Guiying swallowed before finally managing to speak.

His voice sounded unusually weak.

He paused briefly, waiting for another wave of dizziness to settle before continuing.
"I thought it had gone away."
"But it came back."
His breathing gradually became uneven again.
"It kept getting worse."
Liuxian quietly slipped an arm around Guiying's waist before supporting him against his shoulder. He didn't interrupt once, allowing Guiying to finish speaking at his own pace while carefully watching every subtle change in his expression.
"Can you stand?"
Guiying gave a small nod.
"I think so."
Liuxian slowly helped him to his feet.
The moment both feet touched the floor, Guiying instinctively reached for Liuxian's arm. His fingers tightened around the sleeve almost immediately, while the color slowly drained from his face before he had even taken a single step.
