The moment Tony stepped out of the aircraft, a massive green hill appered before him.
The estate stretched across hundreds of acres, blending modern luxury with ancient martial prestige.
The main home was very ancient, built with rock. The chinese traditional building was captivating. Unlike Clark family which is a modern facility with all luxuries, this Frost family is more traditional and antique.
This was not just a family residence… it was a domain.
What caught Tony's attention, however, was not the grandeur.
It was the welcome!
Servants lined both sides of the path in perfect formation, bowing as petals were scattered into the air, creating a ceremonial path leading straight to the main hall.
Tony was taken aback. This was excessive… Far too excessive. Even for a marriage alliance, this level of reception felt unnatural.
As his gaze shifted forward, his suspicion deepened.
Not only the Frost family patriarch come out personally, but nearly all the core elders and senior figures stood present as well.
Each of them wore pristine white martial robes. These were not ordinary figures. These were individuals who could influence entire regions, and yet here they were… standing in reception.
Even Rion Clark paused for a fraction of a second before continuing forward.
Tony felt it clearly now.
'Something was very wrong.'
Before he could think further, he felt a subtle pressure on his shoulder. His father's hand.
Unkwingly, Tony's body bowed slightly. "I greet the Patriarch." Tony muttered as he came out of thoughts.
Andrew Frost stepped forward immediately with a wide smile. "No need for such formalities," he said warmly. "You may directly call me father-in-law."
For a brief moment, Tony genuinely didn't know how to respond. The words felt unreal, almost absurd. He straightened slowly, masking his reaction behind a polite expression, but inside, his thoughts churned rapidly.
'Why were they this eager? Did they not know his reputation? Or did they simply not care?'
He greeted the surrounding elders one by one, bowing respectfully, but as he did, he observed them carefully. Their gazes were not mocking, nor were they dismissive. If anything, they were… expectant. That subtle detail unsettled him more than anything else.
The procession continued into the grand hall, where both families took their seats.
Tony sat alone at the center… with a conspicuously empty seat left next to him. It didn't take much intelligence to understand who that seat was reserved for.
Wine was served, and the atmosphere shifted into one of controlled formality.
Andrew Frost leaned back slightly, studying Tony before speaking again with a laugh. "I truly didn't expect my son-in-law to be this handsome. You've exceeded my expectations."
Tony nearly chocked on his wine. He recovered quickly, offering a faint smile. "You're too generous..."
Rion Clark let out a restrained chuckle. Clearly, even his father was uncomfortable with how far this was going.
Just then, a figure entered the hall.
A young woman, dressed in an elegant white gown. For a brief moment, Tony's attention shifted toward her, curiosity flickering in his eyes.
Andrew noticed immediately and laughed. "Not so fast, son-in-law. That is my second daughter, Julie. You will have to wait a little longer before meeting your future wife."
Tony nodded politely, though something in Andrew's tone made him even more alert.
Julie approached and took her seat, offering a gentle smile in Tony's direction. "Welcome to the Frost family," she said softly.
"Thank you," Tony replied.
On the surface, the exchange was polite. But beneath it… he can see the look on her face.
Julie's thoughts burned with cold contempt. She observed him carefully, masking her disdain perfectly.
'So this is the man who dares to marry my sister? A third-rate villain with no real strength… and he walks into our family like this? I'll make sure you regret stepping here.' she thought with clenched fists.
Tony, meanwhile, continued observing everyone present. The longer he sat there, the more he noticed subtle details.
Small glances exchanged between elders. Brief whispers quickly suppressed. Controlled expressions that slipped for just a fraction of a second. They wanted this marriage. That much was obvious.
'But why?!'
That question echoed repeatedly in his mind. No powerful family would willingly marry their prized genius into a weaker counterpart without reason. There had to be something beneath the surface.
His gaze shifted and landed on one particular elder seated slightly to the side. Unlike the others, this man didn't bother hiding his expression. There was clear dissatisfaction, even frustration, etched across his face.
Tony's eyes lingered on him.
Andrew Frost noticed immediately. "Ah, that is my fifth brother. He handles most of our family's business matters."
The fifth elder gave a simple nod but said nothing. Instead, he picked up his glass and drained it in one motion, his silence far more telling than any words.
Tony's lips curved slightly.
So not everyone agrees with this.
That was useful.
Just as the conversation began to settle…
A quiet silence spread through the hall as the matriarch entered. In her hand was a delicately crafted fan, radiating an aura of wealth and power. A single glance was enough to understand its value.
But no one paid attention to the fan for long.
Because someone followed behind her.
Tony's eyes moved instinctively.
And then… He froze.
For a fraction of a second, his mind went completely blank. Every rumor he had heard, every exaggerated description… none of them came close to reality.
Lily Frost stepped forward with calm, measured steps. Her skin flawless like polished jade, her features sharp yet elegant, her long hair cascading down her back like flowing silk. She didn't just look beautiful.
She looked unreal.
'A being that didn't belong in the same world.' Tony found himself staring.
Then… Her eyes met his.
In that instant, the illusion shattered. What looked like elegance from afar… Was something else entirely up close.
Cold… Sharp… Unforgiving.
It felt as though a predator had locked onto him, her gaze dissecting him in a single glance.
Tony's breath slowed slightly.
"Interesting…" he thought.
At that exact moment, a familiar interface flickered before his eyes.
