chapter -14-if peace exists its clearly avoiding me

Zian Hausi woke up with determination.

Not motivation.

Not energy.

Not excitement.

Just pure determination to do nothing.

She lay flat on her bed, staring at the ceiling like a philosopher who had already figured out life and decided it was not worth participating in.

"Today," she said slowly, "I will stay home."

She closed her eyes.

Peace.

Silence.

Comfort.

Her phone rang.

Zian didn't move.

She stared at the phone like it had personally betrayed her.

It kept ringing.

Loud.

Persistent.

Annoying.

"…If I ignore it, maybe it will go away," she muttered.

It did not go away.

It got louder.

Zian slowly reached out, picked it up, and answered without even looking.

"…What," she said.

"ZIAAAAAAN!!!"

Zian immediately pulled the phone away from her ear.

"…You're loud," she said.

Hajiara's voice came through at maximum energy.

"COME OUT!! TODAY IS ANOTHER GREAT DAY!!"

Zian closed her eyes again.

"…No."

Silence.

"…What do you mean no?" Hajiara asked.

"I mean no," Zian replied.

Inside—

I choose peace.

Hajiara gasped dramatically.

"YOU CAN'T JUST SAY NO!"

Zian blinked.

"…I just did."

Afianxi's voice appeared in the background.

"Let her rest."

Muanthas added calmly,

"She sounds tired."

Zian nodded slightly.

"…Finally. Intelligent people."

Hajiara ignored them completely.

"GET READY! I'M COMING TO PICK YOU UP!"

Zian sat up instantly.

"…Don't."

Too late.

The call ended.

Zian stared at the phone.

"…This is how problems begin."

Thirty minutes later—

Zian stood outside her house.

She didn't remember agreeing.

She didn't remember getting ready.

She didn't remember walking out.

I have lost control of my life.

A car stopped in front of her.

Hajiara jumped out like she had just won something.

"LET'S GO!"

Zian didn't move.

"I regret everything," she said.

Afianxi stepped out of the car.

"You say that every day."

Zian nodded.

"Because it's true every day."

Muanthas stepped out last, calm as always.

"Get in," she said.

Zian looked at the car.

"…If I enter, I won't come back the same."

Hajiara grabbed her and pushed her inside.

"STOP TALKING AND SIT!"

Inside the car—

Zian leaned against the window, already tired.

"Where are we going?" she asked.

Hajiara smiled proudly.

"A surprise!"

Zian immediately frowned.

"I don't like surprises."

Inside—

Surprises bring problems.

Afianxi laughed.

"Exactly why we didn't tell you."

Zian sighed.

"I am surrounded by enemies."

Muanthas nodded.

"That is correct."

The car stopped.

Zian stepped out slowly.

Then looked up.

Her expression didn't change.

But internally—

No.

Pause.

Absolutely not.

It was an amusement park.

Crowds.

Noise.

Screaming.

Moving machines designed to throw people into the air for no reason.

Zian turned around immediately.

"I'm going home."

Hajiara grabbed her again.

"NO YOU'RE NOT!"

Zian looked at the rides.

"…Why are people paying to suffer?"

Afianxi laughed.

"Because it's fun."

Zian looked at her.

"…Define fun."

Hajiara dragged her to the first ride.

Zian stared at it.

"…This looks dangerous."

"It's safe!" Hajiara said.

"…It spins."

"Yes!"

"…People scream."

"Yes!"

"…That is not comforting."

Before she could escape—

She was pushed into the seat.

The ride started.

Slow at first.

Then faster.

Then faster.

People screamed.

Zian sat there.

Completely still.

"…This is unnecessary," she said.

Inside—

I could be sleeping.

The ride spun faster.

Hajiara screamed.

Afianxi screamed.

Random people screamed.

Zian did not scream.

"…I feel nothing," she said.

The ride stopped.

Hajiara stumbled out.

"That was AMAZING!"

Afianxi leaned against a wall.

"I can't feel my legs."

Zian stepped out calmly.

"…I feel like I wasted time."

They moved again.

Food stalls.

Games.

Noise.

Chaos.

Zian walked slowly.

This place is loud.

Hajiara dragged her to a game.

"TRY THIS!"

Zian looked at it.

"…Another scam."

She threw once.

Perfect hit.

She threw again.

Perfect.

Third time.

Perfect.

The shop owner looked like he was about to cry.

Zian looked at the prizes.

"…I don't want anything."

Hajiara screamed.

"WE'RE TAKING EVERYTHING!"

Zian sighed.

I am tired.

Then—

The lights flickered.

Zian stopped walking.

"…Again?"

The air changed.

Slightly.

Wrong.

Zian sighed.

"I came here to suffer normally," she said.

"…Not this."

People didn't notice yet.

But she did.

Shadows moved.

Slow.

Creeping.

Zian turned slightly.

"…You followed me again."

Hajiara grabbed her arm.

"ZIAN LOOK—"

Zian gently removed her hand.

"Stay here," she said.

Then she walked away.

Calm.

Into the deeper part of the park.

Moments later—

Silence.

No screams.

No chaos.

Then—

Everything returned to normal.

Zian walked back.

Holding food.

Like nothing happened.

Hajiara ran to her.

"WHERE DID YOU GO?!"

Zian blinked.

"Thinking," she said.

Inside—

Fighting again.

Afianxi stared.

"…You're suspicious."

Zian nodded.

"Yes."

She took a bite of food.

"…This is good."

Inside—

Worth it.

And just like that—

Another peaceful day—

Was completely ruined.

Again. 😭🔥
