Chapter 287 - Chapter 287: Bounty Feature Unlocked

Chapter 287: Bounty Feature Unlocked

Everyone in the chat found themselves deeply curious about just how badly Thor had gotten beaten, that he'd actually resorted to begging Ethan for help.

Most of them had never met Thor personally, but from the exchange so far, it was clear enough this "Thor" wasn't from Earth — either an alien or some kind of god.

Curiosity buzzed through the group, everyone wondering just who on Earth could possibly defeat something that powerful.

The chat's mood had turned tense, expectant, everyone leaning in to see what was actually going on.

As if sensing the group's attention, a video pop-up suddenly appeared in the chat window on Thor's end.

Everyone rushed to click it open, eager for a look at Thor's current state.

Broke, Except for the Money: "Holy hell, what monster is THIS?! Who is that?! Thor, where the hell did you even go?"

His tone was thick with shock and disbelief, clearly rattled by Thor's current appearance.

Trying to Be Better sighed. "So THAT'S what gods look like, huh. Yeah, no, I don't want to be a god anymore."

Watching the scene unfold, Tobey-Peter instantly lost all interest in godhood. If looking like that was the price of divinity, he'd rather stay mortal for life — sure, he wasn't exactly a heartthrob himself, but compared to Thor on that screen, he was doing just fine!

Little Punk weighed in without a shred of tact: "Yikes, way too ugly. Actively dragging down this whole group's average hotness! Motion to have the group owner kick him out! A handsome guy like me shouldn't have to share space with something that ugly."

Deadpool's tone dripped with pure disdain, clearly unimpressed with Thor's current look.

Watching Thor on-screen, even Ethan blinked in surprise, unable to help a frown of his own. He couldn't really blame Tony and Deadpool for the roasting — Thor genuinely looked like a wreck right now.

His face had swollen up like a pig's head, mottled purple and blue, barely a trace of his usual handsome features left to recognize.

Ethan could just barely make out one of Thor's eyes; the other had swollen nearly shut.

The dashing red cape he always wore had been reduced to tattered scraps, barely more than a few ragged edges left.

Clearly, Thor had just come out of a brutal fight, and taken a serious beating in the process. Ethan could see rubble scattered all around him — the visible aftermath of the battle everywhere in frame.

Little Punk: "Turn that camera off, please, that's TOO ugly, I nearly shot myself just looking at it. Shame it wouldn't even kill me."

Broke, Except for the Money: "Yeah, seriously, point that thing somewhere else."

Reading the comments, Thor felt his fury and helplessness surge even harder. He spat out a mouthful of bloodied saliva, glaring daggers at the chat, silently swearing to himself.

These bastards. Absolute bastards, every one of them. I'll handle this myself. I refuse to give them anything more to laugh at.

He forced himself back onto his feet, body covered in wounds, but his eyes still burned with unshaken resolve.

He looked across at the two composed, unhurried Riders standing opposite him, and felt something fierce and unbowed stir back to life in his chest.

These two were simply too strong — he could tell plainly enough that neither of them had even fought him at full strength this whole time. They'd just been toying with him.

For a warrior like Thor, that realization stung worse than any physical blow.

What in the world had he actually gotten himself tangled up with? He'd naively assumed, going in, that he could hold his own against at least one of them evenly. Now it was becoming painfully clear that even giving everything he had, all he'd managed to earn was a beating.

Thor swore to himself this had to be the single worst day of his entire life — not only losing this badly, but now there was some inexplicable chat suddenly living rent-free in his head, and instead of helping, this whole crowd was busy roasting him for sport.

It was a blow to both body and spirit alike.

Meanwhile, back in the chat, everyone was now watching the live footage of the fight.

Broke, Except for the Money: "HA. Serves you right for picking a fight with Tsukasa. But who's that other Rider? Never seen that one before."

Watching the footage from his car, Tony's mood improved considerably at the sight of Tsukasa being the one dishing out the beating. He'd crossed paths with Tsukasa himself once before — lost too, of course, but that just proved it wasn't a matter of Tony being weak, so much as the opponent being on another level entirely.

Besides, Tony hadn't ended up looking anywhere near this rough after his own loss.

Before Thor could get a word of protest out, Tsukasa and Kaito rushed him again — perfectly synchronized, hammering him with a relentless combined assault.

Thor was batted around like a ball being kicked back and forth between them, utterly unable to fight back.

The chat's more knowledgeable members quickly clocked what was actually happening — both Riders were plainly just toying with him at this point.

Trying to Be Better: "I recognize the pink Rider. Who's the sky-blue one, though?"

Bros for Life: "Wow, these two Rider seniors are seriously strong — and how's the pink one able to transform into all these different other forms?"

Come Be My Family: "That sky-blue Rider is Kaito Kumon. Professional thief."

Wing Chun: "Their strength is genuinely formidable — I'm honestly not sure I'd fare any better against them myself."

Marvel's Most Beautiful Woman: "Their power goes far beyond what you're seeing right now. I saw the pink one summon a whole squad of other Riders just yesterday."

Bratty Spider-Man: "Our universe has never had Kamen Riders like this! Way cooler-looking than my Spider-Man suit!"

Bros for Life: "Wait, aren't the Rider belts only supposed to work for Ethan? Did you give these two theirs, Mr. Cross? If so, shouldn't they be on our side?"

Come Be My Family: "Nope — I didn't give either of them their Drivers. All I can tell you is, they're not from this world.

There are plenty of Kamen Riders from other worlds out there. These two, specifically, are up near the very top of the whole Kamen Rider lineup — so Thor losing to them isn't exactly surprising.

That said, I know these two well enough to say — they're not going to actually kill Thor. My guess is Thor said something to set them off, and they're just teaching him a lesson."

Broke, Except for the Money: "Serves him right, honestly. Sounds like these 'god' types bring this stuff on themselves. Always with the 'mortal this, mortal that' — hard not to hate a guy that arrogant!"

Come Be My Family: "Tony, you've got some nerve. You're literally the most condescending one in this whole chat."

Not the God of Thunder: "The lot of you — if you're not going to help, at least shut up about it! Talk's cheap. Any of you want to go a round with these two yourselves? Or are you all just going to sit there running your mouths from Midgard?"

「DING! Group member detected in distress — bounty issued!」

「SAVE PRIVATE THOR THE GOD OF THUNDER!」

「Reward: 50 Friend Points!」
