Chapter 340: Pure Admiration? The Charm of the Eldest Sister
"Your performance was truly embarrassing," Hermione said, looking at Harry and Ron with exasperation. "I should have gone with Ginny; standing with you two was a mistake."
"What happened?" Fred asked, interested.
"Aaron also came to see the Quidditch World Cup."
"Gaius is here too?" George was a bit surprised. "Should we go say hello to him?"
"It's not just him; his sister is here too."
"He has a sister?" The twin brothers exchanged glances, as if understanding something, and looked at Harry and Ronmeaningfully. "His sister must be very beautiful, right?"
"I don't know." Harry shook his head, his face slightly flushed. "She was wearing a half-mask, but… how should I put it?"
"That sense of mystery is what's most attractive," Ron said seriously.
"I don't deny that his sister's first impression was perfect, but…" Hermione paused, then looked at the two with disdain. "But you two were too exaggerated; your eyes couldn't leave her the first time you saw her."
"We were appreciating her." x2
Harry and Ron said in unison.
They had some dignity; what was wrong with pure appreciation?
The Weasley brothers looked at each other, both somewhat interested in Aaron's sister, whom they had never met.
Harry and his two companions brought enough water, and Mr. Weasley began to make a fire for cooking.
However, he didn't use magic but kept trying to use Mugglematches, and it took him an hour to get the fire burning brightly.
Their booked tent was close to the stadium, and members of the Ministry of Magic would greet Mr. Weasley when they passed by.
Harry and Hermione also had their eyes opened. With Mr. Weasley's introduction, they met many people in just one hour... Meanwhile, on the other side.
Aaron and the others returned to their tent after a tour of the venue.
Adrian spent hundreds of Galleons buying many souvenirs for her two younger brothers. Although Aaron and Leon both agreed it wasn't necessary, it was hard to refuse their elder sister's kindness.
Gines prepared a lavish lunch, and while eating, patiently explained the rules and instructions of the Quidditch World Cup to the three of them.
The two teams playing tonight were Bulgaria and Ireland. The Bulgarian team was slightly weaker than the Irish team, but they had one of the best Seekers, Viktor Krum.
"Which team are you two rooting for?" Adrian asked.
"I don't know; I don't really care about these things," Aaronsaid casually.
"I support Ireland," Leon said thoughtfully. "Although Krumis excellent and even has the ability to turn the tide, large-scale matches like this depend on overall strength."
"I think so too," Adrian agreed, nodding.
Just then, a familiar voice came from outside the tent. Turning to look, Arthur Weasley was at the front, followed by Harry, Hermione, and several of his own children.
Originally, Bill, Charlie, and Percy Weasley should have been there too, but they had just Apparated and were famished, so they were busy filling their stomachs.
"Excuse me, Aaron, I suppose we can come in, right?"
"Of course," Aaron walked over and lifted the tent flap. "Mr. Weasley, please come in and make yourselves at home."
However, as soon as they entered, their eyes involuntarily widened.
Other people's tents were huge, with full utilities and separate rooms, and even the ceiling could connect to the sky outside. But their tent was an old-fashioned three-bedroom, and there were some hard-to-ignore peculiar smells.
Comparing them, the sense of disparity immediately surged.
"This… it's exactly like a Muggle dwelling," Arthur said with great interest, his eyes constantly surveying everything inside the tent. For a Wizard who loved Muggles, everything before him held immense appeal.
"Ordinary Muggles can't afford a house like this," Hermioneremarked, feeling that this tent was much better than her own home.
"You flatter me; Wizards also need to keep up with the times."
"Gaius, this… is your sister, right?" Fred and George looked at Adrian. At this moment, they finally understood why Ronand Harry had been so distracted.
They had met many people, but they had never seen a girl with such outstanding temperament; she was simply stunning.
Adrian smiled faintly, nodded gently, "Hello, I'm Adrian."
"Fred Weasley, this is George. We're twin brothers, currently studying at Hogwarts, and we're Beaters for the Gryffindorteam…"
"Oh!" Hermione sighed helplessly. "Truly brothers, just like Ron."
"I understand," Ginny teased. "Or rather, this reaction is quite normal."
Upon hearing this, the brothers' voices abruptly stopped.
They looked at each other, both seeing a hint of embarrassment in the other's eyes.
Their skin was thicker than Harry and Ron's; they couldn't simply say they were just appreciating her.
"And this is?" Arthur asked, curiously looking at Leon.
"Aaron's second brother, just call me Leon," Leon explained casually, then lowered his head and silently continued reading his book.
