[Ding!]
[Task unlocked]
[Welcome to your new home in the corpseforest!]
[Now that you're here, you've unlocked a new main task in the forest]
[Operation: Make this forest your home!]
[You'll get subsequent tasks to help you domesticate this forest into your home! Follow these tasks effectively to make the best of this land]
[You never know, it might end up becoming your new tribe!]
Sunnie blinked, so she was making a tribe out of this evil forest now?!
It didn't look like a bad idea, but the place didn't seem like somewhere she could make a home out of! It was an abandoned evil forest!
But she guessed she'd have to try something at least with the system's guidance.
---
"We can still live here..." Sunnie forced a smile as she made her way into the cave, jumping over the bones and avoiding the smell that reeked.
Her beast husbands watched her as she placed the stick at a spot on the wall, allowing the fire to illuminate most parts of the cave.
She turned. "We could do some cleanup and we're good to go."
They stood there watching as Sunnie summoned up the courage to push the bones out. She got a stick and brushed them all aside to the outside.
The husbands watched, surprised. They couldn't believe seeing the female working. They watched her sweep up the place with the stick and then begin searching the room.
"The female is suddenly hardworking..." Luka observed. The original host they knew didn't work at all. She was too slow to do so.
Karl folded his arms, his expression was cold. "She's acting strange." He didn't seem happy with her at all.
Sunnie had checked for another space in the cave. She managed to find two more spaces in the cave. They weren't in the best shape, so she used her sticks to sweep them up at least.
Her husbands watched her, shocked and impressed. They watched as she cleaned up the place and brushed these bones outside.
She didn't even bother asking for help or whatsoever, she simply did her stuff effectively.
She was done for the night as she said, "That should do for now. Maybe tomorrow we can do something more detailed." She smiled as she stared at them.
They still had their eyes on her, intrigued and surprised.
"Let's rest for today," she said with a smile as she turned.
[Ding!]
[Your beast husbands have been moved with curiosity and intrigue]
[Reward: + 200 heart coins]
Sunnie sighed. She guessed they weren't too moved for their affection percentage to increase.
The night was cold, so a strong breeze pushed in.
Sunnie hugged herself as the chill ran through her body. She looked outside. "The cave is surely going to be cold tonight..." She looked around, her husbands were clearly feeling the cold too but they were acting all strong.
She sighed, shaking her head. "And we don't have any firewood to keep warm or anything," she bit her lower lip.
[Ding!]
[New Task Available!]
[Go and find some firewood to warm up the place!]
[Reward; + 500 heart coins!]
[Tip; Getting your beast husbands to come with you increases your chances of increasing their affection percentage]
Sunnie blinked. She couldn't believe she was given a task out of this!
She accepted the task anyway. She needed warmth. So the 500 heart coins would be a bonus.
Sunnie turned and smiled at her husbands. It was time to use her ultimate cuteness to win them over to go with her!
She blinked at them. "I want to get some firewood, so please come with me dear husbands."
"..."
The husbands stared at each other and then turned, making their way into the cave room in the corner.
They all left, except the merman.
She gasped. Ungrateful brats! She couldn't believe these husbands didn't like their wife at all.
They were really cruel as the rumours had it! She guessed she'd have to break their cold hearts soon to tame them into loving husbands!
She stared at the merman. "I know you'll be loyal..."
"I just want to explore the new land for knowledge. Don't overthink," he said firmly.
Sunnie's smile faded. "Sure. Whatever. Let's go?"
---
The two of them were already gone as the rest of the beast husbands lay there in the cave room.
Karl was sitting on the ground, picking amongst his apples which to eat first. Eris was fixing his pretty hair and furry red fox tail.
Zayn lay there against a rock, arms folded and eyes closed. Preparing to sleep off while Karl flew up to a rock on the ceiling, also laying there to sleep.
There was silence before Luka said, "Don't you think we should have gone with her?"
None of them responded.
"Azure went with her. So she'll be safe," Eris said as Luka slowly nodded.
"But .." Luka thought again, pouting slightly. "Am I the only one who thinks the female has changed a lot? She's.. different."
"It's obvious," Eris agreed. "I think she has grown more interesting now... you can't predict what different things she'll do now."
Luka nodded. "Mmmm. So true. And the way she defended us back then..." He was silent for a while and then sighed.
"She's probably pretending," Karl said from above. "She's just like them all. She doesn't like any of us. She's just pretending so she can leave us soon. Don't fall for it."
Luka bit his lower lip with a nod. "True." They had already learnt never to trust anyone easily, no matter how good the person was to them.
"And are we really going to be staying here with her? For how long?" Eris asked.
Zayn still had his eyes closed as he responded, "Probably until she is done doing what she wants and gives up. I'm curious to see what new game she's playing. I'd like to see how far she plays this new game."
He said with a cold smirk. Eris too nodded in agreement.
They were curious about the games of the new Sunnie. So they'd like to see what she's up to and how far she can take it!
