Josh saw the stars sparkling in the twilight sky from his bedroom window and got up, walked to the bathroom, and saw himself. He thought to himself, "I failed them." Another voice spoke, "You didn't fail them, they failed themself from being the best vision. " His breath became fast, and he breathed harder, thinking about Ade. He looked disappointed in the mirror, "You have no real empathy, you monster." Then, seeing how Nimuel and Carlos looked at him, he growled, saying, "Traitors all of them are." He punched the mirror so hard that he punched a hole through the wall, the ground quaked, and glass shards and pieces of wall flew everywhere. He looked at his hands; his body was shaking. Then, seeing his own cracked reflection, he saw a scared young boy looking back at him. He started to cry, his vision going blurry. Mary ran in with the kids, who looked worried and confused. His body started to fail him; he began to wall off the voices; everyone began to eat into his mind; and he started to choke on his words as he tried to speak, but nothing but a mass of words came out. He looked at Osiris upon hearing what he said, "Monster." He fell to the ground screaming in pain, causing the upstairs windows to shatter. Seeing his once friends circling him, seeing his mother and father and his brother looking down upon him, he reached his arm out, feeling the soft skin of his wife, they called out, "Dad! Dad! Dad! Joshua!" They went dark as his family gathered around him.
Mary yelled. "Wendy and Oriris go downstairs and make soup for your father!" They both ran down the stairs, and she picked him, "Tala and Luca…. stay in the extra bedroom there until otherwise." They walked away from their mother. Tala was about to say something, but just seeing her mother's tired face kept her from speaking.
Ade drank a cup of warm tea, putting it down, looking at Robert. Ade smiled back. They felt the ground shake. Ade looked at Robert, saying, "That was that sound?" Robert replied, "It sounds like it came from Josh's house." Ade got up, "Do you think we should go and help him?!" Robert, in a calm voice, said, "Ade, you know Josh is going to be fine. It's nothing." Ade rolled his eyes; his worried face disappeared as he sat back down. Robert smirked, "Now tell me what's been on your mind." Ade sighed, saying everything that went on with Josh, and then went on telling him about how he felt, "When I stood in his house when he was about to snap his finger. I felt like he was going to kill me. I felt like he really lost his mind, yet I also felt unsure about what I was doing to him. I know that he has been under pressure and has some type of family issues, the way he avoided talking about his own family…." He stopped speaking. Robert looked at him and asked, "Are you fine, Ade?" He responded, "I just thought to myself, I have been covering up his own actions towards us and to everyone, because he had problems of his own. But that didn't mean he should communicate his problems and not neglect us. I have been avoiding my own problems with him the whole time during our long friendship until I yelled at him about it. I could have let the other talk to him about it. I could have talked to him about it." Ade started to cry, getting up from his seat, hugging Robert, saying, "Thank you so much." Fenna walked into the room, placing down a teapot, looking confused. Ade ran over to hug her, "Your husband is so smart." Then he snapped his finger, teleporting away. Fenna and Robert looked at each other, and she grinned. "Why didn't he just use the door?" Robert shrugged his shoulders, saying, "Does it really matter?" Fenna replied, "No, tell me everything." Robert smirked as she sat down next to him. Robert poured the tea into a teacup, dropping three sugar cubes.
Ade runs through the city and then sees a familiar-looking apartment complex. Walking into the building, going from place to place, until going upstairs. Then, knocking on the door, he heard someone speaking Spanish. Opening the door, he saw Carlos looking back. That sat there not saying a word until Nimuel came, seeing Ade, his face hanging open. Carlos ran to Ade, hugging him so hard. Nimuel joined in, and they all cried. Nimuel walked Ade inside the house, showing him the apartment. The living room, kitchen, bathrooms, and their bedroom last as they sat down on the couch. Ade got straight to the point, "I believe we should talk to Josh." Carlos sat there thinking for a moment. Nimuel didn't say, "Why do you want us to forgive the same person who threatened your existence?" Carlos spoke, "He is not saying to forgive and forget him, but at least talk with him." Ade nodded his head in agreement, "I know this is all thrown on you, but I'm worried about Josh." Nimuel stared at Ade, saying, "What?!" Nimual covered his mouth in his own disbelief. Ade said, "He looked like he slept since you two left." They both looked worried about Nimuel. "Are you completely sure?"Ade just nodded his head prior to Nimuel getting up from the couch, saying, "I needed to think about this." Carlos was about to get up before Ade stopped him. They sat together, thinking to themselves. Ade smirked, "Well, what have you two been up to?" Carlos just sighed, saying, "Nothing much, just trying to take a small break from everything." He looked at Ade, "How did you find us?"Ade replied
