Following the Emperor’s orders, we quickly packed our bags and headed back to the capital.
Our return took place much sooner than we had planned.
Before we took off to the capital, we had a short, heated discussion about what to do with Hirkan.
It was an argument over whether we should bring Hirkan with us or not.
“We need to take him with us.”
I urged him that we must bring Hirkan with us to the capital.
“Besides, he’s not even fully recovered yet. If we send him back like this, he’s going to have another mental breakdown in no time.”
The Niaakalite ambassador agreed to our terms under the premise that we would fix Hirkan up.
I had to purify him sufficiently to prevent any objections on their end.
On top of that, there was still so much information for us to reap from him.
