Chapter 90 - The Corrupted Police Part Six

Norway looked around the street.

Then at Matthew.

Then at the evidence scattered across the ground.

His decision was made.

"Arrest Captain Matthew."

"And his men."

The street fell silent.

Matthew's eyes widened.

"What?"

Norway pointed at him.

"Free the others."

Immediately—

Norway's officers moved.

The handcuffs were removed from Saito and his crew.

At the same time—

Matthew's men found themselves surrounded.

"What is this?!"

One officer tried to resist.

Only to have a rifle pointed at his chest.

Matthew looked around wildly.

His control over the situation was disappearing.

Fast.

Then suddenly—

he snapped.

"Screw this!"

He drew his pistol.

And pointed it directly at Saito.

Everything happened in an instant.

BANG!

Before he could fire—

Norway lunged forward.

THUD!

The two captains crashed into the dirt.

Matthew's pistol flew from his hand.

The surrounding officers immediately rushed in.

Matthew struggled.

"Get off me!"

Norway pinned him down.

"And that's another piece of proof."

Matthew's face twisted with rage.

Norway calmly pulled out a pair of handcuffs.

Click.

One wrist.

Click.

The other.

It was over.

Matthew stared at the sky.

Realizing he had lost.

Norway stood up.

Then looked at his officers.

"Take him away."

The officers nodded.

They pulled Matthew to his feet.

One by one—

his men were escorted toward the police carriages.

Matthew continued glaring at Saito.

As if trying to burn a hole through him.

Saito simply waved.

"Have a nice trip."

Matthew nearly exploded.

The officers practically dragged him away.

Nearby—

Kaito smirked.

Rin laughed.

Bomb folded his arms.

Alya let out a relieved breath.

Malfoy looked like he couldn't believe any of this was real.

And Fanny watched as the man who had terrorized her family for years was finally taken away.

For the first time in a long while—

the road in front of the bar felt peaceful.

The police carriages began moving.

Matthew and his men were loaded inside under heavy guard.

The chaos that had filled the road only minutes ago was finally over.

Norway walked toward Saito.

The two stopped a few steps apart.

Saito grinned.

"Good one there, mate."

Norway stared at him.

Then replied flatly:

"I hate you."

Saito blinked.

"...What?"

Norway pointed toward the police carriages.

"Let's go."

Several officers immediately climbed aboard.

Meanwhile, Norway remained standing in front of Saito.

His expression serious as ever.

"If you cause any trouble."

"If you endanger people's lives."

He pointed directly at Saito.

"I'll take you down myself."

Saito groaned.

"Jeez, man."

"No need for that tone."

Norway sighed.

Then looked toward Malfoy.

The fox beastman was standing beside Fanny and Alya.

Norway pointed toward the Blue Scarf crew.

"Are they causing any problems?"

Malfoy immediately shook his head.

"No, sir."

Norway raised an eyebrow.

"Are you sure?"

Malfoy nodded.

"Yes."

"They've been protecting my family."

For a moment—

Norway was silent.

Then he looked back at Saito.

And sighed again.

"You got lucky, Blue Scarf."

Saito smiled.

"I hear that a lot."

Norway ignored the joke.

He turned around and started walking toward his carriage.

Then stopped.

Without looking back.

"We'll meet again, Blue Scarf."

Saito placed his hands behind his head.

"Probably."

Norway shook his head.

Then continued walking.

A few moments later—

the police carriages rolled away down the road.

Taking Matthew and his men with them.

The dust slowly settled.

And for the first time since arriving in Jaha Town—

the trouble surrounding Malfoy's bar was finally gone.

Fanny looked at Saito.

Then at the blue scarf symbol pinned to her clothes.

Then back at Saito again.

This time—

there was no anger in her eyes.

Only quiet respect.

Inside the bar—

the atmosphere was completely different from before.

No police.

No threats.

No gunshots.

Just customers enjoying their drinks and conversations.

Malfoy walked toward the Blue Scarf crew carrying several bottles of wine.

He carefully placed them on the table.

"There you go."

Then he smiled.

"It's on the house."

Saito's eyes immediately lit up.

"Now we're talking."

Malfoy chuckled and returned to the counter.

Saito grabbed a bottle and began filling everyone's cups.

Then raised his own.

"Alright."

"Let's enjoy ourselves, everyone."

The crew raised their cups.

Clink.

And drank together.

Saito sighed happily.

"Now this feels like a vacation."

Bomb nodded.

"Finally."

Rin immediately emptied half his cup.

"Best chapter so far."

Alya laughed.

Meanwhile—

Saito pointed across the table.

"Also."

"We should thank Kaito."

The assassin looked up from his drink.

