit me—the cut.

I quickly tried to cover it, but he was faster.

"Who the heck did this to you?" he snapped, his cold fingers brushing over the wound.

I flinched and pushed his hand away, covering my cheek again.

By then, his brothers were already on their feet. Axel moved quickly, grabbing my wrist and pulling my hand away from my face.

His eyes burned with anger. "Who did this to you, Alessia?" His voice was low and terrifying.

Something about this felt wrong. I needed to distract them.

"I—I slipped and fell," I stammered, avoiding their eyes.

"Don't lie to us, Alessia. For the last time—who did this to you?" Azriel's voice cut in, calm but cold.

My heart raced. "I… I got into a fight, but it was a mistake. He didn't mean it. It was my fault."

Asher scoffed. "A mistake? Fine. I'll show him what a mistake is."

He slipped his hand into his pocket and pulled out a gun.

My entire body froze as Liam's words from earlier echoed in my head: Asher shot someone recently.

"I told you it was a mistake! And who are you to interfere in my marriage?" I snapped.

They all paused, their expressions shifting.

"Wait… your husband did this?" Asher asked, his voice less raspy now.

I shut my eyes in frustration. Damn it.

"Who is he?" Axel's voice dropped, each word heavy with cold determination. "I'll cut off his hands and make him eat them."

No. I can't let this madness continue. I can't betray my pack.

I had to stop this and set boundaries.

I slowly got to my feet.

"We are not close. I'm just a doctor, and my duty is to treat you for a month. After that, I'll go my separate way. So you don't have to interfere in my life."

They all stared at each other in disbelief.

Azriel slowly sat down, picked up his tea, and took a sip. The vein on his forehead and the tension in his arms made his anger obvious.

Do they actually care about me?

No… that's impossible. These men don't have feelings. They can't care about me.

Asher sat down as well, leaning forward with his elbows on his knees, his fingers clasped together. He kept staring at me, nodding slightly as if analyzing my words.

Axel was still standing in front of me, his expression unreadable, both hands resting on his waist.

"Can you sit down too?" I said, raising a brow.

He scoffed, nodded once, and took his seat.

I lowered myself as well and continued, "I've paired each of you with different types of ladies. Azriel, this is her number. Call her, and she'll meet you at your location."

He said nothing, simply taking out his phone as I read out the number.

I turned to Axel. "I've already paired you with someone else. You can call her."

"Doctor, I told you—I like foursomes, not one-on-one," he cut in immediately.

I slammed my hand against my lap in frustration. "But you're still sick after trying that, right? That's exactly why you need to follow my instructions."

He scoffed and nodded. "Fine. Anything you want."

"Now bring out your phone and take the number," I instructed. He did so without complaint.

I repeated the same with Asher, who obeyed immediately, also without protest.

Gosh, I liked it when they actually cooperated with their treatment.

"Now you can all go on with your dates. Engage in normal conversation, and then—gradually—if anyone agrees, you can try… well, sex. I believe it will help you feel better," I said.

They hesitated, staring at each other blankly, as a thick silence followed.

Wait… do they communicate with their eyes too? I stared at them, trying to read their expressions, but it was impossible.

Asher sighed and got up. "Alright, brothers. Let's get this done."

They all did as well, adjusting their clothes. Azriel was dressed in all black, from his suit jacket down to his polished shoes.

He looks amazing.

Axel wore black suit trousers and a black long-sleeve shirt tucked neatly inside. Not bad either.

But Asher was in black sweatpants and a black polo.

No, he can't leave like that.

He's charming, sure, but he needed to look better.

"You need to change, Asher. You're not leaving like that," I stated.

"Really, Doctor? You care about what I wear? Wow, Kade is so happy. Alright, I'll change," he said, excited like a high school boy trying to impress his first crush.

His brothers chuckled, clearly enjoying his character.

I groaned and hit my forehead in frustration. Now I'm more curious about this Kade who wouldn't just take a rest.

After a few minutes, they were gone. Asher had chosen a black suit instead, just like Azriel. I wondered why they liked black so much, but no matter what, they still looked good.

I scrolled through the pictures of the women I'd picked for them. Each one matched their personalities:

Azriel, who is quiet, got a lively, engaging woman.

Axel, cold and distant, got a calm and sweet girl.

Asher, playful and jovial, got someone who could joke and match his energy.

I just believed I'd chosen the right alternatives.

I sighed and made my way towards the bed, collapsing on it. My eyelids are still heavy; let me just take a nap as I wait for their progress.
