Seraphina Quinn was left speechless.
Damian Fairchild, however, wasn't looking at her. "I'm going to take a shower. Make me something to eat."
Seraphina Quinn subconsciously asked, "It's so late. Haven't you had dinner yet?"
Standing so close, Seraphina Quinn could easily smell the alcohol on Damian Fairchild.
That was why she subconsciously assumed Damian Fairchild must have eaten something for dinner. Even if it was just for a business dinner, he would have had a few bites.
And that was why she had asked.
But to Damian Fairchild's ears, her question sounded like she was asking for his help but didn't even have the decency to make him a late-night snack.
The throbbing between Damian Fairchild's brows intensified, and his frown deepened.
He stared at Seraphina Quinn, his eyes deep and unreadable, and gave a derisive laugh. "What? You ask me for a favor, yet you're not even willing to make me a late-night snack?"
Seraphina Quinn stammered, "I… I didn't mean it like that."
