Xavier's POV
"Will someone talk to me? What the hell is going on?"
My voice came out sharper than I intended, cutting through the chaos around the nurses' station.
The nurse behind the counter barely looked at me. "Calm down, sir. I can't tell you that."
I stared at her in disbelief because I was fucking losing my mind and she expected me to calm down?
"Are you kidding me right now?" My hand slammed against the counter. "I am here to see the patient in that room."
Now she finally looked up... Her expression was cautious.
"Who are you?"
I blinked. "What?"
"Are you a relative?" she asked like that was the only thing that mattered at this point.
For a second I just stared at her. A relative? Seriously?
Out of all the questions she could ask, that was what she went with?
Honestly I was stressed beyond measure and I could literally feel my blood pressure rising but before I could say something I would probably regret, Sylvester stepped forward.
