Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Rivalries at the Table

Chapter 13: Rivalries at the Table

After watching Ava put away her lace and cotton panties in that drawer, a strange mix of nervousness and responsibility washed over me. To dispel the tension hanging in the air, I crouched down beside her and started helping her organize the rest of the clothes. The constant brushing of our hands as we folded t-shirts and shorts, along with the sweet floral scent coming from her skin, made every second in that room feel charged with something forbidden.

When we finished and I closed the last drawer, I stood there for a moment. Suddenly, a soft warmth enveloped my back. Ava had wrapped her arms around me from behind, burying her face between my shoulder blades and rubbing her cheek against me as if she wanted to mark me.

"I'm so happy you're back, Ethan… I really am," she whispered, and I felt the pressure of her breasts — now much larger and firmer than I remembered — squashing against my spine.

A shiver ran through my entire body. I turned slowly within her embrace and, to break the intensity of the moment, I took her soft cheeks in both hands and squeezed them affectionately, making her lips purse into an adorable pout.

"Hey! I'm not a little girl!" she protested. Her voice came out muffled and funny from the pressure of my fingers. "Let go!"

"Whatever you say, 'little' Ava," I replied teasingly, giving her one last squeeze before releasing her.

She shot me a look of fake anger, her cheeks still flushed, but before she could reply, Mom's voice cut through the walls from downstairs:

"Dinner's ready, kids! Come down right now!"

Ava didn't waste a second. She grabbed my hand tightly, intertwining her fingers with mine as if she feared I would disappear. I let her drag me down the hallway, feeling how she squeezed my palm with that mix of urgency and affection that only she had.

As we walked, a deep warmth filled my chest. I remembered the nights after the separation, when I would lie awake wondering if she had suffered because of my absence, if the void I left had changed her. I had feared finding a stranger when I returned… but here she was, clinging to me exactly like before. My worries had been unnecessary. We were still as close as ever… or maybe, in a much more complicated way now that we had both grown up.

We entered the dining room and the aroma of home-cooked food — spices, roasted meat, and that sweet touch that Mom's kitchen always had — filled everything. Sophia and Lila were already seated at the table. In the back, Mom and Maya were finishing setting the plates. Mom saw me and gave me a radiant smile.

"Take your seats, kids. Everything's hot."

"Ethan, sit here, between Sophia and me," Lila ordered immediately, pointing to the empty chair with a smile that left no room for argument. Her violet eyes sparkled with that playful possessiveness I knew so well.

Ava let go of my hand with obvious annoyance. I felt a small pang of loss when the contact broke, but before I could sit down, Ava dropped straight onto my lap the moment I took the chair.

My eyes widened.

"I'll stay right here," she declared with a sweetly defiant smile, settling in with no intention of moving.

The impact was brutal.

Her large, soft, round ass cheeks pressed against my crotch with all their weight. Her pleated skirt rode up slightly and I felt the hot, firm, plush flesh rubbing right there. Every little movement she made to "get comfortable" caused a slow, dangerous friction that sent an electric pleasure up my spine. I had to bite the inside of my cheek to keep from letting out a groan. God… it wasn't just her breasts that had developed explosively; her ass was also heavy, voluptuous, and perfectly shaped. The heat from her body passed through the fabric of our pants, and every time she moved, her cheeks rubbed against my member in a way that was starting to awaken a reaction I couldn't afford.

"Are you okay, Ethan? You seem tense," she asked with an almost criminal innocence, turning her head to look at me with her big blue eyes.

"Yeah… I'm fine," I managed to reply, my voice rougher than normal. "It's just… the trip was long."

Sophia let out an annoyed snort from her seat.

"Looks like nothing has changed. You two are still just as inseparable and clingy. It's ridiculous."

Lila leaned forward, making her breasts press against her t-shirt, and smiled mischievously.

"Ava is forcing him, obviously. Ethan knows I've always been his favorite sister, right?"

Ava tensed up on my lap instantly. All her sweetness vanished.

"That's not true! I'm the favorite! I always have been!"

"Oh, really?" Lila arched an eyebrow, clearly enjoying the chaos. "Don't you remember all the times Ethan would sneak into my room because he said he slept better with me? Sometimes he even slept there…"

I felt like dying of embarrassment. Ava turned toward me and the innocent expression from a moment ago transformed into something much more serious and icy.

"Ethan…" Lila said, directing all her attention toward me with a dangerous smile. "Why don't you tell her yourself? Who is your favorite sister?"

The silence that fell over the table was deafening. Ava stared at me fixedly. Sophia, for the first time, dropped her disinterested air and watched me with malicious curiosity. My mouth went completely dry and my heart pounded against my ribs. Any answer was going to get me into trouble I wouldn't survive.

Just when sweat was starting to form on the back of my neck, Maya's warm and authoritative voice broke the atmosphere like a miracle.

"What are you all talking about now? Are you fighting again?" she asked, approaching the table with a steaming dish of food.

Lila instantly recovered her angelic smile.

"It's nothing, Maya. We were just reminiscing about old times."

Ava also muttered a quick "no," though she shot Lila one last furious glare before settling back onto my lap, still tense.

Maya placed the dish in the center of the table and sat down right across from me. Her honey-colored eyes scanned me for a second and, with deliberate slowness, she winked at me while a playful smile curved her heart-shaped lips. She knew exactly what kind of tight spot I was in and was clearly enjoying it.

'Thank you… seriously, thank you,' I thought, silently praising that beautiful woman while trying to catch my breath.

Dinner had barely begun, and I already felt like my self-control was hanging by a very thin thread.
