Warning: Stalking
Josh sat there, confused, as his friends circled him in the Robert office. It was a large wooden desk made of oak, with an office computer reminiscent of those from 90s detective movies. Robert said it makes me feel like a detective. He had a picture of his wife and two kids before Ade spoke, "What happened? You said something important."Josh didn't say anything, pulling out his phone and sliding it to them. They looked at the text messages, exchanging glances. Nimuel spoke, "How long has this been happening?"Josh sighed. "Since last night," Carlos said, looking at Nimuel. He took the phone from the table, pulling out a small USB, then looking at Josh, "Do you remember? Josh smirked, "Take your crack at it."He stuck it into the charge port as his eyes glowed navy blue, and Josh's phone screen turned the same color. They all waited as Nimuel pulled out the USB, his eyes back to normal. He sighed, "Sorry, guys, there's nothing, no luck. Whoever did this was very good at their job or had some tech powers."Josh looked at him, talking on his phone, "Are you sure you looked everywhere?" He looked at "I don't know how to use my powers correctly?"Ade spoke, "Well, let's go over what we know?" Carlos then said, "They know a ton of information about him I expect. "Nimuel looked around them at the table. "They have some power or ability. We need Robert's help at least."Josh looked at him, "Nevertheless, the less the people know about this, the better."
Nimuel looked at him, confused, "Why? He could help us find this person or these people faster. Carlos agreed, and then Ade said, "I agree with them both. We could also get Mary involved, just in case."Josh yelled out, "No?"Carlos looked at him, "Why? "Josh glared at them, "My say is final, we know this."Josh looked at his friend's face and became serious about what he was about to say. Josh cut him off, saying, "Sorry, I need some air."He walked out of the room thinking to himself, "Maybe that was too harsh." They will find they have tough skin. His phone rang, his eyes wide, seeing the stalker texting him again. "Looks like you are having a hard time finding me, meet me alone tomorrow at 8:00 pm sharp."Ade came outside looking at Josh. He smiled, "Hey Josh, we got something I need to tell you. So have a while. Well, recently I-we have been thinking…" Josh didn't listen completely during the whole conversation. He then gave up on trying to listen little by little, then halfway through. Deciding in his mind, thinking about the stalker, "They have more information on me, could it be my friends. No. But…" Ade looked a bit upset about saying "Where you-" Josh stopped him saying "We can talk about this very soon." He showed him the phone. Ade was going to say something, but decided to hold his tongue.
The next day, Josh paced around the kitchen, looking out the window to see the sunrise. Looking at the clock, surprised, Mary walked in, "Are you okay my love?"He turned over, touching her shoulder. "Am I fine? I just lost track of time, let me make everyone breakfast about the time they wake up."She smiled, "As long as you make me some good coffee I will be okay with that." She kissed him on the cheek and then walked back up the stairs. His smile faded as he looked at his phone, thinking about the stalker messages: "I'm going to stop you no matter what."He soon made everyone breakfast, and as Mary woke them up, they all smiled, seeing the food in front of them. They soon sat around the table. Wendy spoke first, "It looks like you haven't had enough sleep, is everything alright?"He smiled, replying with "Yes Wendy darling, how do you like the breakfast?"She was about to answer before Oriris said, "It's amazing, Dad, you've outdone yourself here,"Josh knew Oriris wanted something out of this somehow. "What do you want?"He looked at him, scoffing, saying, "Dad I want nothing from you. I just want to say I love your food. Did y'all try a new recipe?" Everyone looked at him, no one believed him he didn't even believe it worked rolled his eyes, saying, "Fine, Dad, can I go on vacation with my friends,"Josh looked at Mary, and they looked at each other, shrugging their shoulders. Josh started first, "Where to?" Oriris fired back, "Not too far downtown Fort Worth." Mary looked at him, saying, "Emily is there?" He groaned, "Yeeeess but it s not like that we are just friends."Josh looked at Osiris, "I promised in my Luca heart if I am lying he should be struck down right now." A bolt of lightning ran through the house pipes, hitting Luca. They all turned to Wendy, a spark coming from her hand, then she said, "Sorry I couldn't resist that perfect opportunity." Josh then got a ring on his phone, "Tick tock Joshua time is running out." He checked the clock on his phone; it was 7:45, and he sighed in relief, placing his phone back in his pocket. Then getting up from the table saying "Sorry I have to take this," Oriris looked at him as he went upstairs saying "Do not shoot your brother with more lighting when I'm gone." He checked his phone until it rang again; this time it was photos of pictures of his family eating around the table. He went downstairs, still eating. He went back upstairs, thinking to himself what to do next. Mumbled to himself, "Human." Later that day, we met with his friends, telling them more about what was happening. "Well, I'm going to meet them later on tonight. We should plan an attack before they realize, "Ade spoke up to them. Carlos sat back, thinking to himself, looking over to Nimuel. "How is it going over there, Kid?" Nimuel was focused on Josh's phone, trying to find anything he hadn't replied to. Everyone looked over to him as he was sitting in his seat. He started to sweat. Josh looked at him, "He never focused this hard."Nimuel's eyes then went red as he cried out in pain as Ade pushed him away from the phone, and Carlos pulled out the USB. Nimuel looked around prior to Josh looking at him. "What happened there?" Nimuel said something in Tagalog. Josh knows parts of it, but by the reaction of Carlos, it was bad. Nimuel sighed, saying, "Sorry I got a little heated." Ade smiled to himself, "I'm a little," Nimuel turned around towards him, "A got closer to finding their identity until they fought back, pushing me out. Coward." They all looked at each other as Josh's phone rang. Everyone looked over as Josh opened his messages, seeing the Stalker text message, "Tell your 'friends' to get out of my business." Nimuel smirked, "They took longer than I thought. They must be sloppy with their work," Carlos walked back far, touching the far end of the wall. Then mumbling to himself, thinking Josh thought to himself next, then said: "I'm going to meet them tonight to end this once and for all." Ade and Nimuel looked at each other, a little worried.
Josh sat there alone, flying above the sky, thinking to himself. He heard a voice ringing, "Josh, Joshua, Joshua, are you there?" He looked behind him, seeing his brother, "Sorry, Gabriel, just lost in thought for a moment. He looked down, and there was no house; there was a large field of grass dotted with bushes and other plant life. In the distance, he saw only a couple of skyscrapers. Some were getting built up. Josh made a baseball throw around the global meeting with Gabriel. He caught it in his hand, and it smoked in his hands. He set the ball on fire, slowly dropping it as he bounded off the ground. Josh tried to look at his face, but it was blank; his body had morphed over the years of their life. "How are your friends during?"Josh tried to shake it off. "They are doing great. I think I am going to marry Mary. I love you, brother." Gabriel replied as his voice distorted, "If only this were real, we could have stayed brothers." Josh couldn't see his face, but heard him sobbing as the world changed. His brother stood in a crater looking around as the sun was setting. Smoke over the sky, only showing pieces of it. Josh spit out blood. Everywhere was destroyed, only the remaining plant life was blackened; it was reduced to a rocky plain. Rocks and boulders were kicked up. Josh flew up, seeing his brother's face and body were broken, bleeding out, and bruised. Josh flew up to him, popping his arm back into place. The sound is sick in Josh to this day. Gabriel's normally perfect light brown hair was now bloodied, and a part was ripped out. Josh yelled to him to see me again, Gabriel, at least for a couple of decades. "You are seeing my twin." He reached his hand out, and his twin pushed him away, getting up, smiling at his broken teeth. His eyes looked crazy, cutting his left cheek, desperation and pain in every word he spoke, "I hope to the grand elders gods of our Multiverse to never see you again." He teleported before Josh could speak another word. He floated in the sky, sighing to himself. "Honey, it's getting late, you have to come inside." He looked down, smiling, seeing Mary's face. "I'm coming down." He floated down, looking around his house, seeing his friends sighing to himself, and feeling his scar on his left cheek. He looked at the sunset as he closed the door behind him. "Today is going to be the last day of this stalker or stalkers."He growled to himself, thinking about everything, mumbling to himself. As Ade watches through his window, whispering to himself, "May everything go well tonight." He turned off the downstairs lights, walking upstairs, pushing his hair out of his face.