Saito grinned.

"For making all of this easier."

Kaito shrugged.

"It was your order."

Saito pointed at himself.

Then smiled proudly.

"So."

"I get the credit?"

Silence.

Alya shook her head.

"No."

Bomb took another drink.

"No."

Rin grinned.

"No."

Saito looked wounded.

"Wow."

"That was immediate."

Kaito smirked and took a sip.

"You don't get credit for ordering someone else to do the work."

Saito placed a hand over his chest.

"That's cruel."

Rin laughed.

Bomb nodded.

"Accurate though."

Saito sighed dramatically.

"I risk my life."

"I protect people."

"I save bars."

"And this is how my crew treats me."

Alya smiled.

"Yes."

Saito pointed at her.

"Especially you."

The entire table burst into laughter.

For the first time since arriving in Jaha Town—

the Blue Scarf crew could finally relax without worrying about what would happen next.

The laughter slowly died down.

The crew continued drinking and chatting.

Then—

Fanny approached the table.

Slowly.

Almost hesitantly.

Saito noticed her first.

"What's wrong?"

Fanny didn't answer immediately.

Instead—

her fingers brushed against the Blue Scarf symbol pinned to her clothes.

The one she had borrowed from Alya.

Saito followed her gaze.

Then immediately understood.

"Oh."

He looked toward Bomb.

"Bomb."

"You carry some, right?"

Bomb nodded.

Without a word—

he reached into one of his pouches and pulled out a folded Blue Scarf symbol.

Then handed it to Saito.

Saito took it.

Turned toward Fanny.

And held it out.

"Here you go."

Fanny blinked.

Looking between Saito and the symbol.

"You sure?"

Saito nodded.

"Yep."

For a moment—

Fanny simply stared at it.

Then slowly accepted it.

Carefully.

As if it were something valuable.

Saito pointed toward the symbol she was already wearing.

"The one you're holding belongs to Alya."

Fanny immediately looked embarrassed.

"Oh."

Saito smirked.

Then looked at Alya.

"And Alya."

The inventor froze.

"Yes, Captain?"

"You should stop losing these things."

Alya scratched her cheek awkwardly.

"Sorry, Captain."

The table laughed.

Even Fanny smiled slightly.

A very small smile.

But it was there.

Then she looked down at the Blue Scarf symbol in her hands.

The symbol of a gang she once hated.

And for the first time—

she wore it proudly.

Fanny carefully looked at the Blue Scarf symbol in her hand.

Then she looked at Saito.

"There is one more thing."

Saito raised an eyebrow.

"What's that?"

Fanny took a deep breath.

Then said:

"I want to join you."

The entire table went silent.

Saito blinked.

"...Say what now?"

Fanny straightened her back.

"I want to join Blue Scarf."

"Can I?"

Saito looked around the table.

At Bomb.

At Rin.

At Alya.

At Kaito.

One by one—

they nodded.

Kaito spoke first.

"Before you get excited."

"This isn't some bandit gang."

Fanny looked at him.

Kaito continued calmly.

"We have rules."

"We have a code."

"And we constantly end up in dangerous situations."

Rin nodded.

"A lot of dangerous situations."

Bomb nodded.

"Mostly because of Captain."

"Hey."

Saito complained.

Nobody listened.

Fanny looked back at Kaito.

"It's okay."

"I can fight."

Kaito studied her for a moment.

Then leaned back.

"Your funeral."

Saito sighed.

Then smiled.

"Well."

"You're in."

Fanny's ears immediately perked up.

"Really?!"

Before Saito could answer—

a voice interrupted.

"Absolutely not."

Everyone turned.

Malfoy stood beside the table.

Arms crossed.

Looking directly at his daughter.

"Dad."

"No."

"You're not joining a gangster crew."

Fanny groaned.

"Dad."

"I already trained at school."

"I know how to protect myself."

Malfoy rubbed his forehead.

Clearly fighting a losing battle.

Then he looked at Saito.

A long silence followed.

Finally—

he sighed.

"Promise me."

Saito looked up.

"Promise me you'll take care of her."

The room became quiet.

Saito smiled.

The same smile he had when protecting the bar.

The same smile he had when standing in front of bullets.

"Just like I took care of you before."

Malfoy stared at him for a moment.

Then slowly nodded.

"...Fine."

He looked at Fanny.

"You can join."

For a second—

Fanny simply stood there.

Processing what she had just heard.

Then—

"YES!"

She jumped into the air.

The entire bar turned to look at her.

Fanny didn't care.

Alya laughed.

Rin cheered.

Bomb nodded approvingly.

Even Kaito allowed himself a small smile.

And just like that—

the Blue Scarf Gang gained its newest member.
