Alex came out, sat on a chair and said:
"You left me alone, mom!
Now, who will call me as 'My Little Guinea Pig'?
I miss you very much, mom!
Please come to me."
Suddenly, he felt someone strange in his body.
As if a large amount of pressure had fell on his shoulders.
That feeling stayed for about 20 seconds after fully disappearing!
Suddenly he heard the voice say:
{You have absorbed the life-force of the strongest man alive}
{Your mana capacity has increased by 15 times}
{Your current mana rivals that of sleeping Theodore}
{The affinity of your elements have increased significantly}
{Your mastery on your spells has been maxed out}
{Congratulations for achieving it}
That was what Alex had heard after seeing someone enter into the house.
The person was a slim man.
He was about the same age as Julie, but seemed to be a bit more older.
His face was covered with scars all over.
His both eyes covered with black bandana like cloth.
He had bright white hair,
His face had only one part untouched by scars:
The Lips!
However, he was wearing a black outfit and a white robe like something covering it.
He approach to get Alex.
Alex retreated a bit, his instincts screaming that the man was evil nad he meant no peace!
But, his heart and soul said the whole opposite,
That this man is good, he is not evil.
Stuck between the contrast in his mind,
He was confused what he would do.
Suddenly, a surge of survival instinct caught him.
Unconsciously, he grabbed his magic crystal and chanted his only spell:
Water Splash!!
Several fist-sized blobs of water flew towards the man.
At the same time, the man had already prepared his attack:
Barrier of Doom!!
The blobs had clearly hit him,
Even the water splashed all around,
Wetting the whole house.
But what shocked Alex, was that the man was still dry,
Not even a single drop on him!
But clearly, the man had stumbled outside the house.
Was the stumbling intentionally or that it was due to the sudden power up of Alex,
It was still not clear.
Outside, the man brushed off some dust particles off his shoulders and said,
"You really have a great mana pool,
Kid!
I have a question for you,
Are you interested in becoming my student?"
The question was so sudden that it caught Alex off guard!
Alex had no answer to that question.
Even deciding to nod or not was as difficult as if clearing a military test!
Suddenly, a strange noise came from behind the man.
When the man turned,
Alex found it was the perfect time to ambush him.
So he chanted the spell once more.
This time, with several times more mana.
The seven blobs increased in size.
While they were fist sized before,
They were now the size of an football.
The seven blobs rushed towards the man.
Splash Splash Splash!!
When the splashing was finished, he saw the man now facing him.
Chill ran down through his spine.
"You're weak! You can not even scratch me,
You weakling!"
Said the man mockingly.
Suddenly, the air pressure began to change.
The clouds curled into a point.
After few moments, a rift was opening in the air.
The clouds began to change colour from default white to Blue!
After a minute, the tear finally opened.
Blue coloured mist began pouring out of the rift!
It was a Blue Dungeon!!
Alex had no idea what was going on!
But before he could fully process the previous information provided by the voice,
He heard the man say:
"Hey weakling, just see how strong I am.
And don't regret for not becoming my disciple!"
Suddenly, the man lifted his right index finger up while the thumb side facing him.
He began to slowly slowly raise his middle finger.
Red coloured mana began to condense into a small ball.
When the middle finger was completely erect,
Red lightning like cracks surrounded the red coloured ball.
He heard the man say:
Demonic Erasure: Red!!
He slowly twisted his hand such that the thumb now protruded towards his right.
Then he throwed the ball like flicking his two fingers but without thumb.
The red energy ball rushed towards the portal.
Suddenly an explosion occurred.
When the dust settled, Alex saw that the whole portal disappeared!
"That's why I am the strongest!" said the man.
Alex was shocked.
Then he recalled what that voice had said while explaining the portals:
{Humans can not enter these portals}
{However, their attacks can}
{So most people just finish the monsters by launching their attacks in the portals and kill the monsters before even they would emerge}
{This is called premature exorcism of dungeons}
Yes.
It was the last bit of information that he recalled.
Alex had understood one thing:
He can not waste such an opportunity to become his student.
He felt as if he will help him in becoming the ultimate mage.
So he stepped towards him,
Eagerness filling his eyes:
I want to be your student!
The man turned towards him, doubt in his eyes.
"Are you sure you don't have any problem?
That's because my previous batch of students had become patients of mental hospital!"
He asked Alex.
But Alex said:
"I can do anything to become the student of the ultimate mage!"
"What did you just say?
I am the ultimate mage! I think you are delusional!
I am not even the mage knight, you know!
But what can I do? I don't want to humiliate the ultimate mage by showing my powers!"
Alex was shocked and doubtful and he was caught off guard by the sudden turn of events.
But he didn't want to lose this 'One in a Million' opportunity.
So without saying much, he raised his head proudly,
Inhaling some fresh air filled with the dust particles which were still there after the explosion.
His eyes met the man's eyes.
He could feel the tremendous amount of pressure on his shoulders.

Without thinking much,
He frankly said:
"No matter what happens in the future,
I want to be your student!
Please accept me as your student."
The man raised his eyebrows, looking at him with disbelief.
But seeing the flame in his eyes, he replied:
"Certainly!"
