Three Days Later...
Pain... That was the first thing I felt. Not fear, not confusion. Just pain.
It sat inside every inch of my body like someone had poured molten metal into my veins and left it there to cool.
My head throbbed, my back ached, my neck felt stiff and my shoulder...
Jesus fucking Christ.
The moment I tried to move, a sharp pain exploded through my shoulder and ripped a curse straight from my mouth.
"Fuck..."
I immediately froze as I realized it was a bad idea to move, very bad idea because the pain was so intense it nearly made me black out all over again and for several seconds, I just lay there breathing slowly and carefully like every breath mattered.
Then I forced my eyes open and instantly the sunlight hurt.
I blinked repeatedly, trying to adjust my vision to my environment because everything looked blurry at first... The ceiling, the walls, and the curtains.
