Chapter 24 - I Am So Handsome

The weekend passed, and the first day of the official university career was an 8 AM English class.

For university students who had wasted an entire summer break, this was simply torture.

Upon entering the classroom, most people were still drowsy, only Ethan was exceptionally energetic, showing no signs of sleepiness at all.

This wasn't because he had gone to bed early the night before, but because he still harbored fear and apprehension toward Scarlett.

The other five people, however, were all listless.

"So sleepy, I want to sleep."

Bruce yawned, and Stark, who had already slumped over beside him, replied, "If you want to sleep, then sleep. University teachers don't care."

Johnson quickly refuted this, "That's not necessarily true. Some strict teachers won't say anything if you sleep in class, but they will deduct your participation points."

This statement was immediately agreed upon by Ethan, "I don't know about other teachers, but if you dare to sleep, Scarlett will definitely deduct your participation points, the kind where she deducts them until you fail."

"Speaking of which, Brother Tony, is Scarlett as terrifying as you say? I feel like you're exaggerating. We have no grudge against her, why would she try so hard to deduct our participation points?"

"Exactly, exactly. Andrew is from your hometown and he isn't that scared of Scarlett either."

Faced with everyone's questioning, Ethan didn't want to explain anymore, "Suit yourselves. If you want to sleep, sleep. Don't blame me if you fail English at the end of the semester for not warning you."

At this moment, Steve said, "I think instead of sleeping, it's quite nice to look at Scarlett. It's refreshing for the eyes, and we usually can't see her outside of class."

When Tony heard this, he immediately revealed a look of disdain, "Ew, I didn't expect you, Steve, who is usually quiet, to be a secretly lecherous old pervert."

"What right do you have to talk about me, you guy who watches borderline suggestive livestreams every night? You watch borderline suggestive videos with full beauty filters; surely you'd watch natural beauty?"

"Now that you put it that way, I really don't feel sleepy anymore. Scarlett is indeed much better looking than those borderline suggestive online celebrities."

As the few of them were sitting together chatting nonsense, the girl sitting in front of them suddenly turned around and glanced at them dismissively, "All you know is how to stare. Stare until your eyeballs pop out. Professor Scarlett isn't yours anyway."

This comment made Stark, who had already slumped over, unable to resist lifting his head, "Diana, what we look at has nothing to do with you, right? We aren't even looking at you."

"I'm just stating the facts."

Diana was quite thin and rather short, and her looks could be considered cute, but she spoke in a chattering manner, completely lacking the gentle fragility usually associated with petite girls.

"You girls chase after idols, so why is it not okay for us to look?" Steve also retorted.

Diana snorted coldly, "At least idols interact with us online. Does Professor Scarlett ever pay attention to you?"

Seeing that an argument was about to break out, Tony quickly tried to placate Steve and Stark, "Don't argue, don't argue, we're all classmates."

Then he said to Diana with a forced smile, "Diana, I won't look."

"Tch."

Diana rolled her eyes directly at Tony.

Steve couldn't help but say contemptuously, "Stupid sycophant, offering a warm face to a cold backside."

"..."

After they exchanged a few jabs, Olivia also turned around and coldly mocked them, "Has Professor Scarlett ever been seen standing next to another man? A bunch of toads dreaming of eating swan meat."

"Wait a minute, Olivia, what does your conflict with Andrew have to do with complaining to us?"

During military training, Andrew had been indifferent to Olivia, causing her to be thoroughly snubbed, which is why she held a grudge against him, but she has not only grudge, but something else also.

Furthermore, because Scarlett completely overshadowed her beauty, almost none of the male students in finance class four paid much attention to her, which greatly annoyed Olivia, who was accustomed to being the center of attention since childhood, leading her to adopt a dismissive attitude toward the vast majority of the boys in the class.

"What? Am I wrong? Which one of you dares to walk with Professor Scarlett? I bet none of you even dare to greet her."

For a moment, no one replied. Indeed, none of them dared to greet Scarlett; she was too aloof.

"Damn it, that bitch has a really poisonous tongue," Stark muttered quietly.

Johnson nodded in agreement, "It's all Ethan's fault for being such a coward. Scarlett even substituted for his class, yet he doesn't even dare to go say hello, otherwise we could have slapped Olivia in the face."

Now Ethan was indignant, "Hell, why don't 'you' dare to go then?"

Bruce sighed, "Why hasn't Andrew arrived at the classroom yet? He definitely dares to greet Professor Scarlett."

Meanwhile, Olivia and Diana, having turned back, continued their conversation.

"Finally quiet. All they know how to talk about is beautiful women. How boring," Diana complained again.

At this moment, the class monitor, Lucy, quietly advised, "If you don't want to listen, you don't have to pay attention to them. There's no need to argue since you're all classmates."

Then she also persuaded Olivia, "What you said was too harsh. Besides, isn't Andrew's relationship with Professor Scarlett quite good? If you talk like that, you might end up being proven wrong."

Olivia remained very dismissive, "Tch. Last time during military training, Professor Scarlett probably just found Andrew temporarily for something. How could she have taken him to breakfast as the rumors say? If it was for breakfast, Professor Scarlett wouldn't have needed to specifically greet the drill instructor."

Lucy sighed, "You can't keep picking faults just because you were embarrassed by Andrew last time, can you?"

"Did I? I just can't stand his posturing and feigned aloofness. He's not some second-generation rich kid, yet he still acts indifferent to me."

She said, but in her mind were different things, 'I will just need a single chance, and then, I will tame him, calling me as his mommy.'

"Alright, alright, stop talking. Class is about to start," Diana reminded them.

"Speaking of which, why hasn't Andrew arrived yet? He's about to be late."

Lucy noticed that Andrew was the only one not in the classroom.

"Heh, who knows. He's probably going to be late. Let's see how Professor Scarlett punishes him later," Olivia sneered coldly.

Just as she finished speaking, the front door of the lecture hall was pushed open. Scarlett walked in first, holding textbooks, a cup of coffee dangling from her slender fingers, along with a cup of milk.

Then, under everyone's watchful eyes, Andrew followed closely behind, walking into the classroom with light steps alongside Scarlett. He was holding the other half of the textbooks, and his right hand was carrying Scarlett's small purse.

"Put your bag on the podium. Drink your milk when you get back to your seat; it will get cold by the time class ends."

"Teacher, didn't you say we aren't allowed to eat during class?"

"I woke up late today, rushing you to eat breakfast, so this is an exception."

"Oh."

After putting the bag down, Andrew took the milk from Scarlett's hand and walked toward the back of the classroom.

At the same time, the entire classroom was dead silent, with gazes fixed on him. The air seemed to solidify.

"What's going on? Did I turn into Tom Cruise while I was sleeping?"

Andrew was a bit confused. As his gaze swept across the room, he happened to see Olivia.

When she saw him, the corner of her mouth twitched slightly, seemingly dissatisfied, but more so feeling like she had lost face. She quickly averted her gaze, lowered her head, and pretended to read a book.

Andrew walked to an empty seat in the back row and looked at Ethan and the others who were staring at him, "Why are you staring at me? Even if I'm handsome, you don't have to stare constantly, right?"

Stark was extremely excited, "He really is handsome! Handsome as hell! Simply stunningly handsome!"

"How come I myself didn't realize I was so explosively handsome?"
