Liuxian accepted the prescription without looking at it. His attention remained on the monitor, where the final image of his stomach lining was still frozen on the screen. After several moments, he finally looked away and gave a slow nod.
"I'll come."
Yanchen allowed himself a faint smile. "I'm choosing to believe you this time."
Until then, Guiying had remained quietly seated beside them, allowing the two cousins to finish their conversation without interruption. Only after Yanchen gathered the reports into separate envelopes did he finally speak.
"You've been dealing with this alone all this time."
His voice remained gentle, but there was an unmistakable trace of worry beneath it.

Liuxian turned toward him before offering an apologetic smile.
"I didn't want you worrying about something I thought I could handle."
