Vael's POV
The day Mira and Kai arrived, the house felt brighter the moment their car pulled up. I was standing by the front window with Lirael in my arms when I saw them. Lirien was already at the door before I could say anything. His whole face lit up.
The second Mira stepped out of the car, Lirien ran forward and pulled her into a tight hug. Kai followed right behind, laughing as he was pulled into the same embrace. Davis and I walked over with the other two babies. Warm greetings filled the air. Soft laughter mixed with the sound of the triplets making small happy noises.
"You're finally here!" Lirien said, his voice full of happiness. "I missed you both so much."
Mira cupped his face with both hands and smiled widely. "We wouldn't miss this for anything. Look at you… you're glowing. Marriage looks good on you already."
Kai turned to me and Davis, clapping us both on the shoulders with friendly strength. "You two better take good care of him. We're watching. Closely."
