Chapter 21 - Chapter 21 The Dragon's Favor

Unlike the brave Little Black and the courageous Little Green, Grey Shadow, inherently cautious, was slow to land.

Even though he was so hungry he had little strength left, and his two brothers were already eating with oil dripping from their mouths, Grey Shadow still vigilantly observed his surroundings.

It was no wonder that in the original timeline, Grey Shadow was able to survive even when his two brothers perished; this vigilance was indeed commendable, but it also meant he lived a stifled life!

Daenerys truly couldn't understand how Grey Shadow, who could evade the Glutton's hunt, was caught and eaten by the half-crippled Sunfyre.

This was as unbelievable as the commoners of King's Landing and Lys being able to slay dragons.

Did a deity intervene?! The Faceless Men?!

However, it's also possible that Grey Shadow was too cautious, lacked sufficient food, and was too small, getting cornered at home by the half-crippled Sunfyre? If he couldn't win, couldn't he at least escape?

Now that Daenerys is here, Grey Shadow, your spring has arrived!

While Grey Shadow hesitated, Little Black and Little Green quickly devoured the three fat sheep.

Especially when fighting over the third roasted sheep, how could the two young dragons care about brotherly affection?!

Little Black, having landed first, finished his sheep a step ahead.

He then bit into the third fat sheep, but before he could eat a few bites, Little Green snatched it away!

Little Green, having finished his own roasted sheep, unexpectedly bit the leg of the third fat sheep and, seizing the moment of Little Black's surprise, violently pulled the entire sheep away.

He then devoured a small portion of it ravenously.

Having his food taken ignited Little Black's fury, and he roared menacingly at Little Green several times.

Little Green, however, only had the fat sheep in his eyes and mouth, completely ignoring Little Black.

This enraged Little Black, who immediately jumped up and clawed Little Green, directly making a large gash on Little Green's chest.

Hot dragon blood immediately flowed out, scorching the nearby green grass.

Little Green, in pain, roared loudly at Little Black, unwilling to show weakness, but cunningly grabbed the remaining fat sheep with his hind legs and flew away.

Seeing this, Little Black followed closely behind him.

They continued to fight over the remaining roasted sheep in mid-air.

In the end, Little Black, being slightly larger, managed to snatch the remaining mutton, then triumphantly tossed the roasted sheep high into the air, caught it in one bite, and swallowed it.

That was quite a show!

While the young dragons were all in the air, Daenerys quickly had her servants drag six more marinated fat sheep onto the grill and swiftly added firewood.

Soon, the aroma of the fat sheep spread again.

Little Black and Little Green, who had rarely eaten their fill, quickly flew down when they saw this.

To build rapport with them, Daenerys stood not far from the grill this time.

Everyone present couldn't help but worry for Daenerys, even Emma gripped Viserys's arm and anxiously asked,

"Is Daenerys being too risky by doing this?!"

Viserys, while intently watching the young dragons, comforted Emma, saying,

"Don't worry, dragons won't harm pure-blooded Targaryen descendants!"

However, his frequently bobbing Adam's apple still betrayed that Viserys's mood was not as calm as it appeared.

Little Black and Little Green, seeing that the fat sheep weren't cooked yet, couldn't wait and directly spewed dragonfire onto them.

Little Black's dragonfire was a ghastly green, just like the Glutton's, and somewhat spattered.

Little Green's dragonfire was light green mixed with gold, a color very similar to the scales on his body.

Green with golden luster.

Although the temperature of their dragonfire was not as high as that of adult dragons, it was still far beyond the temperature of firewood, so it quickly cooked all six fat sheep.

Little Black impatiently pulled one over and began to eat it nearby.

Little Green, on the other hand, held one in his mouth, grabbed another with his hind leg, and then flew to a spot far from Little Black to eat.

This finally made Little Black, who had been watching Little Green out of the corner of his eye, stop bothering him and concentrate on eating.

This time, the cautious Grey Shadow finally succumbed to hunger and carefully flew to the grill, grabbed a goat, and flew off into the distance, disappearing from everyone's sight.

Little Black, meanwhile, ate his fat sheep as quickly as possible, then directly occupied the grill, guarding the remaining two roasted sheep under his body to prevent Little Green or Grey Shadow from stealing them again.

Two quarters of an hour later, Little Black and Little Green finally finished eating.

Out of a total of nine fat sheep, only three had their skeletons left.

The skulls of the first few fat sheep were crushed and eaten by them, which shows how scarce their food usually was.

And Little Black and Little Green seemed to know that these fat sheep were provided by Daenerys.

After eating their fill, they slowly moved in front of Daenerys.

Little Black sniffed her deeply, then rubbed his head against Daenerys, acting very affectionately.

Daenerys boldly placed her hand on his head, feeling his hot body temperature.

Her reflection slowly appeared in Little Black's vertical pupils.

Just as Daenerys was about to stroke him again, Little Black spread his wings and left.

After Little Black left, Little Green also came in front of Daenerys and sniffed her.

After carefully observing Daenerys, he also spread his wings and flew away.

Watching their retreating figures, Daenerys was lost in thought for a long time.

Viserys and Rhaenyra were much the same.

After all, as Dragon Knights, they clearly understood that the two young dragons were almost ready to acknowledge Daenerys as their master.

However, it was their established iron rule that each Targaryen could only be acknowledged by one dragon.

How was Daenerys different from previous Targaryens?

Not only had she already ridden Dreamfire, but Miraxis, Daenerys's companion dragon, was even closer to her.

They strongly suspected that Miraxis would also acknowledge Daenerys as his master when he grew up.

Now, these wild dragons were all so close to Daenerys; it was truly strange!

Until Cameron walked over and whispered in Daenerys's ear,

"Princess, the roasted sheep for Dreamfire are also ready!"

Coming back to her senses, Daenerys immediately said,

"Oh! Good, carry the roasted sheep and follow me!"

The Peeling Knights quietly carried the six fat sheep and followed behind Daenerys, walking towards the large rock where Dreamfire was resting.

Upon arrival, Daenerys walked in front of Dreamfire and gently stroked her dragon's lips, allowing her to fully relax.

The Peeling Knights carefully placed the roasted goats on the large rock and then retreated backward.

Because the experience Daenerys taught them was: never turn your back on a dragon!

Dreamfire was initially a bit displeased about having her meal interrupted by the young dragons, but now, looking at the six golden-roasted fat sheep, she immediately forgot all her unpleasantness and happily swallowed all six fat sheep, one by one.

Ever since Daenerys bonded with Dreamfire, she had never seen a dragon eat meat and spit out bones.

Thinking about it, it made sense; how could an adult dragon with such a large mouth and powerful bite force spit out a sheep bone that barely fit between its teeth?

It is said that dragons can even swallow rocks to supplement their iron levels, so why would they care about a small sheep bone?