After a brief introduction, the Weasley family, being quite familiar, began to discuss their knowledge of the Quidditch World Cup.
Arthur, being a member of the Ministry of Magic with extensive connections, understood the Ministry of Magic's arrangements for this world-class event better than most Wizards.
Aaron and Leon didn't care about this, but Adrian seemed to take it very seriously. She invited Arthur to a seat by the window to discuss in detail, and took out a notebook to start recording.
"When did sister get interested in this kind of thing?" Leon asked, puzzled.
"You ask me, who should I ask?" Aaron rolled his eyes. "But big sister never does meaningless things; she must have her own considerations."
"You need to tell me that?"
"Aaron." George and Fred carefully lowered their voices and asked, "If you don't mind me asking, how old is your sister?"
"Fifteen, she was born on Christmas," Aaron said, then looked at the two meaningfully. "Why are you asking? You're not interested in my sister, are you?"
"No."
"How could we be?"
The brothers immediately waved their hands, but seeing the playful look in the other's eyes, they felt an inexplicable sense of trepidation.
"Alright! We'll compete fairly," Fred promised.
"Exactly."
"Pfft! Hahaha!" Leon couldn't help but cover his stomach and burst into laughter. "There are countless people who like Adrian, but ninety-nine percent of them only dare to think about it, then give up on their own.
The remaining one percent only dare to have a crush, which is what you call unrequited love.
You two are quite refreshing among these people."
"So, do we have a chance?" Fred asked nervously.
"Given that you have the courage to ask, I won't hide it from you and will tell you the truth," Leon said seriously. "No, you don't have a single chance.
One of my sister's basic conditions for choosing a partner—and note, I said *one of* the basic conditions—
is to defeat her when the age difference is less than three years. So… you might as well give up early!"
"We meet the age requirement," George said thoughtfully. "As for strength… we might not be unable to defeat her."
"Do you believe that?" Leon asked Aaron.
"I don't believe it," Aaron said very bluntly. "I'm not trying to discourage you, you're already excellent among your peers, but there's absolutely no comparison with her."
"That's too hurtful!" Fred said, somewhat unconvinced.
"The two of you combined might not even be able to beat me," Leon added another blow. "And Aaron and I, or rather, all of us brothers combined, can't beat her. Big sister has always kept us firmly under her thumb since childhood."
"It's not that exaggerated, is it?"
Hermione interjected, and Ron and Harry also expressed doubt about Leon's words.
They had some understanding of Aaron's strength, and if Adrian was even more formidable than him, then ordinary people wouldn't even have the qualifications to pursue her.
"It's exactly that exaggerated," Leon said, getting more animated. "Even your Principal, Dumbledore, the strongest white Wizard of this century, it's only a matter of time before Adrian surpasses him.
She's just too outstanding. We siblings will probably have to worry in the future, what if she can't get married and ends up alone…"
Bang!
A purple beam of light suddenly struck Leon's back.
Adrian snapped her fingers unhurriedly, and a tornado swept Leon into the air, spinning wildly.
"Sister, I was wrong… I won't dare again, let me down…"
Adrian ignored the pleas for mercy and casually continued to consult Arthur about the history of the Quidditch World Cup.
"See?" Aaron spread his hands. "I dare say that even the Professors at Hogwarts might not be her match."
Gulp!
Everyone collectively swallowed, if their strength wasn't up to par, they really couldn't pursue a girl like her.
"Um…" Harry chuckled, looking at Leon, who was almost rolling his eyes in mid-air. "Is this really appropriate?"
"Don't worry, it's fine," Aaron said, accustomed to it. "This isn't the first time. My sister actually has a very good personality, it's just that some people have loose tongues.
If he could learn from me, he wouldn't have been disciplined so many times."
Harry opened his mouth, but remembering how he had turned Aunt Marge into a balloon and sent her floating into the sky last year, he couldn't say anything.
"Excuse me, is Weasley here?"
A middle-aged man's voice came from outside the tent, sounding particularly excited.
"It sounds like Ludo Bagman," Arthur said, smiling apologetically. "He's the Head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports; he must be looking for me."
Adrian pondered for a moment, snapped her fingers, and placed Leon onto the sofa.
"Uncle Gines, please let him in!"
"Yes."
Phew!
Leon took several deep breaths before he managed to recover.
He gave Aaron a resentful look. What happened to standing together?
Aaron shrugged. Who could he blame but himself? Who told him he couldn't control that mouth of his!
