Chapter 5 - Hunt

Morning light filtered softly through the curtains.

Yukie stepped out of the bathroom, her sorceress's slit dress flowing elegantly around her. A confident smile rested on her lips.

"We're ready to leave, Lucian."

Lucian nodded, tightening his grip on the sword at his side. His eyes flickered toward the clock.

"8:00 AM… a perfect time to begin our first day in this world."

With a steady breath, he pushed the door open.

The two walked down the corridor side by side, their footsteps echoing faintly through the quiet hall. There was a new confidence in their posture like they were no longer just lost strangers, but players stepping into a game they had to survive.

"First, we join the Adventurers' Guild," Lucian said thoughtfully. "We take quests, hunt monsters, earn money… and build strength."

Yukie followed, her gaze drifting across the surroundings people in armor, cloaked figures, even beings that didn't look entirely human.

"So… we'll have to kill monsters," she said softly, almost testing the words.

Lucian suddenly grabbed her hand and pulled her forward.

"Not all monsters are meant to be killed."

His tone was sharp more serious than before.

Yukie puffed her cheeks slightly as she was dragged along.

"I'm not stupid, Sweetie," she muttered. "Of course I understand the difference between good and bad monsters."

After what felt like hours of searching through unfamiliar streets, they finally stopped.

Before them stood a massive building, towering over everything nearby.

"That's… huge," Yukie whispered, her eyes widening as she tried to take in its full size.

Beside her, Lucian bent slightly, hands on his knees as he caught his breath.

"I'm exhausted… How are you still this energetic just from seeing a building, Stepmom?"

Without answering, Yukie grabbed his hand again and dragged him inside.

"You're the one who wanted to come here. Now stop acting like a turtle and move."

Inside, the guild hall buzzed with life.

Adventurers filled the space some carrying swords, others holding staffs or thick spellbooks. Laughter, arguments, and the clinking of metal created a chaotic harmony.

Yukie looked around in awe.

"This really is a fantasy world…"

Lucian nodded and approached the reception counter.

"Hello. My name is Lucian Kurosawa, and this is my..."

Before he could finish, Yukie nudged him aside and stepped forward with a calm, confident smile.

"I'm Yukie Kurosawa, his partner. We'd like to register as adventurers."

The receptionist nodded politely.

"Please wait a moment while I complete your registration. In the meantime, you may browse available quests on the mission board."

As she walked away, Lucian shot Yukie a flat look.

"Why did you say 'partner'? You're my stepmom."

Yukie rolled her eyes.

"I'm only 25, and I've been taking care of you since you were ten. I'm not letting strangers label me as 'stepmother.'"

She glanced back at him.

"And more importantly, we shouldn't reveal personal details in a world we don't understand."

Lucian sighed but followed her to the mission board.

Rows of parchment covered the wall quests ranging from simple errands to dangerous hunts.

"We should take an orc subjugation quest," Lucian said after scanning the board. "Two silver coins. Enough to cover the hotel."

Yukie nodded, her gaze drifting elsewhere.

"…Then let's not waste time," she said but her eyes were fixed on something behind the counter.

Lucian frowned.

"What are you looking at?"

He followed her gaze a beautifully crafted wand.

Yukie closed her eyes.

For a brief moment, the air around her shimmered.

When she opened them.

A wand rested in her hand.

Its blue crystal glowed faintly, pulsing with mana.

Lucian's eyes widened.

"…You created that?"

Yukie smiled softly, hugging the wand as if it were a treasure.

"Isn't it beautiful?"

Lucian turned away with a small sigh.

"You shouldn't waste mana on things like that."

Just then, the receptionist returned.

"Your registration is complete. Please select quests appropriate to your rank and review them carefully."

Lucian nodded and turned toward the exit.

"We're taking the orc mission," he said firmly. "No hesitation."

He glanced back at Yukie, his expression sharp with determination.

"We've gained power… and we're not losing here."

Yukie smiled, gripping her wand as its crystal glowed brighter.

And together.

They stepped out of the guild, ready to begin their first hunt in a world that would either make them legends…or break them completely.

After a while, Lucian and Yukie ventured deeper into a small, misty forest. Ancient trees towered overhead, their thick canopies blocking most of the sunlight and casting the ground in deep shadows.

"This place looks a bit dangerous…" Yukie said softly, staying close behind him. Her hand gripped his shoulder tightly, her curvaceous body pressing against his back for comfort.

Lucian gave her a flat stare as he pushed through the tall grass. "It's not that dangerous. Orcs usually live in groups and prefer dark caves. They won't jump out randomly."

They soon arrived at a large den hidden at the base of a massive, gnarled tree. The entrance was dark and reeked of damp earth and blood.

Yukie extended her hand, summoning her wand from her infinite vault with a soft pink glow. "I'm ready for a fight, Luci," she whispered, determination in her eyes.

Lucian nodded, stepping carefully into the cave. "Stay alert."

Yukie followed, handing him his sword. "Here. Stay ready to strike."

Their footsteps echoed through the dark tunnel. Inside, three orcs lay sleeping on the filthy ground, snoring loudly.

