Chapter 6 - IT’S SHOWTIME

CHAPTER 6

Of course, it was me.

Michael.

The one who was about to show everyone what it really meant to fight, even if I was currently trapped inside the body of a weak boy. It did not matter how fragile this body looked, nor did it matter how everyone saw me. Deep inside, I was still the same being, the same existence that stood far above them.

A divine one.

And facing two children like them was nothing more than entertainment.

The arena was already filled with noise, students talking loudly, placing their bets, and waiting for the final round to begin. The air itself felt alive with excitement, but to me, it was all just background noise. None of them understood what they were about to witness.

The facilitator stepped forward once again, raising his voice.

"Now, for the final round…"

The entire colosseum fell silent.

"Team Lara versus Team Claire."

Claire and Logan walked forward first, stepping into the center of the arena. Logan had a wide grin on his face, his eyes locked onto me with pure excitement, like a predator ready to tear apart its prey.

"This creature will die in my hands today," he muttered with confidence.

I simply stared at him.

Not with anger.

Not with fear.

But with something far worse.

Disappointment.

Then it was our turn.

Lara and I walked toward the arena, our steps calm and steady. The moment we entered, I shifted my gaze toward Logan again, and this time, a faint smile appeared on my face.

"Let's see how this goes, Logan."

The facilitator raised his hand.

"Begin!"

The crowd erupted.

Students watched closely, some whispering, some shouting, all of them excited to see the clash between what they called the two princesses of the academy.

"Who?"

"Oh, you mean Lara and Claire?"

"Not bad…"

Their voices blended together, but I ignored all of it.

Right now, my focus was on one thing.

Logan suddenly moved.

Without hesitation, he launched himself into the air, his speed surprising the audience. His body twisted mid-air as he raised his wooden sword, aiming directly for my head.

At that exact moment, I activated it.

Omniscient.

The world slowed.

Every movement became clear.

Every possible outcome unfolded in my mind.

I could already see where his strike would land.

So I moved.

Just a small step backward.

Barely a meter.

Logan's sword came crashing down with force, missing me completely, but the impact was strong enough to crack the ground, leaving a small crater beneath him.

Gasps filled the arena.

"Ohoh," I said casually. "You're strong."

Logan smirked, thinking he had the upper hand.

"But let me show you just a little bit of power."

I disappeared.

"Divine Dash."

Logan's eyes widened.

"What… where did he go?"

He turned around frantically. "Where? Where are you?!"

I appeared behind him.

"Right here."

Without hesitation, Logan swung his sword backward with full force.

But he hit nothing.

"Dude, are you okay? Who are you even swinging at?" someone from the crowd shouted.

Logan froze.

Then slowly turned his head.

"What… you're in front?"

I stood there, exactly where he first attacked, completely untouched.

"You must be delusional," he said, trying to steady himself.

But Claire, watching from the side, narrowed her eyes.

"No… that's not it," she thought. "He moved… but how…?"

Her expression changed.

"This man… he's stronger than Lara."

I tilted my head slightly.

"Ohoh, Logan," I said with a faint smile. "You're tougher than I expected."

Peter's voice suddenly echoed from the crowd.

"Hey, Drax, is someone messing with you? I know you, and this isn't you!"

I chuckled softly.

"Bingo," I said. "You're right."

The air grew heavier.

"But now… you have to figure out who I really am."

Logan gritted his teeth. "I don't care who you are!"

I raised my hand slightly.

"I'll finish this in one swing."

The entire arena went silent.

"One swing?" the students whispered.

"No way…"

"That's impossible…"

But I did not care what they thought.

Because to me, it was not impossible.

It was simply the truth.

"Divine Dash."

In an instant, I vanished again.

Claire immediately reacted.

"Logan, strike the center!" she shouted.

But I already saw it.

Omniscient.

Every move.

Every reaction.

Every mistake.

"You're wrong," I said softly.

I stepped back.

Just enough.

Logan rushed forward with everything he had, putting all his strength into a final attack.

"I'll win!"

But the moment he stepped into my range—

I moved.

A single motion.

Clean.

Precise.

My strike landed before he even realized it.

Logan's eyes widened.

Then his body collapsed.

Silence.

Complete silence filled the colosseum.

"Logan is… down…" someone whispered.

"Match over," the facilitator announced.

"Team Lara wins."

The crowd exploded into noise.

Some were shocked.

Some were confused.

Some could not even understand what they just saw.

Meanwhile, Lara stood there, watching me closely.

"…Interesting," she said quietly.

She then walked toward Claire.

"Find out who he is," Lara said.

Her voice was calm, but her eyes were filled with something deeper.

"He is mine."

Claire frowned. "Are you serious? What about your agreement with Duke Osra? Asmod is your fiancé."

Lara rolled her eyes slightly.

"I have no interest in Asmod. Yes, he is good-looking, but I don't like his attitude. He is too greedy."

Claire crossed her arms. "Fine. I'll find out who this man really is."

Lara smiled.

"Thank you."

Then she leaned closer.

"Mwah."

Claire immediately stepped back. "That's disgusting."

I watched them for a moment before turning away.

Then suddenly—

"Hey!"

I shouted.

Claire stopped.

"Who said you're leaving?" I said, my voice calm but firm.

She looked back at me, slightly surprised.

"You haven't fought me yet."

The atmosphere shifted again.

"I won't leave this arena without fighting you."

For a moment—

Claire looked nervous.

Then—

I smirked.

"Just kidding."

She froze.

The crowd went silent again.

Then some students started laughing nervously.

I turned away, stretching slightly.

"Hey, Sir Salazar," I said lazily. "I'm going home. I'm tired as hell."

Without waiting for a response, I started walking out of the arena.

As if nothing happened.

As if I did not just defeat one of the strongest students with ease.

As if this entire event meant nothing.

The crowd watched me leave, confused and unsettled.

Because deep inside, they all felt it.

Something was wrong.

Something was different.

And whatever I was…

I was not just a normal student.

Not even close.

And this…

Was only the beginning.
