Jax's POV
We got home just as the sky was turning soft purple. The house felt quiet and safe after the busy day at the clothing store and the fun at the beach. Theo locked the door behind us and dropped his keys on the table with a soft clink. I stretched my arms above my head, still feeling the leftover energy from swimming and laughing with everyone. My skin still carried the faint smell of salt water and sunshine.
"I'm starving," I said, walking toward the kitchen.
Theo smiled and followed me. "Me too. Let's make something simple."
We cooked together without much talking at first. The easy silence felt comfortable, like we already knew each other's movements. Theo made pasta while I cut vegetables and heated some bread. Every now and then our hands brushed, and each small touch reminded me of the changing room earlier — the way he had squeezed my ass and told me exactly what he wanted. The memory stayed warm under my skin, making my stomach flutter.
