Thankfully, the car came to a steady stop.
Evelyn Grant looked outside and saw they had arrived at the Mid-Levels.
Wyatt Walsh calmly got out, closed the door, and disappeared somewhere.
Only she and Preston Keaton were left in the car. A faint light flickered in her eyes as she carefully clutched her stomach.
"I'm really not feeling well. I want to go back and rest."
At this hour, Preston Keaton still had matters to attend to back in Centrium. He had originally just meant to drag her back, but he never expected the young woman to be so delightful. Now, he was actually reluctant to let her go.
But there would be plenty of time for that.
The young woman was under his wing, within his control.
He lowered his gaze. When he opened his eyes again, the dark emotions had vanished, replaced by his usual cool, detached composure. He was perfectly calm. "Don't go out again. If I catch you…"
