The next day at school, Sharon felt tired.
Between assignments, studying, and everything going on in her head, she hadn't slept well at all.
She rested her head on her desk before class started.
"Rough night?" Dylan's voice came from beside her.
"I'm fine," she muttered.
"You don't look fine."
Sharon sat up. "I just have a lot to do."
Dylan didn't say anything for a moment.
Then he reached into his bag and placed something on her desk.
A chocolate bar.
Sharon blinked. "What's this?"
"Energy," he said simply. "You need it."
She stared at him.
"You didn't have to do that."
"I know," he shrugged. "But I wanted to."
For a second, Sharon didn't know what to say.
"Thanks," she said softly.
Dylan gave her a small smile.
And somehow, that small gesture meant more than she expected.
