Chapter 64 - planning to leave the kingdom

The next morning, the Adventurers Guild lobby was crowded with nearly every high-ranking adventurer, healer, and staff member who had been part of the events of the past weeks. Word had spread quickly that Luo Feng was leaving.

He stood in the center of the hall with Lina on one side and little Suki on the other. The small girl clung tightly to his leg, still quiet but safe. Luo Feng bowed deeply to the Guild Master and all the gathered adventurers.

"Thank you," he said in his usual calm, steady voice. "Thank you for everything you have done for me, for Lina, and for Suki. Tomorrow morning I will leave the kingdom with them. We will travel to another kingdom and stay there until things quiet down here. We will return when it is safe again."

He reached into his Storage Bag and pulled out a large, shimmering bar of pure Mithril ore. He placed it gently on the table in front of the Guild Master.

"This is a gift for taking care of me and Lina while I was injured. Please use it however the guild needs."

The Guild Master's eyes widened at the legendary metal, but he accepted it with a respectful bow of his own.

Luo Feng then turned to the rest of the adventurers. He pulled out a heavy leather pouch filled with two hundred gold coins and handed it over.

"This is for all of you — for your help, for standing with me, and for protecting us when I could not. Please share it among yourselves."

The adventurers accepted the pouch with grateful murmurs and bows, many of them clearly moved.

Finally, Luo Feng reached into his Storage Bag once more and brought out two full barrels of the special grape wine from Eden Village — the very last ones he had kept.

"Tonight," he said with a small, gentle smile, "let's drink together. We will be leaving tomorrow morning. Please enjoy this wine with me one last time."

The guild hall erupted in loud cheers. The barrels were opened immediately. Cups were passed around, and the rich, sweet aroma of the grape wine filled the entire room. Everyone drank, laughed, shared stories, and raised their cups again and again. Even the Guild Master drank with a rare, warm smile on his scarred face. Lina and Suki sat beside Luo Feng, sipping small cups of the sweet wine, surrounded by the warmth and camaraderie of the adventurers who had chosen to stand with them.

Luo Feng sat quietly among them, watching the lively scene with calm eyes. For one final night the guild felt like a home — a place where he was accepted, protected, and remembered.

Tomorrow he would leave the Dragon Kingdom with Lina and Suki, heading toward a safer land until the storm caused by the Goddess and her heroes finally passed.

But tonight, they drank, they laughed, and they celebrated the small peace they had managed to carve out together.
