Misa giggled, a chilling sound in the night. "I have the Eyes of the Shinigami, Light. I traded half my lifespan for them. I can see the name and lifespan of anyone I look at... except for other Death Note owners. That's how I knew it was you. Your name didn't appear above your head."

Light realized the power he now had in front of him. With Misa's eyes, he wouldn't need to trick L or wait for a mistake. He just needed Misa to look at L.
"Why are you doing this, Misa?" Light asked, stepping closer.
"Kira killed the man who murdered my parents," she said, her voice filled with devotion. "You are my hero, Light. Use me. I will be your eyes. I will kill anyone you want. I just want to be by your side."
[Scene 5: The Dark Alliance]
A dangerous smile spread across Light's face. He had found the ultimate weapon. L thought he was playing a game of chess, but Light had just brought a queen onto the board.
