After a couple days of no news about receiving a Zelit, Lin finally had gotten him one.
"Koji, you have to know Zelits are more dangerous than Relics, because if you absorb the wrong thing you can completely destroy the Zelit; since you are a low level Miniscule you will have to concentrate even more at only absorbing a specific thing. Every living and nonliving being emits a sort of aura per say. So when you focus on the Zelit many auras will try to enter it; but you can only absorb one or the Zelit will just explode. Also, do not absorb too much. Whatever you pick to absorb is on you, but I would focus on the aura of a tiny rock and try to absorb it."
Koji nodded as Lin thoroughly explained the process that Koji would have to go through to achieve results with the Zelit.
"Okay, I think I get it..."
He was still very skeptical, as he had never used a Zelit before.
Lin nodded, sticking out his big hand to give Koji the Zelit; the Zelit was small and circular with a brownish color to it. As it landed onto Koji's small, pale hand he felt a weird sensation from it; like it was pulsing.
He did the same thing as he did with the Relic, he closed his eyes and pictured a stream of light connecting his mind to the Zelit.
The strings of light connected; sending a burst of white particles throughout the black space of Koji's mind; it was like a firework had gone off at a show. The white strings glowed, staying completely still.
He had successfully linked himself to the Zelit.
But suddenly, the two string condensed into a ball of light and tons of strings of different colors flew out of the darkness.
Koji's head was stricken with pain as it occurred, it was as if a rock suddenly hit his head.
Water, grass, rock, light, darkness, wood, air, and many other auras condensed into strings racing at the ball of light that was Koji's mind and the Zelit.
He grit his teeth, trying to stay focused and remembered what Lin told him to do.
'One string....'
He focused as well as he possibly, only absorbing the single, glowing, grey string of light that was in actuality just the aura of a rock on the ground.
It burst into the ball of light at an unimaginable pace; it was like a lightning strike.
Koji lost focus instantly, and the Zelit in his hand exploded.
"What!?"
He looked at his now empty hand in utter shock, he knew Lin said this could happen but he had confidence in his own ability.
'That fast? I failed that fast? It didn't even feel like i was 50% of the way finished...'
He was obviously a bit frustrated, however he was not completely angry.
'It's okay, it was harder than I thought but I think I got it next time...'
Lin sighed, reaching into a big bag and taking out a Zelit of the same appearance as the last.
"Koji, this may take you hundreds of tries to get right."
Koji's eyes almost bulged out of his head after hearing this absurd number.
'Hundreds? Just one try gave me a migraine! Why is this so hard?!'
Koji's face twisted in anger, surprise, and utter hopelessness all at the same time. Another hard thing would now have to be accomplished, and not only that; it may be the hardest thing he's tried to do yet!
Yes, using the brute force method of ascending to a Transcendent put him in utter agony but he had to focus way more on using the Zelit than he did while ascending, so it was still a harder task.
"J-just give me the next one..."
However, he had to try. Because he already decided what path he would take, in fact maybe things would get easier after he learned this; he could only hope that they would.
Lin handed him another Zelit, it shined in the light of the sun. The brown appearance of it was rather ugly in the eyes of Koji; but he didn't really care.
...
'Are we fucking serious!?'
Koji yelled at the situation inwardly, he had just tried for the fifteenth time!
He wanted to just get on the ground and sob at this point; he was shaking in utter anger.
Lin saw Koji's expression of hate and couldn't help but feel some pity towards him, after all Koji was such a young boy attempting this daunting task.
"Koji, why don't we continue this tomorrow, okay?"
Lin said nervously, he did not want Koji to break out in a fit of rage over this.
"No! Give me another one!"
Lin's eyes scrunched into a slight glare; if he said they were done, they were done. He would not let Koji blatantly disrespect him.
"No, we are done."
Koji saw Lin's serious expression and just got even more pissed; he hated being so young!
'If I was older I would tell this old man to go suck a dick!'
He grumbled but slightly calmed down, after all he was no match for Lin.
Lin saw Koji's admission of defeat and nodded, his serious expression gradually forming into a more relaxed one.
"Good, now since you already have a Relic, I'll be giving Ivory her first one today."
Koji didn't care much, but he was interested in what kind of Relic he was gonna give Ivory.
"What kind of Relic is she getting?"
Lin answered with a smile, obviously he was proud at his daughters choice.
"An ice one."
Instantly, Koji was reminded of the dream he had awhile ago.
'Ice... Indeed it's very terrifying...'
The beautiful woman from his dream popped into his mind, her frightening ice capabilities still engraved in his memory.
...
Later, in the peaceful evening three figures stood on top of the dark, green grass that laid upon the dirt underneath.
One was a tall, muscular man of a height well beyond the average; his arms were bigger than the child's legs who was in front of him, who's head was blanketed by snow white hair; her pale face contrasted by her dark green eyes.
Standing a couple feet away from both of them was a young child of a skinny stature and unique appearance.
His white hair flowed down to the nape of his neck, his hair was thick and straight, being slightly spiky as the long threads of hair came to an end and formed together; his face was pale with blue eyes that were shining in the sun.
Currently, Ivory was being given her first Relic by Lin; she was overjoyed as she held the Relic in her hand, and then went through the same process as Koji.
But there was a big difference.
When she shot out the reflective, light blue icicle from the Relic, she hit a rock first try!
