A building in Washington, D.C. was on fire.
A woman and her son were trapped inside.
The flames were about to reach them when— Heatblast appeared.
He caught the falling debris and shielded them.
The kid looked at him in amazement.
"Who are you?"
Ben replied,
"Well, I'm here to help."
Then, using his fire powers, he absorbed all the flames in the building.
After that, he safely brought the woman and her son down to the ground.
He waved goodbye to the kid.
Just then, Gwen and Max drove up in the Rustbucket to pick him up.
They told him the fire was a planned diversion to distract from a jewelry store robbery.

The scene changes to the thieves' car being chased by the RV. Ben had already transformed back into a human—he didn't need to wait for the timer; he knew how to revert early.
While chasing them, Ben asked Gwen if she wanted to catch them—trying her magic.
Gwen said, "Huh? Can I?"
"Of course. You won't get a perfect test dummy later—just do it."
"What are you two talking about? Ben, Gwen—how will she stop them?" Grandpa asked, confused.
Ben replied confidently, "Well, Gwen awakened her powers. She can use them now!"
"Wait, what? Is this true, Gwen?" Grandpa asked, thinking for a moment.
"Well… yeah, although I can't use it well yet," Gwen said sheepishly.
"Well, looks like this summer is going to be way more interesting than I thought it would be…" Grandpa chuckled.
"Alright, take care of it. Trust in yourself—you will definitely succeed."
"Okay, then…"
Gwen gathered energy into a sphere and threw it at them. The car was crushed easily. She then created a rope with her mana and tied them up, leaving them for the police.
"Alright, you did it, Gwen!" Grandpa Max said happily, seeing his grandchildren succeed, thinking they might become great Plumbers someday—if they wanted to.

In a different part of Washington, a man named Roger knocked incessantly on an apartment door.
"Hey, Animo! I know you're in there—open up!"
But he got no response, so he let himself in.
Inside the room, he passed many ominous cases and cages housing all types of animals.
"Phew… smells like a zoo in here."
An angry, pale-skinned figure suddenly appeared behind him—the resident of the apartment, Dr. Aloysius Animo.
"How did you get in?"
"Pass key. I'm still your landlord, remember? Or maybe not, since your rent is six months overdue."
"All my funds go into my research," Animo replied. He barked at Roger to get out and not disturb his work.
Roger, however, stood his ground and demanded he pay his overdue rent.
Dr. Animo placed a frog down and decided to show Roger what he had been working on. He wore a strange machine consisting of an odd-looking helmet and vest.
Roger laughed at it, but Animo explained that it was a Transmodulator, capable of creating genetic mutations.
Dr. Animo used it on the frog, which grew to a gigantic size.
The doctor cackled as the frog played with Roger in its mouth, then remarked that he only needed a few more components to complete his work.
At that moment, a commercial came on his TV advertising a new superstore called "MegaMart," and it caught his attention.
"Hehe This is just what I needed. "

The Tennysons were shopping at the Mega Mart.
Grandpa was checking things out.
"Hm… only canned octopus? And I thought they prided themselves on a wide selection."
"Ah, Grandpa, no offense, but can't we have a normal dinner for once? You know, one that doesn't involve moving tentacles?" Gwen asked.
"Heh, nonsense. Now, where is that ingredient…" Grandpa said as he walked away, searching.
Gwen saw Ben picking snacks.
She asked, "Don't you want anything?"
Not wanting to explain, Ben had already given her permission to use the inventory as well since she was his cousin, so he felt she could rely on it too.
Gwen saw a whole bunch of snacks—chips of different flavors, chocolate chips, candy bars, chocolate cakes, desserts…
She was shocked. "Where did you get the money for all of this? We could spend the entire three-month vacation on this!"
"Uh, well… some of them I got as rewards.
Don't worry about it—you can get them too."
"Oh, is that so? So other than powers, what rewards are there?"
"Hm… well, first powers, then healing potions, different types of clothes, a lot of money, some useful tech… and then a bunch of food. So basically, you don't need to worry about anything."
"That's awesome!" Gwen exclaimed.
[Hmph, it's only natural,] Ciel said proudly in his mind.
"Alright, so like I said, don't worry—we have enough food for now. If you want something else, tell me, I'll get it for you."
"Thanks, Ben…" (Her affection increases.)

