"First of all, is that the first thing you say to your mother after barely seeing each other for two months?"
Celine said in a teasing tone, but her gaze showed that she was proud of her son.
She could feel the amount of mana surrounding Calux, and she was almost sure he had reached his goal of C- rank.
But just reaching that rank alone wasn't enough, she wanted to see the results of his training and his skills.
"Ugh... Mom, there's a stranger here I'm not going to do what you are implying I do, no way in hell."
Calux was dead serious, he wasn't about to hug his mother and hear her praises in front of someone he didn't know.
Celine, could only pout seeing that her son wasn't going to be flexible with this situation.
"Fine, fine. This here is Seraphiel, and like you she is a Transcendent potential awakener."
She let the words sink in, and Calux's expression didn't disappoint.
You could see disbelief in his eyes when his mother spoke, trying to look at her and see if she was playing around or not, but before he could ask, Celine continued.
"Your aunt and father seemed to have detected her birth the day you were born, and before leaving the planet, decided to do the same that they did for you."
"I imagine the reason her potential was locked at B rank instead of S rank like you was to avoid suspicions, since having two S rank awakened at the altar when this has never happened before would grab a lot of attention, especially a random girl with lineage of no one above a B rank."
Calux put his hand to his chin as if he was thinking about something, and nodded absentmindedly.
I guess that makes sense, if both she and I would have awakened as S ranks, the royal family would have probably gone crazy.
"Okay that makes sense, but again why is she here, did dad and aunt Liana tell you to receive her or something?"
Knowing that her son was someone very curious, she decided to explain more in detail about the situation.
Celine went into the details of the letter, and of course she let Calux know what type of Sovereign Seraphiel was and what her abilities were.
She was definitely having fun with the reactions Calux was making.
His face looked at his mother and Seraphiel, and it showed distinct emotions every few seconds.
It was evident that just like them, he felt it was extremely weird for someone that could essentially be his opposite be born exactly the same day as him, in the same planet as him, and worst of all so near him.
"Well I guess if we are talking about fate, perhaps that is why aunt Liana sent dad to this planet in the first place... Who knows?"
Calux decided to formally introduce himself, which is something he had not done, because Seraphiel had been extremely quiet during this exchange, letting Celine do all the talking.
"Hello Seraphiel, it is nice to meet you, my name is Calux Voidbane, and considering what my mother has said during our conversation, I guess we'll be partners during some upcoming rifts for training and considering our potential..."
"I guess we'll have to rely in each other for a while if we want to reach our fullest potential, knowing no one else on this planet will ever be able to match us in the future.."
Looking at Seraphiel, she was now on full alert with her emotions and thinking speed on full alert, considering that this man in front of her felt eerily familiar even though they had never met, this further solidified her thoughts that there was something at play between their lives that seemed to have been orchestrated.
She completely agreed with Calux, unless someone actually came to pick them up, they were essentially the only ones on this planet that would be able to go over the SSS rank and leave the planet, this territory was far in the future and completely unknown, but she couldn't help but think ahead just like Calux was doing.
"Nice to finally meet my master's son. I completely agree as well, let us cover each other's back in the future then."
She tried to say formally but her nerves and face expressions completely betrayed her.
He chuckled at her behavior.
"Don't be so formal, I'm not going to eat you."
She stiffened at his words, she had never interacted with a man of his status, men from the commoner side were different, they saw a woman like her which was beautiful, not that she was a narcissist, and they behaved like dogs in heat, competing for her, without even thinking if she was interested or not, as if it was a fact that she'd had to choose one of them.
Calux however, didn't look at her with lustful eyes, he was just trying to be playful, something she was completely unused to.
She was taken out of her thoughts once again by Calux.
"Well since we are in the topic on introductions and mom said she trained you and you have reached D rank in both mana and body, that is good, it's fine if you train one to the max of the rank before the other, what's important is to never breakthrough unless both of them are at the max and you can have a double breakthrough."
Seraphiel nodded in understanding, knowing full well that he still had more information to share.
"As of now, I was able to reach the C- rank while training, I didn't use any boss cores, I just trained on my separate space where mana quality is five times denser, while my technique allows for a tenfold increase, so I essentially had a fifty times mana gathering amount, that's how I was able to reach the C- rank."
Seraphiel looked at Calux in shock, she knew how hard she had trained to reach D rank, and he was still a rank above her.
Going from a rank to another was not the same as a minor rank, a full rank difference was usually unbeatable because of the amount of mana the core held, and she knew that he was training both the body and the core, so he was extremely formidable, all in the time she took to reach the D rank.
"My daughter reached the B rank, therefore when we go into rifts, we won't be in too much trouble, so don't worry too much."
Seraphiel went pale when Calux said daughter.
How the hell does he have a daughter isn't he eighteen?
And how the hell is his daughter stronger than him!
Her thoughts were plastered all over her face, and suddenly she heard a laugh.
"Pftttt! Calux be more specific! The poor girl is questioning her existence."
For a second Calux thought about his words, and suddenly face palmed himself.
"Ugh I'm sorry, it's easier to show than explain now."
Before Seraphiel could understand what he meant, she heard him call out.
"Nyra come out."
A small portal manifested behind Calux, and suddenly an extremely intimidating aura covered the room.
