Chapter 4 - Battle

Evening light filtered through the small window of their room, casting long golden beams across the wooden floor. Lucian sat on the edge of the bed, eyes wide with disbelief as he watched the flickering fireball dance steadily in Yukie's palm.

"That's the seventh time… and it's getting better every try," he said, voice cracking with shock. "I don't know how, but you're learning skills like it's nothing."

Yukie smiled proudly, the warm glow of the flames reflecting in her eyes. "That's right. Instant learning is one of the perks that came with my infinite material creation skill."

Lucian rubbed his chin, deep in thought. "Your abilities are insane. Meanwhile, mine are just infinite mana, absolute regeneration, appraisal, ability mimicry, and absorption…"

Yukie's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Wait — that means you can mimic my skill, right?"

Lucian's eyes widened slightly. A small, confident smile crept onto his face. "I… hadn't thought of that."

Yukie rolled her eyes playfully and patted his shoulder. "Don't overthink it, Sweety. Just try it. Show me what you can do."

Lucian nodded, stood up, and extended his hand forward. He closed his eyes, focusing on the memory of Yukie's chant. When he opened them again, his voice rang out clear and steady:

"Flame of the ancient core, gather and obey. Condense into fury, burn all in my way… Ignis Sphere!"

A bright orange fireball roared to life above his palm, crackling with power.

Yukie's eyes widened in delight. "That's a real fireball! You did it!"

Lucian grinned energetically. "My abilities are actually pretty great!" With a casual flick of his wrist, he dispelled the flames effortlessly.

A loud knock suddenly echoed through the room.

"Who could that be at this hour?" Yukie muttered, puzzled, as she walked toward the door.

Lucian's expression sharpened. "Something feels… off."

Yukie paused and glanced back at him. "What do you mean?"

The door burst open with a violent BANG!

A massive orc man stormed in, gripping a huge, shining war hammer that glowed with dark energy. His muscular green body filled the doorway, eyes burning with greed.

"Where is the book?" the orc growled, voice low and menacing.

Yukie stepped back, heart racing. "What is happening with us…?"

Lucian grabbed his sword and stepped protectively in front of her, stance firm and confident. "We're not giving you the book. It's useful to us."

The orc sneered and advanced. "You really think a kid can keep something that belongs to me?"

He swung the hammer in a brutal overhead arc. Lucian raised his sword just in time, blocking the strike with a deafening CLANG! Sparks flew as the two weapons clashed.

The orc smiled dangerously and pushed harder, forcing Lucian down. "You don't have any chance against me, kid."

Yukie's eyes narrowed. She thrust her hand forward and chanted rapidly:

"Flame of the ancient core, gather and obey. Condense into fury, burn all in my way… Ignis Sphere!"

A large fireball shot toward the orc's head. He slammed his free hand onto the bed to disperse the flames, but the heat still singed his arm.

"A fireball? You two are more troublesome than I thought," the orc snarled.

Yukie glanced at Lucian. "Any plan?"

Lucian gripped his sword tighter, eyes locked on the enemy. "We attack from both sides. You burn him — his skin is tough, but fire works. I'll strike while he's distracted. We have to finish this fast before hotel staff arrive."

He charged forward with a shout, sword raised high. The orc swung his hammer again, but Lucian ducked under it and slashed upward. The orc countered by grabbing Lucian's sword arm and crushing it with raw strength before hurling him hard into the wall.

"Lucian!" Yukie cried out in panic.

Lucian slid down, blood dripping from his shattered arm. "It… hurts…"

The orc loomed over him with a cruel grin. "You've already lost half your body, kid. You really think you can stop me from taking that book?"

He raised the hammer to crush the floor — and Lucian — in one blow.

Yukie's expression turned deadly serious. She extended both hands and poured every ounce of mana into the spell:

"Flame of the ancient core, gather and obey. Condense into fury, burn all in my way… Ignis Sphere!"

A massive, roaring fireball erupted from her palms and slammed straight into the orc's chest. Half his body ignited in searing flames as he roared in agony.

"You're going to die too, bitch!" the orc bellowed, charging at Yukie with his burning hammer raised.

Lucian's eyes snapped open. His shattered arm regenerated at blinding speed, bones knitting together in an instant. A deadly red-and-black aura exploded around him as he vanished from sight.

Instant Slay.