"I used the phone call as a reference, tracking the signal, but unsure how to talk with you." Carlos didn't look at Ade, just slightly rubbing his hands, smiling to himself. Ade said, "Did you kiss him?" Carlos choked, saying, "What?!" Then, lowering his voice, Ade just looked at him, "Well, the way you are acting, it seems like you have kissed someone?" Carlos looked at him, saying, "I left the house nearly a week ago, and I met this guy we talked to, and then he kissed him." Ade just sat back saying, "Where did you meet him?" Carlos replied with, "Pie Six is right, a couple of blocks to our apartment, and funny enough, he happened to sit at the same table with me." Ade, thinking to himself, sat up looking at Carlos, "Ade, are you good?" Ade put on a smile, and gears were turning in his head, "Of course, by chance, what did the guy look like?" Carlos blushed thinking about him, "Well, he was about as tall as me, light gray eyes, curly black hair, maybe the same age as me." Ade thought to himself, Carlos changed the subject, saying, "How did you know I was gay?" Ade was surprised by the question, "Well, I wasn´t 100%, and I wanted you to tell me if you were-" He stopped, "Oh sorry for ruining that for you, I could act-" Carlos just hugged him, tears running down his face, saying, "I'm just happy that you don't tell anyone." Ade hugged him back, "Of course it's your secret." They looked at each other, smiling. Carlos wiped his face and smirked, "Did you go on a date with anyone?"Ade replied with, "Yeah, with this woman, but I didn't click with her." Carlos raised his eyebrows. "Well then, what did she look like then?" Ade thought about it for a couple of seconds. "She had long curly red hair, dark green eyes, the same height as me, smelled like poppies for some reason, she looked around late 20s and early 30s, and her name." Carlos rolled his eyes. "Ade, you know I have a lot of details about someone you know, I have a lot about someone you don't like." Ade looked away, thinking about Adara, then said, "Well, I have something I should tell you?" Carlos looked confused. Ade sighed, "I'm asexual." Carlos looked unsure, "Oh ... I'm…. Not sure what to say, but thank you for telling me this." Ade just smiled, "Did you tell Nimuel about this?" Carlos shakes his head no, Ade, "Okay, cool." Carlos looked at him, "I guess you really were the ace of cards-" Ade stopped him, Carlos asked, "Is that why you and Kaila had a huge fight before-" Carlos stopped himself, "Sorry for bringing that up." Ade replied, "No it's okay, we didn't get in a fight because of my asexually we got in for something more- To don't even matter." Nimuel walked in, "I thought about it, and let's talk with Josh."
Josh recalled one of the earliest memories with his family. He looked around in a tall grass field, hearing his mother's soft and kind voice. "Joshua came here. I want to talk with you and your brother." He ran towards his mother, feeling the warm and soft sun brushing his skin, reaching a clearing in the field. Seeing a large old swing on an oak tree, he climbed on it and soon saw his twin brother smiling, trying to push him off. Their dad yelled at them. He and he hopped down, hit, and sat on the base of the tree. Josh pulled a raspberry as their mother walked up to them, her hair flowing calmly in the wind. Her smile seemed to glow as she spoke, "Joshua, Gabriel, I want to give up something for your two birthdays." Gabriel groaned in displeasure. Their father kicked back, "Hey, change your tone!" Mom said in her calm voice, "Hey, kids, this is a special day, and their birthday." Everyone looked at her, quilting themself, "Because you're about to turn 18 years old, we decided to give you two of your own galaxies." Josh and Gabriel looked at each smiling as they both got up. They said, "Reminder, kids, everyone in your galaxy is yours to keep safe, no matter what. They are yours." Later, they were sitting by the same tree their dad and mom left off during the job. Gabriel looked at him, and Josh spoke, "I can't believe we are getting our own universe. I am a little nervous." Gabriel smirked, saying, "You worry too much, my twin; you will be fine. I'm going to say those creatures are going to be easy to control. It's like playing a god you find with them until you get born and toss them out." Josh sighed, "I don't know about this, but it gets to the real question: are you looking for a wife or a husband?" Gabriel pulled out a cigarette, making a spark with his hand, taking a puff, saying, "You know I only have eyes for one girl for now, bro." I took another couple of puffs. Josh sighed, blowing the smoke away from him. "You know how they feel about you smoking near the great tree." Gabriel sucked in and breathed out, crushing the cigarette in his hand, coughing as grey smoke blew through his nose. Then he looked at Josh, "When do humans make these things again?" Josh thought about it, "I can't remember what mom said, Gab." They sat together as Josh's eyes started to close. Make more sparks with his fingers.
They went dark as Josh woke up, looking around the world, still spinning. Mary looked at him, saying, "Joshua, go back to sleep." She tried to make him come back, but he shouted in a weak tone, "I need to say sorry to everyone..." He fell back in bed and went to sleep, "I'm sorry for everything...I will never stop loving you..." He soon went to sleep, and she smiled, tucking him back to sleep, walking away downstairs. Seeing her kids on the couch, walking into the kitchen, lifting the lid of the pot, and starting the soup with a ladle. She placed the lid back when walking to the living room. "What does everyone want to eat for breakfast?" Luca said, "I could eat pancakes." She smiled, saying, "Great, any other ideas?" Tala said, "How's dad?" Mary's smile started to drop, and she forced herself to smile, "He is still sleeping. "Then they heard a knock on the door. Mary opened the door and saw Carlos, Ade, and Nimuel. She hugged them then closed the door behind her, saying, "Hey, what are you doing here?"Ade said, "We were here to talk with Josh. "Mary was surprised. "Well, I wish I could let you talk to him, but he is sick right now and is sleeping all night and morning." Nimuel said, "Can we wake him up?"Mary sighed, "You can talk to him, but it's very unlikely he's going to remember what you said to him." Carlos smiled, saying, "Thank you for talking to us, Mary. Have a great day."They all walked away as Mary walked back into the house, groaning, "Hey am sorry, kids, but I'm not feeling up to cooking." Luca got up, looking at her, and she was about to say something, then Wendy said, "Hey, Luca, I could make pancakes while Mom gets some rest." Mary grinned, waking upstairs, a single tear going down her face, and wiped it away.
