"The Elf Race is looking for Eriko; it seems our little sister Ya is truly a trouble magnet," Leticia commented that night after listening to Luna's report.
"Should we hand over information about Eriko to the Elf Race?" Luna sat by Leticia's bed, seeking her Majesty's opinion.
If Eriko weren't living here, Leticia would have naturally chosen to stand by and let Luna handle it as she saw fit.
But the problem now was that Eriko was too close to her.
Who knew if Eriko had some weapon of mass destruction? If she clashed with the Elves coming to capture her and couldn't win, she might try to take everyone down with her. Wouldn't Leticia be suffering an undeserved disaster then?
"How about telling Melanie to put Eriko outside?" Leticia made a small joke.
"That seems unlikely. Even if Malanie Ling agreed to Your Majesty's suggestion, Miss Ya probably wouldn't."
"Ah, right, there's also Leticia." Leticia felt a bit troubled; she didn't want to see Leticia get hurt.
From the current situation, Leticia and Eriko had become good friends, and Eriko only acted naturally in front of Leticia.
If they suddenly sent Eriko away now, Yori would definitely ask why.
Reasons were easy to find, but stopping Yori and Eriko from meeting would be difficult.
No one knew when the Elf Race would choose to act once they had information on Eriko. If the time they chose happened to be when Yori was with Eriko, wouldn't that put Yori in danger?
Elves wouldn't do anything too extreme in the Human World, but if a human truly stood in their way to stop them from achieving their goal, Leticia had no doubt the Elves would take action.
They might not kill, but there would certainly be some physical suffering.
"What a hassle."
"Even if we don't say anything, the Elf Race likely has ways to find Eriko. This bomb will explode sooner or later," Luna continued. "Since Elves have already appeared in Central City, it means they have a rough idea of Eriko's location. Before long, they might narrow their target down to this place."
"Can't we just tell Eriko to get lost on her own?"
"You'll go?"
"I'm not suited to be the villain. If anyone goes, it has to be that bastard Melanie."
"Then you'll go convince Malanie?"
"Ah... Luna, I feel like you've turned wicked."
"I'm just letting Your Majesty know that it's an unlikely possibility." Luna smiled and offered her suggestion. "However, we do need to talk with Malanie. After all, we are just outsiders; the final decision must be made by her."
Leticia and her group could pack up and return to the Demon Realm at any time, waiting for this Eriko matter to pass before coming back to live their peaceful lives.
But Melanie couldn't. She couldn't exactly drag her sister to live somewhere else by force and then watch Eriko get captured, could she?
If nothing else, she wouldn't be able to get past Yori.
"True, I have to talk to her again. It's really annoying." Leticia expressed her reluctance to speak with Melanie.
Luna immediately offered to do it for her. "I can discuss this matter with Malanie directly. Your Majesty can just rest and recover in peace."
"Uh, I'll go after all." But after thinking it over, Leticia felt it was better if she showed up herself.
Melanie was a Sword Saint, after all. Showing up in person was a sign of respect.
Yes, it was only out of respect for her, with no other feelings involved.
Absolutely none!
"Fine, then shall I help Your Majesty upstairs now? Or should I call Malanie down?"
"Help me up. It doesn't feel right to keep letting her into my room."
"Yes."
When Kira finished her bath and came out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel, she was bewildered to find herself alone in the house.
Where was her sister? Where was Luna? Where had they gone?
Why did it feel like she was the outsider in this house!
Her sister had one hundred percent trust in Luna, and Luna had one hundred percent loyalty to her sister. She felt like she was just a bonus item from a phone plan.
This life is unbearable!
*Slam!*
..."Your room is quite clean." Sitting on Melanie's bed, Leticia looked around and found that it was no different from the last time she entered.
After Luna helped Leticia inside, she closed the door and went outside. Now, only Leticia and a somewhat flustered Melanie remained in the room.
"Um, did you come to see me for something?" Melanie was wearing a somewhat revealing black lace nightgown, sitting stiffly in a chair.
This gown, one could only say, quite subverted Leticia's impression of Melanie.
Who would have thought that you, with your dignified looks, would actually wear something like this at night? It was truly eye-opening.
"I didn't buy this; someone gave it to me," Melanie quickly explained, noticing Leticia's odd gaze.
Though she didn't know why she felt the need to explain herself.
"You don't need to explain to me; I'm not your anyone," Leticia wagged a finger. "But, it is indeed quite alluring."
Melanie's face turned a bit red.
"Alright, alright, back to business. What you wear at night is none of my concern." Leticia recounted what Luna had told her to Melanie. "That's the situation. What do you think?"
"I don't know," Melanie stated quite bluntly, admitting she wasn't good at thinking.
