Chapter 50 - Justice Served

Justice Served

The night air at the docks was thick with tension.

Fists clenched.

Eyes locked.

Alexander and Adrian stood just a few feet apart—

Years of betrayal hanging between them like a loaded weapon.

"Too late," Adrian had said.

And for a moment—

Everything inside Alexander snapped.

He moved forward.

Fast.

Dangerous.

But before anything could happen—

SIRENS.

Loud.

Sharp.

Piercing through the night like a warning.

Both men froze.

Lights flooded the docks.

Red.

Blue.

Blinding.

"POLICE! EVERYONE FREEZE!"

Chaos erupted instantly.

Officers rushed in from every direction—guns raised, voices commanding, footsteps echoing against metal and concrete.

Adrian's men scattered.

But it was useless.

They were surrounded.

Alexander stepped back slowly, his expression unreadable.

He didn't resist.

Didn't react.

Because he already knew—

This wasn't random.

This was planned.

Adrian laughed softly, even as officers grabbed his arms.

"You called them?" he asked, amused.

Alexander said nothing.

But his silence…

Was answer enough.

Handcuffs clicked.

Cold.

Final.

Adrian was forced to his knees.

Yet—

He was still smiling.

"You always did like playing clean at the end," he muttered.

Alexander stepped closer.

His voice low.

Controlled.

"No."

A pause.

"I just learned from my mistakes."

For the first time—

Adrian's smile faltered slightly.

The Aftermath

The docks were cleared within minutes.

Police vehicles lined the area.

Suspects detained.

Weapons confiscated.

Order restored.

Alexander stood aside, watching it all.

Calm.

But inside—

Everything was still burning.

A senior officer approached him.

"Mr. Knight, we'll take it from here."

Alexander nodded slightly.

"Make sure he doesn't walk free."

The officer gave a firm look.

"He won't."

The Courtroom

Days later—

The courtroom was filled.

Press.

Lawyers.

Officials.

Everyone wanted to see it.

The fall of Adrian Voss.

Isabella sat quietly beside Alexander.

Her hand resting in his.

This time—

She wasn't afraid.

Because this wasn't darkness.

This was justice.

Across the room—

Adrian was brought in.

In chains.

But still—

That same look in his eyes.

Unbroken.

Unapologetic.

The trial moved quickly.

Evidence stacked against him:

Illegal operations.

Fraud.

Conspiracy.

Every crime laid out clearly.

Every move exposed.

Alexander had made sure of it.

When the judge finally spoke—

The room fell silent.

"Adrian Voss…"

A pause.

"You are hereby sentenced to life imprisonment."

A sharp intake of breath filled the room.

Final.

Absolute.

Adrian didn't react immediately.

Then slowly—

He turned his head.

Looking directly at Alexander.

A faint smile appeared.

"This isn't over…" he mouthed silently.

But this time—

Alexander didn't react.

Because for the first time—

He didn't feel anger.

He felt…

Closure.

Outside the Court

The air felt lighter.

Isabella stepped outside beside him.

For a moment—

Neither of them spoke.

Then—

She exhaled deeply.

"It's over…"

Alexander looked at her.

Really looked at her.

"Yes."

She smiled softly.

Relief.

Peace.

Something they hadn't felt in a long time.

She stepped closer.

"You didn't lose yourself," she said quietly.

His expression softened.

"Because of you."

Her heart warmed.

And without hesitation—

She wrapped her arms around him.

He held her tightly.

Not out of fear.

Not out of protection.

But out of love.

Real.

Steady.

Unbreakable.

Back Home

That evening—

The house felt different again.

But this time—

Not heavy.

Not watched.

Just… peaceful.

Their daughter laughed as she ran through the living room.

Isabella watched her with a soft smile.

Alexander stood beside her.

Silent.

But calm.

"We're okay," she whispered.

He nodded.

"We always will be."

For the first time in a long time—

He believed it.

End of Arc

Some wars end with destruction.

Others…

End with justice.

And for Alexander Knight—

This one ended with something even stronger.

A reason to never return to the man he used to be.

Because now—

He had something worth protecting the right way.

A family.

A future.

A life built on love… not fear.