"They're sleeping," Yukie whispered with a determined look. "We can finish them off easily—"

Suddenly, two more orcs emerged from the shadows behind them, holding spiked wooden clubs.

"We got some fresh humans for dinner," one orc growled, licking his lips hungrily.

The other grinned wickedly. "And that elf will make a nice dessert."

Yukie raised her wand, eyes sharp. "I'm ready when you are, Luci."

Lucian dashed forward in a blur. "Don't forget about me!" He struck one orc's head with a powerful slash, drawing blood.

Yukie smiled confidently and chanted:

"From the void where light is forgotten… Where silence devours existence… Open the gate of endless night… Abyssal Hall!"

A massive black sphere appeared behind the second orc, pulling him in with terrifying force. The orc screamed in terror as he was sucked into the void and vanished completely.

Yukie brushed her hair back with a proud smile. "That's a 6-star spell. Pretty strong, right?"

The remaining three orcs woke up, roaring in anger.

Lucian moved like lightning, slipping between one orc's legs and slashing upward, cutting the creature cleanly in half. "His skin was tougher than the last one," he muttered, breathing heavily.

Yukie sat confidently on a large boulder, crossing her long, thick milky thighs. Her slit dress rode up dangerously high, revealing smooth skin as she watched the fight. "It was pretty easy for me. I've learned so many magical techniques already."

Lucian gave her a flat stare. "Don't get overconfident."

He looked deeper into the cave. "They mentioned an elf earlier. There might be someone else here."

Yukie jumped down from the boulder and followed him.

They stopped in front of a crude iron cage tucked into the back of the den. Thick, rusted bars blocked the way.

"What is this…?" Lucian muttered, gripping the iron rods and trying to bend them with his strength. They didn't budge.

Yukie smiled confidently and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Let me handle it, Lucian."

She stepped forward, placed both hands on the bars, and closed her eyes. A soft pink glow surrounded her palms as she concentrated her mana. The iron began to heat up rapidly, glowing orange before melting like butter under her touch. The bars dripped down in molten streams, creating a wide opening.

Lucian's eyes widened in shock. "How did you do that?!"

Yukie smiled proudly as she stepped inside the cage. "It's one of the spells I learned from that book. It increases the density of my mana, but it consumes a lot."

Lucian followed her in. Inside the cage sat a beautiful elf girl with long silver hair and pointed ears. She wore a torn white dress that clung tightly to her curvaceous figure. The thin fabric stretched across her huge breasts, creating a deep, alluring cleavage that rose and fell with her nervous breathing.

"Please… help me…" Yuri whispered, her voice trembling as she looked up at them with tear-filled eyes.

Lucian offered a gentle smile. "Don't worry. We're here to help you."

Yukie extended her hand with a soft, reassuring smile. "What's your name?"

The elf girl took Yukie's hand and slowly stood up, her dress shifting and accentuating her full figure. "My name is Yuri… I am the princess of a nearby elf village. The orcs attacked us, killed everyone, and dragged me here…"

Yukie crossed her arms under her own massive chest, pushing them up noticeably. "Forget about the past for now. First, let's get you somewhere safe."

Lucian scratched the back of his head nervously. "You should come with us."

Yuri looked at both of them, tears of gratitude welling in her eyes. "Thank you… I don't know how to repay you."

Lucian gave her a warm smile. "You don't have to. Let's get out of this cave first."

Yuri looked at both of them with grateful, teary eyes, her beautiful face filled with hope.

After a long and exhausting day, Lucian and Yukie finally returned to their room at the Wandering Dragon Inn, with Yuri following quietly behind them. The soft glow of lanterns illuminated the cozy wooden space as they stepped inside.

"It was quite an amazing mission," Lucian said with a confident smile, before dramatically collapsing backward onto the bed with a heavy thump. "I feel like I could sleep for a week."

Yukie gave him a long, deadpan stare, then turned to Yuri with a soft, motherly smile. "Yuri, you should take a bath first. I'll order something nice for you to eat."

Yuri bowed respectfully, her torn white dress still clinging to her curvaceous figure. "Thank you so much…" she whispered before disappearing into the bathroom.

Yukie sighed and collapsed onto the bed beside Lucian, her huge breasts bouncing noticeably as she landed. She stared at the ceiling for a moment before speaking.

"Now we have two silver coins. If we keep this speed up, we can earn twelve to sixteen coins by next Monday," she said, sounding both tired and slightly proud.

Lucian nodded, still lying flat on his back. "That's not bad for our first real day—"

Suddenly, a translucent blue screen materialized in front of his eyes, glowing softly.

"What's this…?" Lucian asked, eyes widening in shock as he sat up quickly.

Yukie's eyes also widened as an identical screen appeared in front of her. "Mine too…?"

Both of them stared at the floating, semi-transparent window hovering in the air.

She turned to him with a mischievous grin. "Looks like we're officially main characters, Sweety."

Lucian stared at the glowing screen, a mix of excitement and nervousness crossing his face. "This changes everything…"

From the bathroom came the soft sound of running water as Yuri began her bath, completely unaware of the new development happening just outside.

The fantasy world had just revealed another layer — and their adventure was only getting started.
