Episode 28: Ascension Unleashed
The roar of the Supernatural Rampager shattered something deep inside The Blank.
Every power-suppressing chain in the facility sparked and died. The white-blue restraints flickered out across the prison wings.
Execution Chamber
Kyle Leister's eyes ignited with bronze light. Bronze Control — he slammed his hands down, turning the metal floor and walls into living bronze constructs that impaled three guards.
Gwen moved with deadly grace. Direction Control — she flicked her wrist and every bullet fired at them reversed mid-air, shredding the shooters.
Torkai Yoshkirle cracked his neck. Chef's Kiss activated — he grabbed a fallen guard's knife and "seasoned" it with a glowing spice that made the blade explode with fiery culinary energy, carving through enemies like a blazing wok.
Chien Jen, calm and focused, touched a guard's arm. Power Absorption — he drained the man's Glimmer completely, then unleashed it back as a devastating blast.
R. Dogder laughed darkly at first, but his smile vanished as Torkai and Chien Jen charged him directly.
Main Prison Wing
Wyatt Freeman ripped a steel crowbar from the wall and swung it with primal fury, caving in a guard's skull. "Let's go!"
Devonte Moya's eyes glowed. "Enough hiding." He raised his right arm — Power Gun Load. His forearm transformed into a heavy machine gun. He unleashed a storm of bullets, mowing down waves of guards while cradling Lil Micah in his left arm.
Out of nowhere, a stolen black car smashed through the facility wall in an explosion of concrete and glass.
Gideon Young phased out of the driver's seat like a ghost. Ryan Mackrow stepped out, Rageforge energy blazing around him. Behind them stood three new Magnificent 18 recruits:
Zack — Blinding Fire, whose flames burned so bright they could sear retinas and disorient entire squads. Sylvana — a Dryad who commanded vines, roots, and poisonous flowers that erupted from the ground. Deadlock — an undead Wrathborn who could phase between life and death, making him nearly impossible to kill.
"Rampager's crew!" Gideon shouted. "We're here!"
The prison wing erupted into all-out war.
North Korea – Blood Cave
Nathan's group finally reached the entrance of the blood-soaked cave. A pale, regal figure stepped out — Ri Kwon Jae, the Vampire Wrathborn. Long black hair, crimson eyes, and an aura of ancient night.
"You are the ones who carry the Rampager's roar," Ri Kwon Jae said, voice smooth as silk and sharp as fangs. "I will fight beside you."
Before they could respond, death arrived.
Slasher — a masked assassin in black tactical gear — descended from the ceiling like a shadow. His superpower, Thousand Kokuji Slashes, activated. His twin blades became a hurricane of invisible, lightning-fast cuts that shredded rock and air alike.
At the same moment, from the treeline, Dustin Krasniqi — a cold-eyed man in a high-tech wheelchair — rolled forward. Copper Manipulation — he raised his hands and every piece of copper wiring, pipes, and coins in the area twisted into razor-sharp spears and bullets.
The battle became legendary.
Ri Kwon Jae moved like living blood, turning into a crimson mist to dodge slashes while reforming to strike with clawed hands. Koa shifted into full Komodo Dragon + Rhino hybrid, charging through copper spears. Ferrum became a walking fortress of animated iron. Derek lit the cave with chain lightning. Tiago used Past Sight to predict Slasher's deadly patterns. Nathan created dozens of phantom duplicates to confuse both assassins.
The cave shook with clashing powers. Slasher's blades left thousands of cuts across the walls in seconds. Dustin turned the entire battlefield into a deadly copper storm.
Ri Kwon Jae delivered a devastating strike, biting into Slasher's shoulder and draining his blood mid-slash, weakening the assassin's speed. Koa and Ferrum teamed up to smash Dustin's wheelchair construct, forcing the copper manipulator onto the defensive.
The Blank – Chaos
Garcia Fernandez turned on Headless Dullahan in a brutal clash of claws versus spectral whip and flaming head. Gillan Dahmer fought both Barloff Hanson (Steel Dominion) and another Big Five member in a desperate three-way duel, using unstable potions and cult rituals.
R. Dogder roared as Torkai's explosive Chef's Kiss attacks and Chien Jen's absorbed power blasts pushed him back.
Kevin, now fully armored in glowing white-blue supernatural Rampager gear, tore through the facility like a living apocalypse, roaring with every step.
The entire mountain facility trembled as the war reached its boiling point.