Somewhere else…
Dr. Animo suddenly broke in with his mutant frog and stole electronic items.
The guards tried to stop him but couldn't.
Animo moved to the pet section, where Max was, and started mutating a hamster and a parrot, shouting,
"Arise to your full potential, my pets!"

"Grandpa!!" Ben and Gwen ran toward him.
Seeing them, Animo began announcing his ambitions:
"Behold the genius of Dr. Animo! Nothing can stop me from what I deserve. Mark my words—today I will make history… or should I say, pre-history!"
Then the giant hamster started charging toward them!
Ben didn't want to transform in front of so many people, so he used small magic spheres to injure the hamster's legs. Then he created a barrier around it so it couldn't escape.
He picked up a bat and struck the hamster on the head, knocking it unconscious.
Ben threw the bat aside.
"Hmph, a useless pet," Dr. Animo snorted coldly. Then he looked at Ben and shouted,
"And you fool—you cannot stop me! I will turn Washington, D.C. into Washington B.C.!"
Then he jumped onto the parrot, broke through the glass roof, and flew away. The frog followed behind.

Everyone came out from their hiding spots and thanked Ben for his bravery.
The store manager said gratefully,
"You saved me—my shop! Please tell me if there's anything I can do for you!"
"Well, it was nothing. I don't need anything. Bye," Ben said, then left with Grandpa Max and Gwen.

Chasing after the parrot in the RV, Ben sat in the back with Gwen, who was busy on her laptop.
Grandpa suddenly said,
"Ah! Just like the good old days… before I retired."
Hearing that, Ben winked at Gwen as if saying, 'See? Grandpa finally slipped.'
Gwen asked,
"So, what kind of plumber were you, Grandpa?"
Realizing his slip, Grandpa Max quickly changed the subject.
"Ben, won't you come sit here and watch? You have to beat Dr. Animo, after all."
"Haha, don't worry, Grandpa—I'll definitely beat him," Ben said, chuckling.
"Bingo, found him! Five years ago, Dr. Animo was a promising researcher… but it turns out he was doing genetic experiments, mutating animals. When he didn't win some big award, he snapped," Gwen said, looking through her laptop.
Screech!!
The parrot suddenly flew off.
"We lost him!" Grandpa sighed.
"He could be going anywhere in Washington, D.C.," Grandpa Max said.
"Or… Washington B.C.?" Gwen added.
"Hm… if I had to guess, I know where he's going—the Natural History Museum," Ben said.

Outside the museum—
They found large feathers from the parrot.
"Something tells me we're on the right track," Grandpa Max said.
"Good thinking, Ben."
They entered the museum, walking toward Dr. Animo, who was doing something with his machine.
Hearing their footsteps, Animo turned around and said,
"You are very persistent… and I hate it."
Gwen said,
"We all know about you and your freak experiments. Come on, Dr. Animo, it's over."
"Oh no, no—it's just begun," Dr. Animo said.
"I only needed a few components to reach phase two of the experiment—"
"Reanimation of dormant cells!"
"Hey, why are we listening to his nonsense for so long? Why don't I just beat him up?"
Ben said, getting tired of it. Although Animo was a genius, he had gone down the wrong path, so he needed to be stopped.
"Hmph! No one denies me—observe!"
He tapped on his gadget, the
Transmodulator. A red beam gathered at the antenna of the helmet and shot toward a large mammoth fossil.
The fossil began to move.
It came to life and started advancing toward Ben and the others.
"Behold! This is the genius of Dr. Animo!"
