The room smelled like medicine.
Cold.
Too cold.
My eyes slowly opened.
Everything felt heavy.
My body.
My chest.
My heart.
Pain sat everywhere.
I tried to move.
I shouldn't have.
A sharp pain shot through my leg.
I closed my eyes tightly.
"…she's awake."
A voice.
Soft.
Shaking.
I turned my head slowly.
They were all there.
Yuri.
David.
C_in.
Everyone.
Standing like they were scared of me.
Or scared to lose me again.
Silence filled the room.
"Jay-Jay…"
David stepped closer.
"I'm sorry…"
C_in looked down.
"We couldn't protect you…"
Yuri's voice was low.
Tight.
"We failed you."
One by one…
They apologized.
Not loud.
Not dramatic.
Just real.
My chest tightened.
Tears filled my eyes.
"I was scared…"
My voice came out weak.
"I thought… I was going to die."
No one moved.

I took a slow breath.

My lips trembled.

Their eyes lifted.
Hope.
Fear.
Waiting.

A small smile formed on my lips.
Painful.

Relief broke across their faces.
David wiped his tears.

The word hit harder than the pain in my body.

"He left?"

I laughed softly.

"Of course…"

"I forgive all of you."

"But not him."

"He doesn't get forgiveness."
