Chapter 61 - Chapter 61: The Future Warrior in Red Flash

"Beedrill, use Outrage!"

Faced with Scizor's Flash Cannon, the Principal refused to give up. Beedrill's already crimson eyes flared with a manic, scarlet light!

Outrage was a Dragon-type move. When a Pokémon of that lineage flew into a berserk rage, its reverse scales would stand on end, fueling a terrifying wrath intended to lay waste to everything in its path.

With a swift thrust of its lance, Beedrill knocked Scizor's claws aside, causing the Flash Cannon to miss its mark and explode harmlessly to the side in a cloud of thick smoke. Its other lance lunged straight for Scizor's abdomen, striking a vital spot and dealing massive damage!

Scizor was forced back several steps. Had it not been for its Steel-type resistances, it might have been brought to its knees then and there.

"Taking it to the next level with Outrage? Scizor, meet it head-on with a continuous Bullet Punch!" Ash didn't show a hint of panic at Beedrill's sudden burst of power; instead, he grew excited.

This was the final gambit from the Principal and Beedrill. Once the effects of Outrage wore off, Beedrill would fall into a state of confusion, and its meager remaining stamina would be entirely spent. It would have nothing left to fight with.

All Ash really needed to do was utilize Scizor's agility to stall until the Outrage state ended, ensuring an easy victory. However, Ash chose a different path. He commanded Scizor to use Bullet Punch to clash directly with Beedrill's berserk assault!

The figures of Scizor and Beedrill blurred and vanished from sight!

Clang!

Clang!

Nothing remained in the center of the battlefield but the rhythmic, screeching ring of metal on metal. These two Pokémon were engaged in a duel at a speed that defied the imagination!

A blue light flickered around Ash's body as he used his Aura Power to maintain a firm grip on every detail of the exchange. Relying on its incredible reflexes, Scizor managed to parry every one of Beedrill's twin lance strikes, but it was reaching its limit.

As the saying goes: he who defends for too long is bound to fail!

In a split second of oversight, Beedrill's lance was about to pierce Scizor's abdomen.

"Cut!"

Ash's command rang out at that precise moment. In a flash, Scizor shifted its stance, successfully batting the lance aside before following through with a slashing strike across Beedrill's body!

The two finally separated. Scizor retreated to Ash's side, panting heavily. Beedrill, however, could no longer maintain a stable flight. As the Outrage ended, it fell into confusion, spinning helplessly in place.

And in that very instant...

Scizor: 255/255.

The light of evolution once again completely enveloped Scizor!

When the light faded, the Bond Evolved Scizor stood at a towering 2.2 meters, looking every bit like a warrior from the future. A grayish-blue war helmet seemed to rest upon its forehead, and its shoulders were reinforced with additional plating. Its twin claws now boasted three ferocious spikes, and its upper body bore a striking resemblance to the Mega Scizor Ash remembered.

However, its legs maintained the standard Scizor form, only becoming significantly more robust. But the most dazzling feature was the pair of enormous, shimmering insect wings that had appeared behind it!

Name: Ash-Scizor (Male)

Type: Steel

Ability: Technician (Increases the power of moves with low base power), Light Metal (Halves the Pokémon's weight)

Moves: (Omitted)

Following its Bond Evolution, Ash's Scizor had become a pure Steel type, much like Aggron. This granted it a vast array of resistances while significantly reducing its weaknesses. Combined with the Light Metal ability to maintain its high agility and speed, it was truly a Red Flash! A super warrior in red!

"This...?" The Principal and Aya were stunned, staring at Scizor's magnificent new form, unable to find their voices.

Molly, however, was already used to such sights. Seeing the battle end, she ran straight to Scizor. "Scizor, you're so cool!"

Scizor scooped Molly into its arms. Its massive, brilliant wings unfurled, and it suddenly soared into the sky with her!

"It's flying?" Aya cried out in surprise.

Normally, Scizor is unable to fly after evolving due to its heavy body; its wings generally only serve to help it maintain balance. Yet Ash's Scizor was soaring through the air!

"Haha! We're flying!" Molly cheered happily, enjoying the ride far more than any roller coaster.

"Principal, I'll leave Scizor in your care then!" Ash called Scizor back down. Now that his bond with Scizor had reached its peak, he wouldn't refuse an expert's offer to help train his Pokémon.

"Ash, I will teach Scizor every secret ninja technique I know! Thank you for showing me the infinite possibilities of Pokémon!" The Principal's eyes glowed as he looked at Scizor. He could feel that the Pokémon Ninja Arts he championed would be carried to new heights through Ash and this Scizor.

"Ash, are you finished with your battle?" Misty suddenly found them.

Following Ash's advice, after escaping her beauty classes, she had gone to practice the skill of surfing across the water using her Starmie. She had rushed over to show Ash and Molly the results of her training. With this skill, Misty's mobility as a Water-type Trainer would be vastly improved on the water.

"Misty, that's amazing!" Molly said, though she was still a little sad about parting with Scizor.

Ash rubbed her golden hair. As they traveled, her hair had grown a bit longer, and she was becoming more beautiful by the day. "You'll see Scizor again before the Silver Conference starts!"

"Mmhmm!"

After bidding farewell to the Pokémon Ninja School, Ash and his friends continued their journey and soon emerged from the forest.

"Ash, once we cross these mountains, we'll finally reach Ecruteak City!" Brock noted, looking at the Johto map in his travel brochure.

If they had stuck to the original path, the journey would have been much flatter. However, taking the detour to Bloom Town before turning back toward Ecruteak City meant they had to traverse many more rugged peaks. But that was the essence of a journey, and Ash was satisfied with the scenery along the way.

He had already achieved Bond Evolution with four of his Pokémon: Charizard, Houndoom, Slowking, and most recently, Scizor.

Charizard remained in the Charicific Valley to train, seeking power that surpassed legend. Houndoom and Slowkingrepresenting Fire, Water, Dark, and Psychicwere organizing and training the Pokémon Ash had left at Professor Oak's lab, constantly strengthening his reserve forces. Scizor remained at the Ninja School to learn combat techniques and would return before the Silver Conference.

"Just wait, Ecruteak Gym. I'll definitely get that badge!"

"And Ho-Oh... I wonder if I'll see you again!"

Inside Ash's backpack sat the Clear Bell that Suicune had entrusted to him on that rainy night!