He reappeared behind the orc in a flash of black lightning, sword already swinging in a perfect horizontal arc.

The orc's head flew off cleanly, tumbling through the air before hitting the floor with a heavy thud. The body collapsed in a heap, flames still licking at its charred remains.

Lucian landed gracefully, the dark aura slowly fading around him. The entire room seemed to grow heavier under the pressure of his presence.

Yukie stared at him, voice hesitant. "Lucian…"

He looked back at her, eyes still sharp. "We killed him."

The gravity in the room felt crushing. Lucian's legs suddenly buckled. "When the hotel staff come… tell them an orc attacked us. I defended you and fainted during the fight…"

His eyes closed. He collapsed onto the bed, unconscious.

Yukie looked at the decapitated orc, then at Lucian, and sighed dramatically. "Why do these things always happen to me…?"

A moment later, the door burst open again. The hotel in-charge and several staff rushed in, gasping at the gruesome scene.

"What happened here?!" the in-charge exclaimed, adjusting his glasses in shock.

Yukie immediately summoned fake tears, her voice trembling with perfect acting. "Thank goodness you came! This orc attacked us out of nowhere! My stepson fought him bravely, but he got hurt and fainted…"

The in-charge's expression softened with sympathy. "We're so sorry this happened in our hotel. We'll give you a new room immediately and prepare medicine for your stepson."

Lisa, the fox-eared maid, stepped in and stared at the orc's body in horror. "This man… I saw him earlier. He looked very suspicious."

The in-charge nodded seriously. "Lead them to their new room. Send a cleaning crew here and mark this room for maintenance."

Lisa helped Yukie lift the unconscious Lucian. As they left the bloodied room, Yukie whispered to herself with a small, satisfied smile, "That was actually a great idea…"

Lisa glanced at her, confused. "What happened, ma'am?"

Yukie flashed a confident smile. "Nothing. Just thinking about how wonderful the service is at this hotel."

Lisa bowed politely. "We're grateful to have guests like you."

As they walked down the corridor toward their new room, Yukie couldn't help but glance back at the chaos they'd left behind.

This fantasy world was already proving to be far more exciting — and dangerous — than either of them had expected.

Night had fallen over the Wandering Dragon Inn. Soft moonlight streamed through the window of their new room, casting gentle silver beams across the wooden floor and the large bed.

Lucian's eyes snapped open. He sat up with a sharp gasp, chest heaving, sweat still clinging to his forehead from the earlier battle.

"What happened…? Did we kill that orc or not?" he asked breathlessly, eyes wide with lingering panic.

Yukie lay comfortably on her back beside him, propped up slightly against the pillows. She was calmly flipping through the ancient leather-bound book, the pages glowing faintly in the moonlight. Her thin vest had shifted during the night, causing her huge, soft breasts to press heavily into the mattress, creating a deep, eye-catching cleavage that rose and fell with her relaxed breathing.

"We're alive, Sweetie," she replied in a soft, calm tone, not even looking up from the book. "And yes, we killed him. I've already learned all the spells in here. There are air-attribute, fire-attribute, and shadow-attribute spells — some of them are incredibly powerful. The only problem is I don't have infinite mana like you. I can't keep casting different spells in a long battle without running dry."

Lucian stared at her for a moment, then let out a long breath and collapsed back onto the bed, staring up at the wooden ceiling with a tired but relieved smile.

"I really thought we were going to die back there… but it's good to see we're both still alive."

Yukie closed the book with a soft thud and placed it on the bedside table. She turned toward him, her massive tits shifting and pressing down into the mattress through the thin fabric of her vest as she moved.

"That means tomorrow we'll have to go out and kill some monsters to earn money," she said with a calm, almost cheerful smile.

Lucian nodded slowly, eyes already growing heavy. "We have to stay ready for tomorrow…"

Within seconds, his breathing evened out. He had fallen fast asleep again, looking surprisingly peaceful despite everything that had happened.

Yukie blinked at him, a mix of amusement and mild disbelief on her face.

"He fell back asleep so fast…" she whispered softly, shaking her head with a gentle smile.

She reached over and carefully pulled the blanket up over him, tucking it around his shoulders with motherly care. Then she lay down beside him, staring at the ceiling for a moment longer before closing her eyes.

The room fell quiet, filled only with the soft sound of their breathing and the distant nighttime noises of the fantasy town outside.
