Jay's POV
Keifer has invited all of us for a night out.
I pleadingly got permission from kuya and Aries has to drop me up.
The gates opened slowly.
I stepped out of the car, staring at the massive mansion in front of me.
The main doors opened.
And there he was.
Keifer.
Standing there like he had been waiting the whole time.
My heart did that stupid thing again.
Aries glanced between us. "She's here. I'm leaving."
Keifer nodded. "Thanks."
Aries looked at me once more. "Take care."
"…You too," I said softly.
And then he was gone.
Keifer's POV
She looked… different.
Standing in front of my house, slightly nervous but still trying to act confident.
Cute.
"Come in," I said.
She walked in slowly, looking around.
"Okay… wow."
I smirked. "Impressed?"
"A little?" she admitted. "No, a lot."
I stepped closer. "Good."
She turned toward me—and suddenly we were way closer than expected.
Silence.
Just us.
Her eyes flickered to my lips.
Danger.
"Everyone will come in some time," I said quietly.
She nodded… but didn't move away.
"Hmm."
That sound.
Yeah, I'm done for.
Jay's POV
Why is he standing so close?
Why am I not moving?
Bad idea.
Very bad idea.
"Keifer…" I started.
"Yeah?"
"You're too close."
"I know."
He didn't step back.
Instead, his hand slowly came up, brushing a strand of hair away from my face.
My breath hitched.
"This is unfair," I whispered.
"What is?"
"The way you look at me."
He smiled slightly. "How do I look at you?"
"Like…" I hesitated. "…like I already belong to you."
His expression changed.
Not joking anymore.
"Maybe you do," he said softly.
Okay.
That did it.
I grabbed his shirt slightly and pulled him closer.
"Careful," I warned, "don't say things you can't handle."
His eyes darkened just a little.
"Try me."
And before I could overthink—
He kissed me.
This wasn't like before.
This wasn't quick.
This was slow… deep… like he was actually trying to understand me.
My hand moved to his shoulder, holding on without realizing.
For a second, everything else disappeared.
No Yuri.
No past.
Just… him.
When we pulled away, my heart was racing.
"…We should stop," I whispered.
"Yeah," he said.
Neither of us moved.
Keifer's POV
Yeah.
We're not stopping.
Not yet.
I leaned in again, this time resting my forehead against hers.
"You're dangerous," I murmured.
She smirked softly. "You started it."
"I don't regret it."
"Good."
I was about to kiss her again—
"KEIFERRRRR OPEN THE DOORRRR—"
We both jumped apart.
Felix.
Of course.
Jay covered her face. "Oh my god."
I ran a hand through my hair. "Perfect timing."
Jay's POV
The door burst open.
"WE ARE HERE—"
Felix stopped mid-sentence.
Cin—wait, no, all boys. Right.
Felix stared at us.
Then at the distance between us.
Then back at us.
"…Did we interrupt something?"
David walked in behind him. "Obviously."
Calix smirked. "Very obviously."
Drew raised an eyebrow. "We came too early?"
I muttered, "No, you came at the worst time."
Felix grinned. "So something was happening—"
"Nothing was happening," Keifer said calmly.
Everyone: "Sure."
Keifer's POV
One by one, everyone entered.
Drew. Kit. Mayo. Denzel—who somehow acted older than all of us.
Edrix and Rory walked in together, already whispering about something.
Eman headed straight inside like he owned the kitchen. "I'll handle food."
Felix flopped on the couch. "This place is insane."
David nodded. "Rich people things."
I ignored them.
My focus?
Jay.
She was trying to act normal.
But every time our eyes met—
Yeah.
Not normal.
Jay's POV
This is torture.
Actual torture.
He keeps looking at me like that.
And everyone is here.
Felix suddenly sat up. "Game night?"
Mayo: "Already?"
Calix: "Why not."
Denzel crossed his arms. "Keep it controlled."
Felix: "No promises."
Keifer leaned toward me. "You joining?"
I smirked. "Depends."
"On?"
"If you're sitting next to me."
He didn't even hesitate. "Done."
Later
We all sat in the huge living room.
Laughter.
Noise.
Chaos.
Felix was losing every round.
David was judging everyone.
Calix was quietly winning.
Drew and Kit were arguing over rules.
Eman brought snacks like a savior.
For a moment…
Everything felt normal.
Safe.
But then—
I felt it again.
That thought.
Yuri.
I looked down.
Keifer nudged me slightly. "Hey."
I looked at him.
"You're thinking again," he said.
I sighed. "…Yeah."
He leaned closer, voice low enough that no one else heard.
"Don't."
"Not that easy."
"I know," he said, "but you're here now."
His hand brushed mine lightly.
Not obvious.
Just enough.
"You're safe."
My chest tightened.
Why does he always say the right thing…
Keifer's POV
She smiled slightly.
That's enough for me.
Felix suddenly shouted, "TRUTH OR DARE."
Everyone groaned.
"No," David said instantly.
"Yes," Felix insisted.
Calix smirked. "This will be fun."
Oh no.
Felix spun an imaginary bottle.
It landed on—
Jay.
Felix grinned like a villain. "Truth or dare?"
She crossed her arms. "Truth."
"BORING."
"Ask."
Felix leaned forward. "Are you and keifer official"
Silence.
Everyone looked at her.
Then at me.
Then back at her.
She glanced at me for a second.
Then smiled slightly.
"…Yes."
Felix screamed. "WH—"
She stood up. "That's one question only."
And walked away.
Jay's POV
I needed air.
Badly.
I stepped into the balcony.
Cool night breeze.
Finally.
Peace.
"Running away?" a voice came from behind.
I turned.
Keifer.
"Not running," I said. "Just thinking."
He walked closer. "About?"
"You."
He paused.
"…Good or bad?"
"Very bad," I teased.
He smirked. "Liar."
I stepped closer.
"So what if I am?"
He looked at me like he already knew the answer.
"Then prove it."
I didn't say anything.
Just leaned in—
And kissed him again.
Soft.
Slow.
Certain.
This time…
No interruptions.
