SF Chapter 97: Morning After Chaos II
After Mischa finished venting her frustrations by repeatedly hitting Dani with the pillow, she finally let out a breath.
"That was kind of refreshing," she admitted.
"You're welcome!" Dani replied without seeming too bothered.
"Okay, let's talk now," Lexi said.
The three of them moved to the couch in Dani's bedroom and sat down.
Lexi was the first to start the conversation. "As Dani said, nothing that happened here is ever being talked about publicly."
She looked directly at Mischa. "We should tell Ben and Rachel that we went to my house afterward, and you slept there. I don't think they're untrustworthy, but I think it's better this way."
Mischa nodded immediately. "It's fine for me."
She grabbed her phone. "I texted my parents last night saying I was sleeping at a friend's house from the show, so it's all good."
"And since I live alone," Lexi added calmly, "no one can say otherwise."
Mischa visibly relaxed after hearing that.
That was clearly the part she had been most worried about. Something like this could seriously mess with her career.
"About me and Dani…" Lexi shifted the conversation to the next topic. "We're not dating, but we have this kind of relationship."
Mischa looked between the two of them before nodding slowly. "I… understand."
She gave Lexi a reassuring look. "Don't worry. I would never tell anyone about it."
"Like I said, this stays here," Dani reinforced. "I'm not the kind of guy who needs to go around talking about who I slept with."
"I never told anyone about me and Lexi. And it'll stay the same with you too, Mischa."
He continued, "It's like that Australia trip I told you guys about. I liked talking about the experience and the adventure more than pointing out which girl I was with."
"You know, Mischa, the first time I slept with Dani was actually kind of similar. We got really drunk, teased each other a lot, and... I woke up after a ménage," Lexi revealed.
"Wow," Mischa muttered while staring at her. "So you're a perv, Lexi?"
Lexi simply deadpanned while Dani burst out laughing.
"Ha! That's a good one!"
"Sorry, Lexi, that was spontaneous," Mischa said as she moved closer to her friend with an innocent expression.
But then she turned toward Dani and raised an eyebrow.
"What are you doing, Dani?" she asked while watching him type on his notebook.
"Writing," he replied. "I have this incredible superpower. I become creative after getting laid. Sometimes I write stories, sometimes I write music."
Mischa stared at him in disbelief at his shameless bullshit.
Lexi snorted. "The worst part is that he's not actually wrong. He really did make some nice songs after sex."
The blonde gave her a look that practically screamed, 'Are you kidding me?'
"Okay, what are you writing right now?" Alexandra asked as she moved closer to him.
"AH-"
But Dani suddenly let out a loud yell, startling both girls.
"What?!"
"I was on Google because I got curious. I just discovered that Mischa is a Russian nickname for Mikhail. Oh my God… I slept with a Mike!" Dani winced.
Mischa groaned, putting her hands over her face. "I didn't like it when I found out for the first time either. Stupid parents. And do you always need to have the sense of humor of a fifth grader, Dani?"
Alexandra coughed, visibly trying to hold back a laugh.
"Lexi!" Mischa said in betrayal, making the brunette completely lose it and burst out laughing.
That quickly became contagious, and soon all three of them were laughing.
"Gosh, you two are just dumb," Mischa said with a facepalm, though she also moved closer to Dani, curious about what he was writing.
"Well, here's the thing," he explained to Mischa. "I'm doing a movie about teenage pregnancy called Juno."
"Now I'm thinking… what if, instead of teenagers, it was about a somewhat dysfunctional young adult? And the girl was an actress?"
[Daniel commentary]
"Just like I did with Easy A and Mean Girls, I thought I could do the same with the others," Daniel commented on his idea.
"So here I am, writing Knocked Up with some discarded ideas from Juno."
[Commentary ends]
"I don't usually say anything about casting, but Seth would be incredible as the protagonist of what I'm writing," Dani pointed out.
"You mean Adam Brody?" Mischa asked.
"Oh, sorry. I meant Seth from my Superbad movie. The actor's name is Jonah Hill."
[Daniel commentary]
"Superbad turned out incredible. Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Michael Cera. They did such an incredible job," Dani remarked proudly.
"Michael was even cast in Juno as the teenager who got her pregnant."
[Commentary ends]
Dani explained it further to the two girls. "I'm thinking about calling it Knocked Up. Unlike the other one, this time I'm going full comedy."
"Wow," Lexi said while staring at him. "Would that be your fifth movie? Mean Girls, Superbad, Juno, Easy A, and now Knocked Up? What about The Hangover you were writing?"
"I put it on hold. I want to be more adult first. More mature comedy because of its content," he replied.
Dani took a deep breath. "Thankfully, Mean Girls was an incredible success, so the others just need to pay for themselves."
"Oh my God, they can't flop." He hugged Lexi dramatically. "I don't know how to be poor, Lexi."
"I'd have to keep writing more and more Wimpy Kid and Percy Jackson books to compensate. Like… work more than three hours a day," he said while making a horrified face.
"Why did you like him again?" Mischa asked.
"I sometimes ask myself the same thing," Lexi replied with her arms crossed.

After spending a while longer talking together, Mischa eventually went back home.
Dani was sitting on the couch while Lexi was lying comfortably against his body. They were watching a movie.
"You know she'll come back, right?" Lexi remarked without taking her eyes off the TV.
"Huh… well, we're good-looking, hot, and great in bed…" he smirked.
She ignored what he said. "You don't see that eager."
"Because I'm not. Mischa reminds me a lot of her character Marissa. Troublesome and messy."
"Yet she's incredibly beautiful," Lexi pointed out.
"For me, you're more beautiful than her. Body-wise, it's honestly not even fair to compare. And I like your witty, stoic personality way more," he said sincerely.
Lexi adjusted herself more comfortably, placing her hand over the arm he had wrapped around her waist.
"Why did you accept it, Lexi?" Dani asked curiously. "I know we got pretty drunk, started teasing each other, Mischa provoked us a lot, and then it just happened. But..."
"Maybe your horniness is contagious," Alexandra replied dryly. "Or maybe I think Mischa is very attractive, we were having such a good time, and it just happened."
"Maybe Mischa is right and you are a perv, Lexi," he joked, immediately receiving an elbow to the ribs in response.
