As Stella Sterling finished speaking, Felix Lawrence immediately understood what she meant.
His gaze flickered, but he still looked worried. "Isn't that too dangerous? Can you handle it on your own?"
"Don't underestimate me. I'm pretty amazing, you know."
Stella Sterling laughed and clapped Felix Lawrence on the shoulder, her eyes brimming with self-confidence.
Her smile was dazzlingly bold.
For some reason, her expression and confident gaze inspired a strange, powerful sense of trust in Felix Lawrence.
He nodded. "Alright. But you have to promise you'll be safe. If you need any help at all, you have to tell me!"
'Then again,' he thought, 'Miss Sterling isn't the type to recklessly put herself in danger. She wouldn't do this unless she was confident she could pull it off.'
'She's not an idiot. Why would she gamble with her own life?!'
'If she were that reckless, Miss Sterling would've died long ago in this wasteland. There's no way she would have survived until now!'
