Chapter 14: Whispers and Temptations

Maya's intervention felt like a breath of fresh air. She leaned forward slightly and picked up an artisanal cookie covered with a generous layer of white cream. With a slowness that seemed almost deliberate, she took a bite. Her full, heart-shaped lips sank into the crispy dough, and a small drop of cream got caught at the corner of her mouth. She slowly ran her tongue over it to clean it off.

"You've spent too much time away from this town, Ethan," she said in that warm, velvety voice. "Tomorrow I'll take you out for a walk so you can get familiar with everything again."

"Sounds perfect, Maya," I replied, trying to sound casual.

However, my answer ignited a new fire at the table.

"I can take him too," Lila intervened immediately, her tone possessive. "I know all the best new places that have opened lately."

Ava, who was still sitting on my lap, grew restless right away. She started shifting on my legs, rocking her weight from side to side. Her large, soft, heavy ass cheeks rubbed directly against my crotch with every movement. The heat radiating from her was suffocating.

'Stop, Ava… please stop,' I begged in my mind, clenching my fists under the table. My body was starting to react traitorously, and I had to make a huge effort not to let out a groan.

Maya looked at Lila calmly.

"Don't you remember you have that matter pending early tomorrow, Lila?"

Lila seemed to remember suddenly and her shoulders slumped. She let out a frustrated murmur, clearly disappointed. Ava, on the other hand, recovered her good mood instantly.

"Then I'll go!" she exclaimed excitedly, moving with even more energy on my lap. Each movement made her ass press and rub against me in a dangerous way. "I can skip a couple of things and spend the whole day with Ethan!"

"Ava," Maya's voice turned strict and firm, "you have classes tomorrow. And you're not skipping them."

Ava puffed out her cheeks in an exaggerated pout and crossed her arms, sinking deeper against me with clear annoyance.

At that moment, Mom's footsteps approached. She brought a large dish of beef stew in its juice, accompanied by white rice and steamed vegetables. The aroma was intoxicating and took me straight back to my childhood.

"Everything's on the table now. Let's eat before it gets cold," she said with her natural sweetness as she sat down next to Maya.

Her mere presence completely dispelled the competitive tension and filled the atmosphere with familiar harmony.

"I really missed your cooking, Mom," I confessed after the first bite. "Nothing in the city even comes close."

She looked at me with shining eyes, full of nostalgia and affection. She reached across the table and took my hand, squeezing it warmly.

"Now we're together again, my darling. We're all so happy you're here, where you belong."

Even Sophia let out a small smile that she quickly tried to hide. I felt the warmth of Mom's hand before we let go. The rest of dinner passed with laughter, anecdotes, and light conversation. However, I couldn't help but notice how Mom and Maya frequently leaned toward each other, whispering things into each other's ears followed by complicit giggles. They looked so close… It made me glad to know Mom had had Maya by her side all these years.

Hours later, the exhaustion of the day finally hit me. It had been an incredibly hectic day: the long trip, the reunion with Lila, Mom's overwhelming hug, Sophia and Ava's arrival, all the emotions and constant physical contact. I rubbed my stomach, feeling completely full, and went to grab my phone.

To my surprise, even in this remote town there was good signal. I checked my messages with my stomach tight, fearing I'd find something from my father, but I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw there were no notifications from him. I left the phone on the nightstand and lay down on Ava's bed.

I was alone in her room. She had gone to take a shower a while ago, and I was waiting for her because I wanted to talk with her a bit before sleeping. I stared at the ceiling, still incredulous that all of this was real. After eleven years of coldness and isolation, being surrounded by the sweet, feminine scent of this room felt like a dream.

A strange mix of emotions washed over me: joy, nostalgia, guilt, and that constant tension that wouldn't leave me.

Then I heard the sound of the bathroom door opening.

I sat up in bed and turned my head.

Ava was standing in the doorway, her silver hair wet and her body covered only by a white towel tied precariously.

I was completely stunned.
