Episode 35: Shattered Bonds and Rising Rings
February 15, 6078 – Leister Household
The dinner had turned into a battlefield.
Kyle Leister stood frozen, broken plates scattered at his feet. "Gwen… explain yourself. Why did you abandon Wyatt?"
Gwen's hands trembled. For years she had buried the truth. Now it clawed its way out.
"I didn't leave willingly," she whispered, voice cracking. "A group called The Eclipse Court kidnapped me. They erased parts of my memory. They told me Wyatt would die if I ever tried to return. I… I was terrified."
Moses Freeman's face twisted in disbelief. "Lies. You left him on our doorstep with nothing but a note."
Wyatt's eyes burned with betrayal. He stood up slowly. "I'm done."
"Wyatt, wait—" Kevin tried.
But Wyatt stormed out. Kevin followed him into the cold night.
The Fight
In an abandoned warehouse near the school, the two best friends finally broke.
"You knew?!" Wyatt shouted. "All this time and you never said anything?"
"I didn't know!" Kevin yelled back. "She's my stepmom! How was I supposed to—"
The argument escalated. Years of trauma, fear, and unspoken pain exploded between them. Wyatt swung first. Kevin dodged, but his emotions fed the Matrix.
White-blue energy erupted uncontrollably from Kevin's hands. The blast destroyed half the warehouse in a deafening explosion. Both boys stared at the destruction in shock.
Kevin looked at his glowing hands. "It's getting stronger… I can't control it anymore."
Wyatt breathed heavily. "We're both losing control."
The Realm Mysteria → Earth
Selene Arkwright opened a shimmering silver portal. "The time has come."
Nathan, Grug, Eddie Gigglesworth, Paradonitious, and The Labyrinth Lord stepped through into the frozen wilderness of Finland.
The First Ring of Eldoria was buried beneath an ancient temple that was never built by human hands.
As they approached, the ground shook. A colossal ice knight rose — Boreas, Guardian of the First Ring. Every strike froze space itself, turning air into solid barriers.
"This isn't a monster," Nathan realized. "It's a test."
The Blank Ruins – Lucifer's Shadow
Deep in Hell, Lucifer Morningstar sat on his throne. His generals knelt before him.
He had already located the Third Ring.
"Let them chase the first," Lucifer smiled coldly. "I will claim the rest."
Gold Reef City, South Africa
The Second Ring activated without warning.
Massive earthquakes ripped through the city. Rollercoasters froze mid-loop. Thousands screamed as a glowing golden circle began rising from beneath the earth. News helicopters captured the event live. The world watched in terror.
Peter received the emergency call. "Gold Reef City. Now."
Rona insisted on coming. Unbeknownst to them, young Syion secretly followed, reading their thoughts.
Derek's Hospital Room
Derek woke up weak. His electricity was gone. Instead, machines around him began rusting and decaying at an alarming rate.
Ferrum stood silently by his bed as doctors panicked.
Derek whispered, voice hoarse, "What… is happening to me?"
His power had evolved into something far more dangerous — Technological Entropy.
The Blank Facility
Mortalis, Master of the Dead, tore open a crack between Earth and the Underworld. Thousands of lost souls began pouring out.
Lucifer smiled from afar. Mortalis had unknowingly advanced his plan.
Guardians Headquarters
Sasha officially welcomed the new members:
Robo-Bot conducted an army of steel drones with perfect precision. Mac Puigcerver bent gravity and air pressure, making the room feel heavy. Fenrir Nightshade and StillFang howled, their werewolf forms casting terrifying shadows. Gamble (Jabari Reid) rolled dice that bent probability. Ignis Lau summoned controlled infernos. Meteor Boy called down small flaming rocks. Cole Joseph raised magma veins. Loki Nyden shapeshifted into perfect copies of the team.
The introductions were interrupted by blaring alarms.
Finland – The First Ring
Nathan's team fought Boreas valiantly. Grug was frozen solid. Paradonitious lost an arm. Eddie barely survived by turning the fight into chaotic comedy.
Nathan landed a devastating punch. The ice knight cracked… then laughed.
Its true form emerged. The entire frozen mountain stood up. The "temple" had been Boreas' armor all along.
Final Twist
Kevin suddenly heard a voice in his mind:
"Kevin Leister… You are not the only one chosen."
Across the world, another teenage boy stood before a floating black crystal. His eyes turned crimson. He smiled.
"My turn."
His name burned in the air:
