Chapter 370 - 370

The man standing outside the window, watching the approaching storm, turned around. It was indeed Spencer. His face was as aged as ever, but his physique was excellent and strong.

"My children, welcome home!" Spencer sneered.

Wesker's expression was agitated; it was the look of someone seeing a mortal enemy, not a father reuniting with his son.

Alex's expression was indifferent, even carrying a hint of disgust.

Eddie gripped his wife's hand, "Don't be afraid, I'm here for everything."

Alex gave her husband a smile, "I'm fine, don't worry. I just saw a pile of feces and felt a bit nauseous."

At that moment, the butler Patrick wheeled in a serving cart, placed the meal on the table, and then, holding a napkin, stood quietly to the side, ignoring the strange atmosphere in the room.

Alex, wearing high heels, walked over confidently, pulling her husband to sit down. "Spencer, I didn't expect you to be so tenacious. Did you specifically summon us here? Do you need to settle your affairs before death?"

Seeing this, Wesker also walked over and sat down. He was equally confused about what scheme this old devil Spencer was cooking up.

Spencer didn't mind, instead sitting down and playing the host of the castle. "You are all my children, my most prized creations. Eddie, the woman behind you is Jessica, George's wife. Not bad; you actually resurrected her."

Suddenly, Jessica kicked the table flying and, with incredible speed, delivered a kick that sent Spencer hurtling away.

Thud! A jarring sound rang out as Spencer slammed into the wall, shattering even the solid blue bricks. It was clear how hard Jessica had struck him.

Spencer was utterly bewildered. He couldn't believe that Jessica had completely disregarded convention; her employer hadn't even spoken, yet she, a bodyguard, had attacked first!

At that moment, the man next to Spencer lifted his head. It was Marcus himself!

This Marcus's gaze was incredibly cold, giving off a sense of familiarity.

Eddie thought for a moment. It seemed this was the same right-hand man he had encountered in Salazar's castle —a mutation achieved by using the Plaga parasite on insect genes. He possessed extreme loyalty and outstanding combat ability, making him one of the few successful test subjects.

"You! Die!" Marcus lunged forward, moving at a speed almost impossible for the naked eye to track.

Eddie was one step ahead, using his magnetic field ability to fling Marcus against the ceiling, then violently smash him onto the floor. He repeatedly slammed him up and down, either against the ceiling or the floor.

Even Marcus couldn't withstand such violent impacts and lay motionless on the ground.

"It seems you don't take me seriously at all. Perhaps you should inquire about the consequences of provoking me." Eddie sneered, sitting back in his chair, his expression utterly arrogant.

This display dumbfounded Wesker. How could this possibly conform to scientific principles?

Chapter 586: The Truth Behind Their Schemes

"All of this is thanks to you. If I hadn't played dumb around someone as sinister as you, wouldn't I have been killed by you too? Tsk tsk tsk, Marcus? Should I call him Marcus, or Leech Queen, or perhaps Insect-Man Marcus?" Eddie sneered.

"He is indeed Marcus, a Marcus loyal to me. Cough, cough. I could have been the God of this world; you are all my creations. Heh heh, Eddie, did you really think you came to the Western Federation merely to inherit Marcus's legacy?" Spencer sneered.

Eddie waved his hand. "I'm not interested in the past; I just need to know that I am human. Alright, old man, stop rambling. I won't become a lunatic like you. Dying men usually speak kindly, but as for you, I choose to skip that part."

Click. Alex lit a cigarette. With her arms crossed, high heels, pure white suit, and golden bangs, she possessed a dashing handsomeness that men envied and women adored. "Spencer, was the Wesker Project merely about creating servants for your so-called ambition?"

"Haha, of course a God needs servants. It is your honor to have been chosen by me." Spencer no longer concealed it, admitting it openly.

Wesker clenched his fists, his expression becoming fierce. "You said we were created? But Brandon said my parents were still alive! Is that true?"

Spencer's breathing was ragged, yet bizarrely, tentacles extended from his body, beginning to repair his injuries and missing parts. It was already astonishing that he had survived Jessica's furious kick.

Since delivering the initial kick, Jessica had stood silently behind Eddie, her beautiful eyes fixed intensely on the enemy before her.

It was Spencer's decision years ago that trapped the famous architect George to die in the Mansion. Jessica was injected with the Progenitor Virus Alpha strain and fell into a state of suspended animation, while Lisa, miraculously fused with the virus through sheer stubborn will, enduring thirty-two years of torment.

