The moment the ox-cart rolled through the village gates, the excitement reached its peak.
Kael and Lin Wang could no longer hold back. They quickly put on their new Mithril armor — the lightweight silver plates gleaming under the afternoon sun — and drew their matching Mithril swords. The blades sang as they were pulled from their sheaths.
"Look at this!" Kael shouted proudly, striking a pose. He swung the sword in a smooth arc, the metal flashing brightly. "It's so light, yet it can cut through almost anything!"
Lin Wang laughed and joined him, showing off the perfect balance of his own sword. "Feel how strong the armor is! Even a B-rank monster's claw would bounce right off!"
The villagers gathered around them in awe, children gasping and elders murmuring in wonder. The two young men proudly demonstrated a few practice swings and defensive stances, making the entire square buzz with excitement and pride.
Chief Haru finally raised his hand for silence, and everyone moved toward the center of the village square. The ox-cart was brought right into the middle so everyone could see.
Luo Feng stepped forward, his calm, gentle presence instantly quieting the crowd. Miya stood proudly beside him, her new katana at her hip and the silver lotus hairpin still in her hair.
"Village Chief," Luo Feng said clearly, his voice carrying across the square, "all the harvest has been sold at a very good price in the capital. We have brought back everything the village needs."
He gestured to the heavily loaded cart.
"Cloth for new clothes, silk for special occasions, pure salt, medicines for the sick and elders, iron tools, cooking pots, warm blankets, and many other things. Please distribute all of this amongst everyone fairly so that every family can benefit."
The villagers' eyes widened with joy and disbelief. Whispers of gratitude spread like ripples.
Luo Feng then turned to Kael and Lin Wang.
"Kael, Wang," he said, "distribute the armor and weapons among the adult men and women who are strong enough to fight and protect the village. Make sure the guards and young hunters receive them first. These will keep everyone safer from now on."
Kael and Lin Wang immediately bowed. "Yes, Luo Feng!"
They began carefully handing out the remaining Mithril armor sets and swords to the strongest adults — the current village guards, the young hunters, and a few reliable farmers who often helped defend the fields. Each recipient accepted the gifts with trembling hands and deep bows, many with tears in their eyes.
Chief Haru stepped forward and placed both hands on Luo Feng's shoulders, his voice thick with emotion.
"Feng… you have done more for this village than anyone in our history. We can never repay you."
Luo Feng smiled his usual gentle smile and shook his head.
"I don't need repayment. Seeing everyone healthy and safe is enough."
Miya looked at him with eyes full of love and pride. The entire village broke into loud cheers and applause. Children ran around excitedly, women began sorting through the new cloth and medicines, and the men carefully examined their new weapons and armor.
That evening, Eden Village held a grand welcoming feast in the square. Fresh fish from the pond, roasted maize from the new harvest, and the last of the grape wine were shared freely. Songs were sung, stories were told, and laughter filled the air late into the night.
Luo Feng and Miya sat together near the bonfire, hands intertwined, watching the happy scene with quiet contentment.
They were finally home.
The unblessed traveler from another world had brought prosperity, protection, and hope to a once-forgotten village — and in return, he had found the family and the peace he never knew he needed.
