Chapter 1 - the begin

Before Yiri was ever born, a sun was born first—old, bright, and sacred, hanging over the world like a golden eye that never blinked. Its light reached across mountains, rivers, forests, and forgotten ruins, giving shape to everything that lived beneath it. Then came the age of humans, fragile and hopeful, building homes from stone and wood, speaking names into the wind, and learning how to survive in a world that was never truly silent

But humans were not alone. Spirits moved through the unseen places of the earth, drifting between trees, moonlit lakes, and ancient graves. Some spirits were gentle, carrying blessings in quiet breezes and soft whispers. Others were restless, bound to sorrow, memory, or unfinished fate. They watched the world change and remembered things that people had already forgotten.

And where humans feared the unknown, witches understood it. Witches walked between the worlds of flesh and spirit, gathering herbs, reading the stars, and listening to the language of fire, ash, and shadow. Some were healers, some were guardians, and some were feared because their power came from knowledge too deep for ordinary people to bear. They were neither fully cursed nor fully blessed. They were children of mystery, carrying the weight of old magic in their hands.

Then Yiri came into that world, born beneath the same sun that had once risen at the beginning of time. By then, the land was older, the spirits were louder, and the witches had already written their warnings into the bones of the earth. Yiri's life would not be simple, because a world with humans, spirits, and witches is never simple. It is a world of hidden rules, ancient bargains, whispered prophecies, and choices that can change the shape of destiny itself.