If one only looked at Jessica's beautiful face, she appeared to be no older than thirty. Who would imagine that this beautiful woman had been asleep for over thirty years, making her true age quite startling?

Age, in Eddie's view, was no barrier at all. As long as the money was right, everything was negotiable.

Repaired by the controlling parasite within his body, Spencer began to stand up. He had become somewhat grotesque but remained lucid and maintained a human form. "Parents? What the hell does Brandon know? That guy was no good either. He knew about my immortality plan and was constantly spying on it."

"Did you think I closed the Africa laboratory merely due to funding issues? It was because I didn't want to pave the way for that brat. No one can control me. I am the God of this world, the creator of the New Man!" Spencer laughed maniacally.

"I'm asking one more time: where are my parents?" Wesker pulled out the Albert Gun, his voice trembling, as if he might lose control and start a massacre at any second.

Spencer sneered, "They died long ago. I extracted genes from over a thousand highly intelligent men and women, then used genetics to adjust all your intellects to the maximum. After the project was complete, of course, I killed them to silence them. What's the point of asking such a stupid question? You didn't actually think you had parents, did you? Even if you did, it's me. I am your father!"

Wesker could no longer contain his rage. The hope of finding his biological parents, which had sustained him, was now completely shattered, and he erupted. "Die!"

Bang bang bang! The bullets flew, but Spencer dodged them perfectly, not a single shot landing.

Before Wesker could react, Spencer grabbed him by the neck and lifted him into the air.

"My child, perhaps you don't realize how tempting immortality is. Do you know the confusion that comes when life reaches its end? The New Man? Heh heh, if you don't have the capability, how can you rule those New Men? You are too naive, too disappointing!" Spencer finished speaking and moved to finish off Wesker.

Boom! At the critical moment, Alex delivered a kick with her high heel, causing Spencer to stumble. Wesker seized the opportunity, using a knee strike to break free from the chokehold.

"That explains why I could never find my parents despite all my investigation. So I truly was created, and the affliction on my body is your masterpiece?" Alex's beautiful eyes were icy cold.

Although she had long known the truth, when the mastermind spoke those words, Alex still couldn't resist the urge to kill Spencer.

This creation involved mixing random male and female genes and then artificially cultivating the result. It was comparable to the situation with Alexia and her brother —essentially, orphans without parents.

They were arguably worse off than orphans; orphans could at least search for their biological parents, but they had no one to find.

Spencer didn't care, merely shaking his arm. "Impressive strength. Do you think this is enough to defeat me? I am immortal; I will live forever. I have found the path to eternal life!"

Outside the ancient castle, a heavy downpour had begun. Chris and Leon had teamed up and broken into the castle, followed by a large number of BSAA squad members and a joint investigation team.

Spencer's longevity plan had been exposed. Although eternal life was attractive, other regions were more interested in the plan's potential to create New Men with superior abilities.

A type of super-soldier capable of independent judgment and thought, who was both loyal and highly efficient.

The spectacle of the confrontation continued in the viewing platform hall.

Eddie slowly stood up, a cruel smile playing on his lips. "I want to tell you a truth: the serum I gave you back then was meant to burn potential. Human potential is vast; even those who die of old age possess immense potential."

"The only reason you're alive now is that your potential hasn't finished burning up. By my estimation, you will die within two years. Your cells will be like ashes, scattered by the wind. Do you often feel disoriented? That's a sign that your brain cells are starting to weather away. In other words, you are beyond saving!" Eddie stated cruelly.

Chapter 587: Alex's Inner Turmoil

Spencer's face turned incredibly pale, and he began to scream furiously, seemingly unwilling to accept this reality. "You ungrateful wretch! I fed you and housed you, and this is how you treat me? And you, Alex, you bitch, may you both die horrible deaths!"

The frantic Spencer could only resort to vicious curses, like a keyboard warrior in impotent rage.

Alex, however, smiled happily. She linked arms with her husband; Eddie had won this round for her, and she had officially bid farewell to the past. "Thank you, darling."

"Don't mention it, I'm your husband after all!" Eddie lifted his head proudly. What makes a man most proud? It's standing up for his woman and protecting the person he loves.

Compared to the couple displaying their affection, Wesker stood rooted to the spot, stunned. "Spencer, you wicked bastard, you deserve to die!"
