Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 Opening

Chapter 10 Opening

Five strange gazes cast from not far away made Ning Huan subconsciously look up at the stands.

As luck would have it, their eyes met those of the middle-aged man standing in the main seat.

Leaving aside appearance and temperament, the inexplicable smile in Ning Hao's eyes, tinged with a hint of calculation, gave Ning Huan a chilling feeling.

With just one glance, he immediately made up his mind.

My little tricks are no match for this fox!

'The pressure is a bit much; I ultimately underestimated the intelligence of those in power...'

'However, on the other hand, if Tianluo City weren't so remote, and the sect's roster management weren't so strict...'

'Only a fool would willingly go to the doorstep of higher-ups like this.'

Thinking of this, Ning Huan suddenly calmed his thoughts and cleared his mind.

While trying to avoid revealing too many flaws, he was also secretly relieved.

Thanks to his tireless efforts and good luck, he was able to dig out the Sword Bone that had been buried for thousands of years and was not completely damaged.

Otherwise, if the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile School is excluded, he doesn't have many options left.

He doesn't know much about ordinary academies. The three great empires impose many restrictions, and other sects are too exclusive.

As for Shrek Academy, he'll definitely have to make that trip sometime in the future.

He just doesn't have the courage to go alone yet.

"Since we're here, let's make the best of it!"

"I don't believe Ning Hao would lack the courage to shut me out just because of a little doubt!"

From his vantage point on the high platform, Ning Hao also noticed Ning Huan's change in demeanor, from tense to composed.

"Judging from the current performance, Tian'er's guess is pretty much right."

Wind Douluo spoke softly to Shield Douluo, his tone slightly strange.

He simply couldn't understand what gave Ning Huan the confidence to do something so contrary to common sense.

After all, there were only a few sect elders stationed outside, and they had nothing to do with him.

With deceased parents and only two minor deacons, even the most greedy person couldn't save a million.

Moreover, many things simply cannot be bought with money.

Where did he get his connections and knowledge?

Ning Hao, however, smiled and shook his head after hearing this.

While gesturing for his disciples to rise and take their seats to continue the competition, he turned to Feng Douluo and said:

"Uncle Feng, don't panic, the answer will be revealed in time."

However, while everyone was chatting, Sword Douluo remained silent from beginning to end, his gaze towards Ning Huan extremely complex.

Why... does this child give me an aura of 'senior'?

'Is it just my imagination...?'

At the same time, looking at the thirty-odd young men and women in front of him who were full of high spirits and seemed to have been injected with chicken blood, Ning Huan felt a headache coming on.

Due to the relaxation of age and other restrictions, the sect disciples who can reach the top 32 are at least high-level Great Soul Masters.

Such talents might not be highly valued in Shrek Academy.

But for the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile School, that is a very important backbone force in the future.

Fighting based on sheer strength?

With his total soul power, recovery speed, and more than ten powerful soul beast spirits, he was sure to win.

But this would fall far short of the effect he wanted.

However, if he were to summon Sword Douluo directly, Ning Huan was afraid of breaking the mentality of these little guys in front of him and causing a lot of trouble for no reason.

There was nothing they could do; most of the disciples in front of him were from their own sect.

Nepotism is rampant!

Even with Ning Hao protecting him, the sect elders would still have to jump out and say a few words, which would be really troublesome.

However, things had come to this point, and since it concerned his own interests, Ning Huan had no other choice.

Furthermore, the chaotic battle mode was decided by the sect leader with a single word.

If something goes wrong, the primary responsibility lies with Hao, not Huan!

"Sigh, I was planning to go all out in the last match, but you guys are giving me the chance to shine."

Ning Huan let out a long sigh, a smile that wasn't quite a smile.

Immediately, his soul power surged, and he turned his gaze to the referee who had not made a move.

"Referee, I'm ready."

The sudden signal startled the referee, who spoke with shock and disbelief.

Are you sure?

"A level 43 Soul Master fighting against 28 Great Soul Masters and 3 Soul Venerables is a first in ten thousand years."

"If I make a careless move, I might not be able to save you in time."

Unfortunately, the well-intentioned warning did not make Ning Huan feel nervous at all, and his voice remained calm.

"Since this is unprecedented in history, aren't you one of the most important witnesses to today's battle of spirits?"

The referee: ...

That's a very nice thing to hear!

He's much better than those arrogant brats in the sect!

"Alright, since you're determined to fight with your soul, I won't say anything more."

"Young man, please don't die."

However, despite this, the middle-aged man acting as the referee released his soul ring without hesitation.

Seven soul rings—two yellow, three purple, and two black—flashed and intertwined, instantly covering the arena with the aura of a Soul Saint.

Judging from his serious expression and the way he kept glancing at Ning Huan, he clearly intended to save him in a critical moment.

"Both sides prepare. The battle will begin in one minute!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the thirty-one people, excluding Ning Huan, immediately formed three teams.

Offensive-type Soul Masters took the initiative to step forward, Control-type Soul Masters remained stationary, and Agility-type Soul Masters stood on either side.

The orderly arrangement of the positions left the spectators on the sidelines exclaiming in disbelief.

Only Ning Huan's face darkened upon seeing this; he was utterly speechless at Ning Hao's bizarre actions.

"So I've been 'isolated' since yesterday?"

As he spoke, he suddenly curled the corners of his mouth slightly.

Then he looked up at the platform again, his lips parted slightly, and his words were clear.

"If you like to play games, then don't blame me for going too far."

Seeing this, Ning Hao's heart skipped a beat, and he suddenly had a premonition that he had made a mistake.

Although it was too far away and noisy, it was impossible to hear what Ning Huan was saying.

But he was absolutely certain that it was definitely not a good thing for him!

"Uncle Feng, you're the fastest. If anything goes wrong later, you must act immediately!"

"Um... okay."

A minute passed in the blink of an eye, and the contrast between the two sides of the ring was striking.

However, unlike the side with a large number of people, which had a clear formation and imposing momentum, this side was different.

Ning Huan, isolated at the edge of the arena, simply raised his left hand and placed it in front of his chest, the soul power emanating from his body was surprisingly dense.

Seeing that both sides were ready, the referee finally made his move, taking three steps back to the edge of the field and shouting loudly:

"Both sides prepare, battle spirit..."

"start!"

At his command, thirty-one Soul Masters instantly completed the Martial Soul Possession.

Immediately afterwards, more than sixty soul rings flashed frequently.

Those with amplifying soul skills activated them for enhancement, while those without unleashed their full power, charging straight forward without any intention of retreating.

In the blink of an eye, the fastest agility-type Soul Masters had already rushed to the center of the arena.

Give him a few more seconds, and the first wave of attacks would land on Ning Huan.

"Sigh, I hope your resolve hasn't been shattered..."

"Otherwise, I'll be in a lot of trouble."

After saying that, Ning Huan stopped suppressing himself, and his soul power, which was comparable to that of a mid-level Soul King, suddenly erupted.

The surging air currents forced the fastest agility-type Soul Masters to stop.

With a look of fear on their faces, they froze and watched.

The other participants also looked serious, with their arms in front of their chests, no longer as relaxed as before.

"Are you kidding me?! This guy is a Soul Master?!"

"Where did this guy even come from?!"

"We can't beat him at all!"

In an instant, the crowd was filled with indignation.
