"Now is that how you greet an old friend, you angsty little teenager?" said Silver.
"I'd use the term 'friend' very lightly if I were you. Most people wouldn't call their lifelong bully a friend now would they?" replied an annoyed Shin.
"I'd use the term 'bullying' very lightly if I were you - I mean all I did was make a couple jokes at your expense nothing mor-"
"You pulled my pants down in front of my first crush back in high school; you soaked me from head to toe right before I asked Cindy Lowhan to homecoming; you put superglue in the brand new trainers I bought for prom and you hid my clothes that one time we went swimming near Lake Malebo. Need I say more?"
"Firstly, the only reason I pulled your pants down is because I had tripped and needed something to hang on to. Secondly, Cindy Lowhan was a bitch and she didn't even like you all that much - you guys would've been over in a week. Thirdly, those trainers looked ugly as hell, everyone in town knows your fashion sense only recently picked up - I was saving you the embarrassment of walking into prom with green and purple sneakers. Fourthly, there was a bees nest right on top of where you left your clothes, so I had to move them - now me forgetting where I moved them to is just me being a human, we all make mistakes after all."
"And fifthly?" asked Shin, already knowing the answer.
"I'm talking out of my ass", laughed Silver. "I did all that because it was hilarious - who are you the fun police?"
"Yeah, yeah laugh it up you monster - what do you want?"
"Is your brother home?" asked Silver, peering over Shin's shoulder, trying to get a glimpse inside the house.
"Yeah, he is, but not for you. We have a very important trip planned soon and he's super busy preparing. Whatever question you wanna ask him, you can ask me - I'm just as smart as him you know." replied Shin
"Mhm..." Silver murmured to herself. "I'm sure he won't mind if I just pop right in real quick". Silver made her way to the front porch of the house.
"Yeah, no. What part of being busy do you not get? I'm heading to the mall right now and there is no way I'm leaving you alone with my brother again. It's best for both of you to stay clear of each other - especially after what happened last time." said Shin, growing more annoyed in tone.
"That's what I wanted to talk about - mind your business freak." retorted an angered Silver. "This is a conversation between adults."
Silver pushed past Shin, shoving him to the side. Before she could take another step; however, she felt the firm grip of Shin's hand on her wrist.
"I'm guessing you're here to reconcile, right? How's pushing his little brother to the floor before barging in uninvited gonna look to Taiga?"
Silver reflected silently.
"Listen, I'll let you meet him, heck I'll even give my blessing and help you argue your case, on the condition that you beat me in a little game."
A weight lifted off Silver's shoulders - for the time being, she wouldn't have to confront Taiga.
"What kind of game?" asked Silver
"Follow me."
