Chapter 99: goblin manager Davis is convinced
Getting the special treatment and the extra benefit specifically for him made Davis moved. He immediately accepted the offer of Jack. For the time being everything will be kept in secret. Davis wanted to ask about the approval of the ministry.
When Jack showed him the approval letter Davis was really set. Most of the ground work and preparations for the basic plan are completed. All that is left is to start the recruitment and start the work.
Well leasing the gold mine in Alaska is also in the list but the funds are provided by Dumbledore. For the time being Dumbledore would be in charge. That is, for the world outside Dumbledore is the person that is organizing the entire thing.

They returned to Hogwarts after dealing with many things. When they returned they found that the secret passage on the fourth floor has collapsed. It is just like that in the plot. But Jack really doubts how it has actually collapsed.
The reason for this is actually the embezzlement of funds that needed for the repair of the castle. The management has eaten the funds. Even minister fudge has a share in it. Since it is a secret passage it is not needed.
It is a study place instead of a guarding place like a real castle. Using this point they simply gave up the repair cost for this place and diverted the funds secretly. Jack knowing this could not do anything.
After all it is not his duty to take care of the castle. It is the duty of the head master that should negotiate. But Dumbledore was busy planning for Harry and his growth as a savior. So this neglect resulted in the damage to the castle.

But that evening, something has happened that made minister fudge unable to concentrate on many things. His original intentions on investigating the collapsed tunnel were put out because of this.
As part of a bet, Cornelius Fudge's nephew causes a Muggle tube train to disappear. Muggle travelers wait an hour and a half for their train before figuring out that it has vanished. Well it is a magical thing.
As results of the event, Rufus is suspended from his job at the Improper Use of Magic Office and the public questions the Ministry's purported commitment to eradicating anti-Muggle bias within its ranks.
Even with all the big commotion of people petrifaction the school still started without any hindrance. It is as if they did not care about the deaths of the people or the plot is trying its best to let the things go in right track.
Jack noticed these changes and felt slight dread he felt that there are more things that are dangerous towards him and he could not just stop them with his current power. Fortunately he is an external character that is not in the plot.
So he don't have to worry about being corrected by the plot and that is dying unknowingly and becoming a puppet controlled by the unknown force making things strange like they are a play or something.
The school started normally after the winter break and Jack was more enthusiastic right now as he continued with what he was doing before. Also he is more alert about the things around him.
He did not know from which direction the danger would come. If the danger did not come he is more than happy. If danger comes he can try his best to survive. Harry got the diary that Ginny flushed in the toilet.
Well Jack already saw the diary but he don't want to touch something that was flushed into a toilet. He wants to be clean unlike some people. Jack did not care about these situations. He only pays attention to these so that he can benefit from them when it was required.
There is another good thing that Jack did during the winter break. It is to send a blackmail letter to Lucius along with his photo of dropping the diary into the cauldron of Ginny. This was done by Sebastian that is very good at doing bad things like this.
He learnt them from Gellert Grindelwald. To be precise he was trained by Gellert Grindelwald to raise funds for his needs secretly. After all he is a dark lord and he needs money to keep him troops well fed.
Jack gave him the general idea and he went on to work. The result is that half of the wealth of Malfoy family is now in the hands of Jack. Jack used the wealth as the starting capital for his plan on his consultancy company.
Dumbledore did not ask Jack, from where he got so much money from. With both his and Gellert Grindelwald's characteristics Jack can get money from many means. Draco that has returned to the school did not have a good face.
