"Whatever, I need to eat first and regain my strength."
Lucas picked out the kinds of meat that wouldn't last long at room temperature and cooked them.
As for the lack of electricity making the induction stove unusable, Lucas improvised by building a primitive stone stove outside the house like in survival shows. He then lit a fire and placed a pan on it to cook.
Of course, he didn't have the energy to start a fire using stones or sticks—he simply used a lighter.
Lucas had no idea that not far from where his house stood, a young girl covered in wounds was staggering forward, occasionally leaning against trees to catch her breath.
This girl was extremely beautiful, with a full figure hidden beneath bronze-colored armor. She had long, smooth platinum hair tied into a ponytail that shimmered in the light. Despite her striking beauty, her aura made it impossible for anyone to associate her with the word "fragile."
However, her injuries seemed severe. Her pace grew slower and slower, and her vision began to blur.
Suddenly, her keen senses caught a strange scent—a very fragrant one—along with a faint column of smoke rising not far away.
"Is there… someone living here?"
The platinum-haired girl thought to herself, her unsteady steps shifting toward the smoke. Whether or not someone was truly there, if she didn't do something to save herself, she would die here from blood loss.
With that thought, she forced herself to move faster despite the pain.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Lucas was focused on cooking a large piece of steak.
When he saw that the meat was done to his liking, he lifted the pan off the stone stove and set it directly onto the grass.
Looking at the sizzling steak, with butter crackling on its surface, the hunger in Lucas's stomach intensified.
But at that moment, he saw a figure stumbling out from the forest—it was the platinum-haired girl.
Seeing that Lucas was truly just a normal human staring at her in shock, she finally felt a hint of relief—or rather, she was so exhausted that she could do nothing else, collapsing straight in front of him.
"…Huh?"
Lucas froze like a statue, unable to process what he was seeing. But when he noticed blood seeping through the gaps in her armor, he snapped back to his senses.
"Forget it, saving her comes first!"
Although he had many questions for the first human he had encountered in this world, he knew that saving her life had to come first.
Without hesitation, Lucas abandoned his meal, stepped forward, and lifted her by the back and thighs. Her weight, combined with the armor, made his arms tremble, forcing him to quickly carry her inside the house.
After placing her on the bed in the bedroom, he began fumbling to remove the torn armor around her abdomen. Fortunately, it wasn't too complicated, and after some effort, Lucas managed to take it off and set it aside.
Of course, that was only the torso armor, but judging from where the blood was coming from, the most severe wound had to be there.
Beneath the armor was her inner clothing, which had been torn, revealing her slender, flawless pale waist. Unfortunately, that beautiful waist was marred by a deep slash that ran across nearly three-quarters of it.
Although it hadn't reached her internal organs, the wound was so large that the blood kept flowing without stopping.
"I can't just wrap it with bandages like this—the bleeding won't stop."
"I have to stitch it!"
Thinking as he acted, Lucas rushed out of the room and hurried to grab medical supplies.
He silently thanked his own thoroughness. On his first day moving into the new house, he had prepared almost everything—so even in this new world, he still had the tools to manage.
When Lucas returned, he saw sweat forming on the girl's forehead—a bad sign. If he didn't treat the wound immediately, it could become life-threatening.
"Excuse me."
After saying that, Lucas took out a sterilized curved needle, threaded it with a medical thread, applied anesthetic, and began stitching the wound on her abdomen.
With each stitch, her body trembled slightly. Even unconscious and under anesthetic, she still seemed to feel the pain.
As for Lucas, he was in a state of complete focus, performing beyond his usual limits. Though his hands trembled slightly, he still managed to close the wound.
To prevent it from reopening or becoming infected, Lucas applied medicine, then wrapped her abdomen with cotton and bandages.
Once finished, he gently helped the platinum-haired girl sit up and fed her some antibiotics to prevent complications before laying her back down.
Only then did her expression soften slightly, perhaps because the pain from the wound had begun to subside under the anesthetic.
Lucas didn't stop there. He removed the remaining pieces of her armor and continued treating her smaller wounds.
After struggling for more than an hour, all of her injuries were finally treated.
Looking at his work, Lucas couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment.
He had always been independent—or at least cautious. While others might think of calling an ambulance, he had always leaned toward saving himself first. After all, what if the ambulance didn't arrive in time? Even if such a situation was rare.
Unexpectedly, his survival skills had proven useful in a situation like this.
Having barely rested before tending to someone else's injuries, Lucas dragged his weakened body back to the stone stove outside the house. Looking at the now cold steak still sitting in the pan, he gave a bitter smile.
